They say if you watch Rhaegals death scene in slow motion you can see Drogon drinking Rhaegals blood in mid air as he was dying. Drogon became two dragons in one. That's how he nuked a city too lol.

In fairness, she attacked from the sun at high altitude, making her difficult to see and by the time she finshed her dive, she was too fast to be targeted. Fast and low was provdn during ww2 by the Doolitle raids on tokyo and by curtis le may in Europe.

I can totally see a plot line in the books where Dany finally does come to Westeros, realizes that her "training" in Essos, as useful as it was, delayed her too long, and her ship as the ruler of her homeland has sailed. And then, after failing to earn any allies, after losing some of her people/dragons in a futile effort to reclaim her kingdom, she burns a city out of rage and commits to the path of blood to get what she wants. I can see that happening, and I would be okay with that. What we got in the show was ridiculous and enraging.

tbh i would have it be the same basic story structure, except for Rhaegal's death. Rhaegal is shot down during the attack on KL, and when Daenerys hears the people of the city cheering her son's death, she chooses that moment to utterly snap. There is no surrender by the city beforehand. in fact when Dany snaps, Cersei's just gained an upper hand.
I doubt Bran sent the horse, that'd be too useful.

@@ryanthomas3361 But Daenerys DIDN'T learn to rule. About the only worthwhile decisions she made was appointing the capable advisers that basically fell into her lap. They constantly have to convince her not to make terrible decisions (how many times have they had to stop her from going nuts with her dragons?) and when she finally has to fend for herself (because she only has Tyrion left and she doesn't trust him) she immediately goes nuts with her dragons. She STILL doesn't have any real experience with politics or diplomacy - her tendency in both is to just demand whatever she wants and threaten people with her dragons if she doesn't immediately get it.
At least Alt Shift X was consistently great through 8 seasons.

The golden company was meant as a counter to Danys army. They were always going to be irrelevant vs dragons. They bet on the ballistas being able to take out the dragon and then having to only deal with the army.
It was always made clear that armies are no match for dragons. They are conventional units vs nukes.

Well, that certainly held up...Dragons beating scorpions is fine, scorpions beating dragons is also fine. But scorpions beating dragons when the plot demands, and dragons beating scorpions in the same vein, is definitely NOT fine.

my thought has always been that the three-eyed ravens' job was to oversee Westeros and protect it from powerful evil forces, not to intervene with the politics of kings and queens. To be honest I don't think there is any reason for bran to help the Starks or Daenerys with conquering the iron throne because of his duty as a protector of Westeros (memories?) is far more important in the long run. I do see why people are a bit disappointed though, all that stuff with the children of the forest and Benjen really made it seem like he was going to do something super cool. (sorry for bad English)
I'm not sure why I'm watching these videos.
Don't get me wrong, you're the best and highest quality GoT CZcamsr, but these episodes don't serve you justice.
All these episode are self explanatory, there's nothing in these episodes that I already couldn't understand.
And that's the problem.
Before there was so much depth in each episode, that even if I understood most of it, I still watched your videos because they're fun and I might miss something.
During S8E3,E4 and E5, all I have ever done is watch you talk about things that I know word for word already and I'm more eager to hear your criticism rather than your explanation..
I personally like explanation over criticism. Why? Because an explanations will let you decide your opinion while criticism will only brain wash your thoughts and follow along. Not all the episodes are self explanatory, there's a lot of things happening and you can easily miss details, which a recap can fix.

Its easy to notice that the writers stopped doing these little hidden meaning easter eggs because almost ALL of the less important storylines were deleted and never heard off again.
What's the point of looking for clues in a season that never had any intention of planting any clues.
Only real deep dive here is the Northmen having the tradition of dying in battle before winter, and them potentially going hog wild because they hadn't planned on going back home. Something I'd never give D&D credit for giving a shout out to.

@Sam Papp Let's be honest, they would've found a way - no chance the night king would amass such a huge army without knowing how he would get past the wall. There's always that "legendary" horn that can bring it down. It's only mentioned in the books but maybe it's out there somewhere in the show as well

Out of all these unfortunate plot choices, the Scorpion thing bothers me the most.
Not a plot hole. The scorpions turn way too slowly. Danny realized she could destroy them by attacking them from the rear or side. It's a simple strategy. One often used by anyone who has ever played a video game.
That's such a decisive call to make. I don't even know how to rank my disappointments. There are just so many.
Or how about when they were all standing in front of King's Landing, dragon chilling in the background, with alllll those manned scorpions and loaded crossbows before Missandei got rekt? They could have taken out Drogon, Daenerys, and Jon Snow in seconds lol

But for me it was Snow falling in a frozen lake then horse riding for miles all wet in minus 40, in real life you freeze like a fish stick in seconds...

