I cried when I saw Roma
That birth scene got so emotional n disthrought
😪
It felt so real. I cried too lol
Same.
me too
That scene hit me so hard. I will probably choke up every time I see it.
when Cleo said she didn't want her child, that was when tears began running down my cheeks.
I COULD LISTEN TO RACHEL WEISZ SPEAK ALL DAY. Her accent and tone are just perfection
Ikr
Love the way Sam Elliot calls Lady Gaga Stephanie
Her name is Stefani not Stephanie
@@Starkardur she isnt that great
Quan Dang I don’t see you with an Oscar nom 😂
@@screenactorsguilable Feel better troll?
@@mickilynch7126 someday you'll see mine not now. AIA, Lady Gaga is overrated 4 playing a singer :v
That Sam Elliot scene was something special
ExiledExia yeah my wife looked over at me waiting to see some tears. And she wasn’t disappointed 😂🤦🏾♂️
dickhearne hahah I can imagine that
The scene inserted in the video even made my cry with the drop of a hat.
Alfonso's laugh is amazing LMAO
I love his smile. It's so beautiful 😍
I think that was the interviewer's laugh
@@DiegoProgressive yeah because the interviewer has 2 laughs...
@@DDPK Listen carefully...
@@DiegoProgressive what???? there are clearly 2 laughs LMAO
I almost cried watching this video.
I did!
I think my answer is Coco. I lost my grandmother to Alzheimers, and she was dying when I first saw the film. It handled the topic so maturely for a kids film. And that final scene when Coco and Hector reunite is beyond beautiful.
Richard Kraus it's not just that is "handled" so maturely it's just the natural way Mexicans see death even children
I love Alfonso Cuarón and when he mentioned Eight Grade i had to scream bc i cried too much with that movie
I don't know if I'm the only one, but during Shoplifters when they question the guy why he teached his "children" how to shoplift, and he says he teached them the only thing he knew... God, I was bawling my eyes out.
That movie broke me
Same here man. So many emotionally affecting moments in this masterpiece. I also almost cried when I saw the oranges roll out on the street. Another one is when they ask her if she took the children in because she couldn’t have any and another is at the end when the kid on the bus turns around and says “dad”.... God that film truly broke me to pieces
I also cried when the police was interrogating the mother and asked "what did they call you" then she just started crying like how i cry in real life and that really broke my heart to shards. for me shoplifters is the best movie of 2018 and would probably be one of my favourite films ever
@@iofiiofi4831and her saying they called me mom…i don’t remember much of that amazing movie, but that scene was stunning
I sobbed during Beautiful Boy. It’s just heartbreaking and real and intense and about fathers and family, which are soft spots for me.
Aw the way sam elliot talks about gaga :’)
I’ll bet Bo Burnham & Elsie Fisher are freaking out over Alfonso’s answer!
I cried at the beach scene that when Cleo said she didn't want the baby to be born, it was too heartbreaking.
God, I love the passion behind these filmmakers and actors.
I honestly cried during every one of these movies. Movies get me pretty easily, even stuff I didn’t think was outstanding (Green Book) brings me to tears at times
Hayden Christensen saw them all. Only cried at ‘a star is born’. (Crying is an understatement. More like mental breakdown)
Roma Cuarón. 🇲🇽❤️🤗
Alfonso is so cute 😍😍😍
I love Rachel Weisz
Boy Erased is such a great movie, too bad it didn't get the attention it deserved.
YES. So great. Wish I could trade mahershala for Lucas.
@ Natalie Zayas-Bazan your comment makes no sense...they wouldn't even be in the same category...
I didn't like it at all
@@Nazaba09 girl are you dumb??
smoothie criminal and how do you know that? Have you been paying attention to the conversation where technically EVERYONE in ‘the favourite’ should be lead? Do you remember when viola Davis was supporting even though she’s clearly lead? You never know where people will fall. Trying to tell me my comment makes no sense as if you know how submitting yourself works. 🙄
ROMA awesome a masterpiece
A Star Is Born made me cry. The last 20 minutes had me in tears. Best of luck on Sunday.
I love how they mentioned movies that got no recognition from the Oscars (Eighth Grade, Annihilation, Boy Erased, Won't You Be My Neighbor).
Wow. It's really great how these creators are in tune with their emotions.
BARRY JENKINS❤️
I cried with so many 😅😅😅 Roma and Boy Erased lately... with Coco, Precious, Life is Beautiful 😢😢😢😢
I cried when Thor landed in Wakanda 😰
Out of all the things mentioned, never did something feel more true than this comment. I thank you for that lol
Yesssss!
Eighth Grade was also the last film I truly cried in, and my favorite movie from 2018.
YESS MEXICAN QUEENS PRAISING "BEALE STREET" 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤
The producer is not Mexican. She's Venezuelan
I cried with “Christopher Robin”. Such an underrated movie
I cried when I watched A Star is Born. Two scenes: the ending, and where Sam Elliot backs out of the driveway.
It takes too much for me to cry watching a film. But happened when i watched Cold War. Such a devastating piece.
It's been a while since I cried at the movies. Finding Neverland. When Freddie Highmore cries at the end about his mom, I just lost it.
THANK YOU. THIS REALLY TOUCHED ME.
Mr Rodgers made me cry ❤️
The first minute is everyone except Cuaron praising Roma.
I'm a cryer, but for happy endings. Like Mama Mia, the first one. Cried like a baby.
I've seen Roma about 10 times now, I cry every time. However the last movie I cried was Capernaum, the second best foreign film in my opinion this year. I stayed after the credits bawling like a little kid.
So many beautiful movies didn't get recognition !!!
remember when they did this last year and they said call me by your name ..... good times I miss 2018 award season so much
Besides "Roma," Chloe Zhao's "The Rider" pretty much brought me to tears, such a beautiful movie.
