  • This 2 minute video will show you how to make a simple ratchet strap winder using only an old coat hanger and a drill. It's ridiculously simple. Costs nothing. And winds a ratchet strap into a neat coil in seconds. You'll never wind them by hand again.

Wasted a couple of hrs in my Garage trying to look for something that I could DIY to use with the drill to wind up my straps and then I came across your video after nearly giving up. Thanks so much! Liked and subscribed!!

    Really very simple, but...
We truckers do not start at the far end of the belt, but after a quarter or third of the end. This protects the end and does not deform it.

THANK YOU!! I spent a lot of time rolling my straps after fishing trips... This is stupid simple and a time saver.. Usually i have to manually roll around 8 straps for my boat.

I need to wind webbing but I need the center of the coil to be about 2.5“ in diameter. Any ideas using this drill technique?

If you set the prongs 2.5” apart the center will be 2.5” in diameter
