Quick tip: there is an in-engine function to automatically destroy particles once they've finished playing! There should be a dropdown menu labeled "Stop Action," which you can set to "Destroy" to destroy the particle system once it's finished.
Thanks so much for the advice! This video makes my eyeballs and brain happy.
Wow! I had no idea about that. Does it destroy the entire object, plus children?
@@LycheeGameLabs It does destroy the entire object, so I'm like fairly certain it destroys children by proxy. I can't check right this second but I'd bet, like, a dollar on it at least.
Your animations are so satisfying to look at
It would be very helpful to go into the details of setting up the actual particle effect rather than just drawing a particle.
Thanks for this video! Very good info on how to build up particle fx.
No problem Michael
Another Underated Channel!
does anyone notice the background sounds of the video? damn i just realize how aesthetic it sounds. I really appreciate it bro!
Thanks for the sprite sheets, they are amazing! :)
Could you show how to actually create those confetti particles from the beginning?
Fantastic video!
Got any tips or tricks on how to make those smooth eye-popping menus and UI elements?
Great vid!
Love this channel
Thanks Crospectra, love you too
I would love to see your art tutorials. I just started to learn hand drawing but I'm not good. And it's really hard to find resources for game art! 🙃
Would be helpful to see how you build one of these in Unity.
This video is amazing!!!
Thanks my dude :D
Instead of making a texture, you can just set the size and color to be random at the start for the mini water droplets on the fountain turtle thing
Super
YES
awesome video! Would you recommend using 2D or 3D particles in a 3D game? Or is this a style choice?
yes
*I'll Will Press* has another original Flash enthusiast!
*Unity's particle system*
Hi, nice video. Could you make a video about the effect at 0:29 or link it anywhere? Would highly appreciate it.
That effect has 3 systems. There's a sphere emitter of sparkles in the middle. Another sphere emitter of rays around it (with a thin edge radius) and a small emitter in the middle that creates a soft, dark "shadow" particle. This shadow makes the other effects pop. Use the sorting order property to make sure the shadow is behind the other systems.
Hope that helps!
Can you tell how you made glow around some objects on gamefield?
I render that section very brightly (using 'high dynamic range' colors) and then use Unity's bloom effect to blur these bright sections.
Thanks for the tips! Bothers me that you say parDicle and not parTicle tho, lol.
Wait, is that Flash? :O
Hi!! How are you?? Can I use your particle texture for my game???
dude where your views at
I think somebody stole them
cause there is no way this video has less than 5k views
1st (again XD)
Fuck...
