We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university and live life full-time. We're planning to visit every country in the world before we're 30 with an initial goal of 100 before the end of 2022. By the time of posting this video, we're both 24 :)
Lithuania was country #78/197🌍
After spending a week traveling around Ireland in a rental car, we boarded a flight to Riga. We only had a short time to explore the two Baltic countries we hadn't visited (we visited Estonia back in 2019), so our visit was limited to the capitals and their surroundings. We can't wait to return to see more of the region in the future!
Thank you for watching!🙏😍
Your content is so amazing, seriously can't get enough from the both of you!!
Also, labas dienas broliai! (Greeting to our Lithuanian brothers!) 🇱🇻 ❤️ 🇱🇹
❤️❤️❤️
Lietuvas un Latvias tautu draudziba forever!
Laba diena*
@@mjbjosh what do you mean by that?
В Прибалтике депрессивно. Она выdмирает, людей нет, все разъехались.
I'm Latvian and absolutely enjoyed your video about Rīga, and just wanted to see, what happens next. And now I realise that I have not been in Vilnius for ages (since I was kid and half of the Latvians went shopping to Vilnius Market) and I haven't seen any of things you showed. Now I am definitely going there! Tnx, guys! And good luck with your next trips!
Thanks for continuing watching Gita!🙌

Yay, it's so nice to see your experiences in Lithuania! About hot ballons: when you see them everyday at the same time from your flat's window, they become pretty normal thing 😂
We can imagine!🙌
Hey I have a question about hot air Ballons in Vilnius - do you need a covid certificate ad wear a mask while flying on the ballon? Can't seem to find any info on that, maybe locals can help me here?
Dan and Oskar - great blog! Can't wait for you to try cepelini (local dish) if you find a vegan option

Rimi is owned by the same group that owns ICA, so it's unsurprising you found items there that you'd find at home. Baltics have a lot of Nordic stuff, from food to banks and telecommunication services, like SEB or Telia haha.
At least we do have our own companies like Citadele and Maxima.
@@seiwarriors Of course we do. It's just that the Northern European region is more intertwined than one would think! I personally find it amusing when people from Nordic countries come here and are amazed at all of the stuff they recognize from home 😅
Actually, RIMI even existed in Sweden in the 90'ts, it was like ICAs brand of smaller stores. Most of them were turned into the brand ICA Nära.
I thought Rimi was Norwegian (there are many Rimi stores in Norway), and I was surprised to see Ica eco products in there.
@@niure86 Rimi was founded in 2005 mate. Althought in Norway, Sweden and Finland they used the name Rimi but changed it to Co-op extra. Source Wikipedia.
Such a nice vibe. Latvians usually divide themselves in two types- those who love Estonia and those who love Lithuania, because we are in the middle. I am more of the type who loves Estonia, but after this video I got a new appreciation for Lithuania. Sadly I study in Germany, so I can't visit Lithuania anytime soon, but def is on my list.
Btw, takk for besøket the Baltic States, nobody knows much about us and I think we are underrated, maybe even forgotten.
Thanks a lot! Hoping these videos can open people’s eyes about the Baltics!
I like all three capitials for different reasons
Well why would you like Lithuania. Especially if you're from Latvia. Lithuania is basically a Latvia, just slightly better at everything.
@@MrVafflis I simply dislike the post-soviet society. The unnecessary hate against race, other nationalities and minorities is the reason why I won’t come back to the Baltic States until the boomer generation and older millennial is gone.
@@mjbjosh what did they worse at exactly??? Literally every major economy categorie shows LTU is ahead in Baltics. Name one thing where they lacking?
Always such a pleasure to watch your vlogs! I've said it before and I'll say it again, the editing, music, photography and timing are sublime! Vilnius looks stunning and I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode...
THANK YOU!
В Прибалтике депрессивно. Она выdмирает, людей нет, все разъехались.
Yes, Baltics is like mini Scandinavia: same TV, radio channels: TV3, TV6, Viaplay by Viasat, Power Hit Radio and don't forget banks (SEB, Swedbank, danske) & shops (Rimi aka ICA, Ikea) also don't forget Telia phone operator...😁 Btw, nice video!