If Beale street could talk ♡😭
I've seen all of those films and I just can't believe people can cry with them.
I cried so much while watching Won’t you be my neighbor?
..... still can’t believe how Academy snubbed them
Last time I cried when watching a movie was the ending of Creed 1 when Rocky and Adonis walked those steps. It gets me every time.
If Beale Street Could Ralk should've gotten a BP nomination
it was shot beautifully, i felt like watching a moving poem, just floating in the air.
I’m sure Beale Street and First Man or A Quiet Place were the final picks for the last 2 spots but the voters probably couldn’t pick 2 so they just went with 8 nominations
I cried watching this video.
So many Roma answers
I haven’t yet gotten to see ‘Won’t you be my Neighbour?’ but the trailer made me tear up.
I don't cry too easily but just saw Mirai, it almost made me tear up! Beautiful film, sometimes it's difficult for me to connect with Japanese animation but really loved this one, it's really sweet and heartwarming.
P.S. This video is great! 👊🏼
I misread this as the "In Memoriam" for some reason and I freaked out 😂
Did Sam Elliot pick his own movie?😂😂😂
So did Spike Lee
Spike Lee isn't in this video.
The way the nominations went, it's apparent that a lot of the members skipped "Mary Poppins Returns." So delightful and so well made. And Emily Blunt was perfect. Her song "The Place Where Lost Things Go" made me cry a lot. Maybe even 'ugly cry.' Maybe it's because I lost my mom. It highlights the loss of a loved one so sweetly. Glad that Bette Midler will get to sing it on the broadcast.
Seems like it. I think it was released very late in the awards season for it to gain traction among critics.
Unfortunately Emily Blunt suffered from the Amy Adams Curse this year which is giving so many great performances in one year that you get skipped because it’d be unfair. Blunt could’ve been nominated for Lead Actress for Poppins and Supporting Actress for A Quiet Place
@@antoniobrooks474 In this case others gave better performances... That's why they were nominated and she was not!
This video makes me which i wasn’t so cold and was able to cry in those movies
The Farewell will be up for some awards next year. Mark my words
They probably got to see at Sundance! I saw it there and believe it me, it has its moments that will get you crying-- and it will most likely get nominated as well@FRENZEX
I think it got picked up by A24 and they're good at Oscar campaigns, though they're opening it in July which is odd, so we'll see. I personally just cried listening to the true story on This American Life a few years ago so I'm sure I'll be a mess at the actual movie.
Can’t wait to watch it
Isn't Barry Jenkins and the director of The Farewell dating though?
Just rewatched Room on Netflix. Cried like a BABY. Brie Larson feels too real.
Capharnaum got me wailing
Okay but did y’all watch “shoplifters” that movie wrecked me 😩😩
The Room made me cry 😢
#ROMA!!!! made me cry ...well not cry was balling....for a couple of days actually 🙏😭😭😭
Shoplifters for me
I'm also an easy crier and did shed a few tears for Roma and A Star is Born, but the movie that absolutely had me sobbing in the theater was Blackkklansman, surprisingly enough. That sudden shift in tone towards the end and the way the message punches you in the face was incredibly effective. Definitely my choice for Best Picture.
I last cried watching “A Private War” Rosumand Pike should have been nominated for an Oscar... such brilliant flawless and raw performance.
Last time I cried at a film was watching Jellyfish, a very underrated, extremely hard-hitting British indie film
Alfonso loving Eighth Grade, an intellectual!
I want to watch all of these movies
I am very proud of nadien labky so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧
The Insult is excellent as well. Lebanon has a great vision for filmmaking.
Some love for Boy Erased 😢
Last time I cried at the movies
Me:When Spider-Man died at the end of Infinity War
I cried so many times in A Star Is Born. Even right from the beginning. Lady Gaga is phenomenal in it.
Dancer in the Dark scarred my life
Green book make me cry
Yes Mr. Rogers
Last time for me was today when I saw FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY. I cry at movies all the time.
Meanwhile ROMA left me cold.
Chris Miller probably cried watching Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Barry Jenkins talking about The Farewell - and then he falls in love with Lulu Wang
The last time I cried was when I watched They Shall Not Grow Old. Surprise that didn't get nominated
The only movie that I cried at was the short film "Bao". Hope it wins.
Wow.💗
I cried watching fruitVale station R.I.P Oscar Grant.
Music?
Does anybody know what background music is used? Shazam or Aha music did not find anything...It's such an emotional theme.
I have only cried with Lion King and the end of return of the king
SAM CALLING HER STEFANI IM OUT
YO THEY MENTIONED BOY ERASED AND EIGHTH GRADE YES THATS RIGHT
I cried when Miles became Spiderman and took that leap of faih
Last time I cried during a movie was when I saw Into the Spider-Verse and Stan Lee says; "It always fits...eventually."
When Gaga performed at SNL in A Star Is Born. So painful I didn't know if I should laugh or cry so I cried.
mans said green book... lmfaoo
here for Barry Jenkins pitchin' his girlfriend's movie, The Farewell
Melissa had to watch Roma in chunks because it's so loooooong
Wow...Pawel Pawlikowski liked A star is born. Cool.
Don’t know if I’m the only one who didn’t Like Roma that much I watched 1 hour than didn’t get it
The last Time I cried movie was
Three billboards outside ebbing Missouri
The window scene
1:03
But really Spike Lee said his own movie?! Kinda weird imo
No one said First Man :( that movie fucked me up so bad
Capernaum wrecked me.
William Dafoe
Deat Zachary
I cried when thanos snapped his fingers
Barry Jenkins being a little sneaky pretending like he just happened to stumble across this film at Sundance.... that was directed by his girlfriend.
