@@cowl6867 I’ve been toying with game development for over 10 years, but I didn’t really step up my game and properly learn to program until around 2020. Anyone can get as good as I have with enough practice, but my true passion has always been more towards design than actual programming. I feel like I’m only just scratching the top of the iceberg, but I really appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm :)

@@ArtemiusMiave If only! The game industry and similar positions using my skills are very competitive and require a bachelors degree and several years of experience at minimum. My professional work hasn’t gone much further than various teaching/instructional positions and just recently entry-level marketing. Without an impressive portfolio and a bachelors degree, there’s little time for game dev outside hobby and freelance gigs. Not to discourage anyone from getting into it haha

The funniest for me is Prompt Engineer. I mean sure you can come up with names for it but engineer or Ai artist is just so wrong lol. (Also an actual Ai expert is very good at coding a bunch of complex Ai concepts, probably not someone who just uses Ai services)
@@roggos3668there is a certain knowledge involved in prompting to get the best results. I've used some chatgpt plugins and I was surprised how elaborate prompts they give you and how drasticaly it changes the resulsts. Sure, you can learn how to write such prompts, but it takes some time to sit and use AI and research what works best and you have to have at least an idea how AI work.
If you don't want mediocre results and don't have time to try many many times to get something at least decent out of AI, then why not pay for it?

The last game was the coolest in terms of mechanics, but i think the third game had a really interesting art style that i think suited the game idea

@@Najmul- no i didn't, but i like it a lot. The art looks really nice to me, the rotating looks really smooth and nice, I like the death-falling too, the landing effect fits really well with the rest of the things, the grappling hook is cool, i like it a lot
The graphics make it look nicer feel a lot less flat than the other ones, and I like the mechanics, to sum it up.

Yeah I don't really understand. If he paid someone to make a good scenario for an AI like AI dungeon I could maybe understand, because ChatGPT isn't really made for a big roleplaying experience like that, and it might be hard to come up with details to make it go through an interesting roleplaying experience. But asking ChatGPT to come up with a game idea is as easy as talking to it like you would a child xD. Asking it questions or telling it things (like come up with a game with x mechanic, or can you come up with a game concept with x concept?) then if it doesn't understand, explaining what you really wanted it to do.

These 'AI Experts' essentially selling you prompts are such bullshit lol. I don't know what exactly qualifies them as AI experts but even so there really is no real benefit to having an 'AI Expert' creating game development prompts. If anything, someone with experience developing games has a better chance of generating meaningful answers as they understand the right questions to ask.
I would bet since he works with fiverr it's part of the sponsorship agreement to have more stages where he hired someone on fiverr. I don't think he actually believes they add value

All four games were awesome. I love how the last game changed it up a bit and flipped the entire room. That’s super creative
And also a nice visual element, really adds to the atmosphere by messing with you in a fun way. Forces to you to really think in a 3D perspective for a 2D game.
Even just the purple and the grappling hook. It was a level ahead in design. That would sell and stand a chance of being ver well received with the right effort on presentation.
The last game could actually be really awesome if it was further worked on. Keep up the great work!

@@PsychoDude more levels, possibly additional things like dashes or limitations to make the game harder. Fix bugs and physics (You saw how after changing the gravity, hook weirdly moved)

To me, 1 and 4 looked very cool. 1 seemed to be really cool in terms of intense puzzle and problem solving, while 4 having much cooler concepts but seemed a bit on the easier side due to switching gravity holding you in place. I think it would be interesting if switching gravity was time-constrained and you would just fall if you didn’t do anything for 2-3 seconds.

I would have challenged game devs to follow a theme, like "all has a price" or "time is money", but leave the execution up to them. Then, I would compare theirs to mine based on the same theme.

@@Icu282well that's what makes it accessible and popular, but there are probable methods of biasing your results through different nodes or even coming up with your own networks... if they really are an AI expert they have computer engineering degrees in AI research... self driving etc
The 3rd game felt really satisfying to me. The jumping and gravity was very fluent and easy to execute leading to a consistent flow of gameplay. The mid-level saves were also a nice touch. Overall great work to all developers ^^
The first and last ones were my favorites. The third one looked like style over substance in the worst possible way. It looks good if you show only screenshots, but once you watch video footage you notice how barebones it actually is.
I remember playing a game called "shift" as a kid. Exactly the premise of the first game in the video.

as others have said if that last game had some polish between the successive usage of mechanics and other juice it would be pretty fire. although, the feel of the third is really nice tho too, reminds me of some old gba games I played. and while simplistic I still think 1 was cool too depending on how much more there was too it

I'm not the only one, then. That game reminds me a lot of Final Ninja, only with the added ability to warp gravity. This was such a good game and I wish all of the game developers success into the future.

The third game had an incredible idea, artstyle and sound design
The fourth game however claims the top spot as it managed to make the gravity flip concept interesting. I really hated the idea because it's been done so many times and it's more frustrating than interesting
The last game however was actually brilliant and fun, and that's what games are all about
While the visual and sound design were also great
Touché to both developers, a combination of the two would make for a brilliant game

Loved the look and sound of the third game. Puzzle complexity was cool on the first, and i liked the idea of pausing during gravity switch in the fourth. Overall, i think everyone did a nice job. Could definitely go on from there
I'm actually currently working on a game like this.... But with the addition of enemies and it's set in a space station.
3rd game was honestly beautiful and looked fun, loved the retro art appeal, it looked more completed than the others. That said, 4th had a lot more thought put into the gameplay.
i think it’d be really cool to give a very detailed description of the game, but pay the fiverr devs vastly different amounts of money. like one gets $5, one gets $50, one gets $100, and one gets $300, something like that. id like to see how much more effort the ones who got more money put in, and what the ones who got less leave out, as it wasn’t “worth” including

After hearing "gravity" game i was thinking of shooting some kind of objects that have different huge masses and moving through levels by orbiting around them, maybe also changing environment by breaking balance of gravity in current world

1 and 4 spoke to me personally. They are the types of games I would normally buy if they were full featured games.
3 would find it's crowd, I'm thinking retro Castlevania type of players would love it.
No hate to the dev of game 2. Mechanically it looks sound but because of the art style I feel like it would struggle it gain footing. For whatever reason at least to me it seemed like it lacked identity in that regard and as competitive as the indie game scene has become I feel like that would make it struggle

@@parabalani That second point is absolutely correct. Honestly this channel is incredibly flawed for me to even subscribe. I found an interest in it but looking at the misleading thumbnail and little to no commentary just bores me away. Also disliking the button at this point is not only futile towards the channel but feeding the algorithim more because essentially "more comments, more likes/dislikes (to the video) = more engagement = more chance to be viewed into the front page of CZcams.
Rather, it's better to turn off notification/video from this creator (if you aren't interested in them anymore)