No Oskar... no... step away from the gold car... But honestly guys, I was in Vilnius in 2015, I loved the old town vibe, the square, the castle, and the hot air balloons on the horizon with the sun setting in the background. Love your video yet again and am glad you had the best of times there...
Don’t take my golden car away from me!!😂
Loved the video as always!! Lithuania has such stunning landscape!! Definitely going on my bucket list. Its like this secret undiscovered place by most people that's amazing for a trip, that won't be too overcrowded with tourists!! ❤️❤️
Thank you!🙏❣️

This city has super impressive architectural views...also you get to see Cappadocian like sky with a beautiful water body below...

"May I call you jiggly?" that shit SENT ME 🤣🤣🤣 but on a real note though, that was a lot more different from Latvia than I was expecting, it's like they have their own unique personalities and are completely distinct even though they're neighbors. Cool.
😂😂 glad you appreciated that
As soon as I hear jiggly, I think of Jiggly Caliente from RuPaul 😁😂
Sunset is STUNNING! Thank you Oskar & Dan for this Video! 🙇♂️❤

I'm latvian and lithuanian
1:32 I was in Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, a few years ago and in a small mall there was a Swedebank (Swedish, obviously), Rimi (Swedish), DNB (Norwegian bank) and Narvesen (Norwegian kiosk/convenience store).
I was living in Bergen, Norway at the time and it was really funny and completely unexpected to find these shops and banks all together in one little mall!
Years thinking that there's only rimi in Lithuania and Latvia
@@bigytutoshd5146 Rimi Baltic is a major retail operator in the Baltic states. It is a subsidiary of Swedish group ICA. Rimi Baltic operates 291 retail stores in Estonia (88 stores), Latvia (132 stores) and Lithuania (71 stores) and has distribution centres in each country. wkpd

The reason you saw many ICA products in Rimi shop is because ICA is actually the parent company of Rimi, Rimi was made by ICA for Baltic market in 2005.
Rimi was a Norwegian store that ICA bought.
And it goes way back before 2005 in Latvia.
you guys edit your videos so well, the music really goes well with the beautiful moments you capture, like the balloons or sunset, spectatcular!

Great Video :) I just moved to Vilnius and the cafe you went is my favourite place to go :)
Amazing!🙌
I hope you guys tried cepelinai there in Lithuania! Love them 🤩

RIMI is ICA, it is owned by Sweden ICA. Also we have mobile operators in the Baltics: Tele2 and Telia from Sweden, also IKEA :)
You guys are so cute together ❤.
I think you saw a section with Swedish foods in Baltics (Riga) because you went to Rimi - the chain supermarket owned by Sweden. No onther chains would have Swedish foods in Baltics, except Absolut vodka😁
*Your 4K videos look so great on a big screen 4k TV!* Thanks for the extra effort to film and edit and upload in 4K.
Curious if analytics break down your views by phone, computer, or TV?
Yes and apparently more people watch on TV than we thought! thanks for watching🙌
Im with Oskar about the gold car!!!!
Hell yes!!😎
Oskar so deserves his gold car! lol ( I love hearing you guys speak Swedish to each other. :) Another beautiful video.
Haha I sincerely thank you!! /Oskar

