    As we entered the busdriver said
    "Alright ladies and gentlemen, I got good news and bad news for ya.
    Good news is weve just entered the Lincoln tunnel and will be arriving at Port Authority New York City soon.

    According to the info listed in this video, 112,995 vehicles go through in one day and at a toll of $16.00. That amounts to $1,807,920.00 a day. In one year that amounts to $659,890,800.00. Where does all that money go? And that's a low ball figure because trucks and buses pay even more than $16.00 to go through. Now that they're eliminating the toll booths and don't have to pay toll collectors anymore, what happen to all of that money. For that amount of money the states of N.Y. and N.J. could afford to build more tunnels and bridges. This would relieve a lot of daily traffic congestion.

      Have you seen how much that tunnell leaks. It requires constant maintenance.

    • @matthewgarcia1499
      @matthewgarcia1499 Před rokem

      Yes they go leak and of course preventive maintenance is a key but it’s a regenerating revenue daily and annual revenue exponentially!
      and leaks can be fixed at exorbitant costs but it’s not like it’s a leak per day if you catch my drift etc…
      they need to innovate and also expand infrastructure and definitely rehabilitate existing ones… NYC roads are in dyer need of repair…Clearly the population density outweighs the 1950s infrastructure in 2022… I’m also wondering as well Dale….

    • @apaulmcdonough2170
      @apaulmcdonough2170 Před rokem

      The Toll is only paid going from NJ into NY. Your Traffic Numbers are BOTH Ways, so your Math isn't valid
      The Tunnels and the GW Bridge are Expensive to Operate and Maintain.
      And E-Z Pass Toll is cheaper and also uses a lot of the revenue.
