Came here from Renoa's channel, keep up the good work
I hope this takes off, I really like the idea!
Shawn- saw you on Jehu Garcias channel just now! Great way to get your great product out there!
Thanks Aidan- I am not much into self promotion- but my Score advisor wanted me to enter this competition...
i just voted for ya i like these battery blocs. even though im not using them for a ebike i made a nice and easy battery to run my dc computer
Hey Thanks Mike! Glad you like BatteryBlocs.
Shawn, Looks like you cater mostly to smaller battery packs for e-bikes, etc. Can you do a video/video series on large battery packs for those of us interested in DIY Powerwalls using your BatteryBlocs? Thanks, love the videos!
I don't know how to balance packs large enough to power a house. I am open for ideas. The best thinking I have is to use a separate charger for each parallel group of cells. Any Ideas? Conventional BMS's and Hobby Chargers would take too long...
Hi! Do you know any good solution for balancing a 20s battery. Bms is stupid and two icharger is to expensive.
Yes. Make two 10S battery packs connected in series with a XT-90 connector. Run them in series, and disconnect to charge/balance in parallel.
Ooh i see. Very clever. But could you then charge a 10s battery without splitting it, on two 5 cell balance chargers?
You would still need to wire each battery half of the 10S. You would need to wire two 5S batteries- but you could still leave the batteries connected in series- as long as you NEVER attempted to balance both at once- or you will short out the balance wires...
one possible (untapped) market might be people who use trolling motors on kayaks/personal pontoons (like me) because the standard lead-acid battery is Very heavy......would you be Against the idea of me purchasing battery blocs and cells from you, (in a 12v configuration) and marketing/ selling them on Amazon/ebay to the trolling motor enthusiasts?? ( could be a win-win)
....(already assembled in a pack) ...plug in and go.
Hi Daniel,
I welcome you to try this. I'd be happy to work with you on the design.
Shawn
Great!!.....(thought yoy were beiing a jerk, with NO respponse) (lol),...anyway,..yea bro,.I get my check on thev 3rd ( disabled),..but I'll purchase" 1 "12 volt bloc set, or two ( for amp hrs) just to get the construction down pat. ( I have the "jist" of it only) anyway, I"m excited to cut the 4x4 posts,..and make a "plug and play" 12v unit,.. and sell for a small profit to supplement my measly stipend and Bordom (lol) .....2/3./17 Baby!! Bye :-)
P.s.,...Ilive on a river Fla.