Hey guy . So excited for this new video. I love the scenery and views from ur content. I think u should make videos that are a bit longer. Can u got to Germany show us the cities their. Love ya guyz. 🥰🤣😂
Haha we try to make them an ideal length!😌💗
You saw a lot of Swedish products in Rimi because it is a subsidiary of ICA so it makes sense that there are products also sold in ICA.
We had no idea!
Golden Lexus, hmm 😅 If you want it, you must have it 😉 I say it's a special color, that I ever before seen on a car! Great video, Thank you! - Sanna
Haha I will have my way!😂
Hey now room service on a bus, I could do that. The car, no F'ing way. Fantastic video and tour. Thanks
We are Erasmus students in Vilnius u need to come to the +++ bar it s epic 😁😁😁
Oskar, please don’t get a shiny gold car. 😂 Great video guys. Thank you.
Hahaha but I want it!!
Oskar you go get the car. 😀 Great video.
As a long-time vegan advocate, I can't thank you enough for showing how beautiful and delicious cruelty-free eating is.
🌱💚
What is a vegan advocate? Everyone is free to do whatever he wants but nature is cruel, and you are just a part of it. Being vegan doesn’t make you a better person

Hello from Latvia
I am sure you filmed this video in the summer. Am I right? It should be cold there now. BTW, I always enjoy watching your videos and I can't believe that I haven't been to this part of Europe to make videos!!!
According to Dan, It was “the 2nd week of September”
This was second week of Sept!

If you come again to Lithuania (Vilnius), come to Vilnius Outlet , today is opening, the biggest Outlet centre in North Europe and the biggest Rimi :) Modern and Green Place.
latvian bread crumbs are like garlic bread chips. theyre nice
Of course I would get a golden car. Who wouldn't, right? 😂
I like how you refer to it as: "Emirates in real life". Spot on if you ask me.
Haha yesss! #teamgoldcar
Oscar love car spot on.
Hahaha yess!!
Rimi chain is owned by ICA. That is why there are so many Swedish items in Rimi :)
Nothing wrong with a gold Lexus! 😜
Am I right?!😍😂
Oskar and dan hope ckme visit island Barbados ,love vlogs keep up boys
Thank you!! We are traveling from Krakow to Vilnius to Riga then onto Tallinn on January 28-31, stopping in Vilnius for a night, then onto Tallinn. Any advice? Changing trains? Hotels near the train stop? Thank you!!

Oscar, the man with the golden car! Does this mean you want to be in a James Bond film I ask myself?
It just means I have expensive taste😌

Another excellent vlog. You guys are so lucky to find so many vegan options in the markets and in restaurants. I guess the Europeans are more in tune with that. In LA you would expect it but not so much I'm afraid. FYI a vegan gay restaurant/bar opened in West Hollywood call Stache. It's ok. Just what WEHO needs is another gay bar. 2 more are opening up soon all within a 1 block. Looking forward to further adventures in Lithuania. Stay well.
Thank you!🙏
Came for the travel videos, stayed for the Drag Race references. Subscribed!
Yeeees✨❤️
Great video as always! Answer about the car: I wouldn't purchase a 'golden' car, but I would not mind riding in one for a short while, for instance on a vacation. I do not dislike it, but I wouldn't want to own a car that attracts so much attention.

RIMI is owned by ICA Gruppen AB so that's why there is a lot of products with ICA brand in Rimi stores
That makes SO much sense!

Hi guys just curious what backpack do you use and what brand thank you love your videos
Wandrd and Samsonite!
Latvia is a pretty cheap tourist destination, especially for Scandinavia, so there's probably a market for Swedish foods and things like that

RIMI is scandinavian store in Latvia :) (at least we think it is)
Owned by ICA apparently but we never heard of Rimi!😄

Don't remember exactly, check the online schedule :)
Latvia is very Swedish looking, from the Hansa looking old town in Riga to the streets filled with Swedish cars, they perhaps have more Volvo and Saab than Sweden.
@True Freedom mentality and culture side, Latvians are more Russian than Swedes, neither close to Estonian and Lithuanian
ahh really sorry that you did’n taste the chips that are made in latvia called Adazi chips
Rimi is a Norwegian company so no wonder they have plenty Scandinavian stuff
Have you already been to Belgium?
Yes! But it’s been a while😄