Absolutely. I would've liked for two more episodes, one for the NK plot line before Winterfell and the other for the throne plot line. The extra NK episode could include a skirmish at Last Hearth, or another northern castle; an attempt to assassinate the Night King. It fails, some main characters die, and the NK is given some credence. Furthermore, something could be done with Bran; perhaps he goes back in time to try find a weakness. Anything to just which give him an actual role in the season. As for the throne plot line, another episode for set-up could ease in the transition from the darker Dany we see in S7 to the genocidal tyrant we saw in S8E5. Perhaps she tries to garner support from the commoners or the other houses, but they reject her; the commoners because she appears as a foreign dictator, the other houses because Varys got the message out.
It did work for D&D who have their Star Wars movies to write.
I wish people would stop falling back on that excuse. It being rushed isn't why GoT sucks now. More episodes, even more seasons, won't help if the fundamental problem isn't addressed - crap writers. I mean there's literally people online writing better alternate versions of episodes that achieve the same results - within the same time frame (i.e. one episode) - than what the show shows. There is no excuse, the writers just suck.

For the most part, he’s straight to the point and refers back to earlier seasons or books whenever the story is developing. I just want to see his take and what his ultimate opinion of everything is since I’m a bit irritated by how the season ended. Maybe his take will help me see things differently because I am not happy with season 8 lol. I think I need some closure😒

Everything this season feels rushed and from watching the Game Revealed videos, the writers don't seem to understand their characters. Fuck sakes they even said that Samwel looked up to his older brother, Dickon. But the entire reason that Sam went to the Wall was because Sam was the older brother. His father forced him to go to the wall so Dickon could be heir to the family name, not Samwel.

It's been more almost 2 weeks since Alt Shift X uploaded a video. This is the longest time I've seen between an episode and his review. I guess he's gotten hit hard like the rest of us guys lol...
In the books, the hound had a little sister and the mountain killed her. Yes, he hates his brother for burning his face but the fact that the mountain killed his innocent little sister is the main reason why he wants revenge. This is why it makes sense that the hound wants to protect Sansa and Arya. The show doesn't mention this at all and it's a shame as it would literally be two lines of dialogue.
I was wondering why he took such pains to protect the Stark girls.

The northerners have always done awful shit during war. Jaime and Brienne witness their war crimes during the war of the 5 kings. But i agree that for the show it has been way too many seasons to revisit that idea and it seems like it came out of nowhere. However, the northerners have never been the "good guys". but instead of committing unnecessary genocide, she charges and burns the Red Keep. This then leads to all the hidden wild fire stores being set off which burns the whole city (even tho she just attacked the keep), and now Dany has "reignited her fathers legacy".

To be fair there is a slight difference of "trying to poison and/or dethrone my queen" vs "saving my brother to try and get my enemy to surrender and make my queen look really peaceful and awesome". Now its still betrayal, but certainly not of the same caliber
Varis wanted to kill Dany. Tyrion was not willing to let that happen.
And Tyrion didn't betray Dany by sending Jamie to remove Cersei from the throne by fleeing to Essos.
Jamie is utterly irrelevant to the coming battle. But if he flees the city with Cersei then the city will surrender quickly and Dany gets to be queen without much slaughter. He was doing his job efficiently making her queen and protecting her subjects from needless death.
He didn't know that she switched strategies to fear instead of love and adoration. She didn't bother to tell him the new plan. He would anyway just have tried to talk her out of it - just as he tried for 2 seasons already. Danys plan is always "let's drop the nukes" and his answer is always "let's try less drastic options first"..

Best part of the episode was the revelation that Gregor was actually not a mindless zombie and had been acting completely under his own free will this entire time. Kind of makes his character more terrifying.
Quick correction here, Dany hasn't been learning to rule for 7 seasons, she's mostly been conquering. She was lost and unhappy during her brief period trying to rule Mareen and basically only succeeded in reopening the fighting pits. She started getting her groove back once the Dothraki reminded her that she likes fire and blood. I don't think Varys was wrong to turn against Dany at all, it's just that it (like most things this season) happened way too quickly so we didn't get to see the build up to it. It was way too fast.
It's strange but the thing that annoys me the most about this episode is that we specifically see Varys writing letters revealing Jon's parentage and then that NEVER ends up being a plot thread for the rest of the series. No one at the council meeting mentions his name, no one argues that they should or should not have him as leader because of said name--it's just never mentioned ever again and by extension kind of makes Varys' death feel pointless. He died for paper that had no discernable affect on anything.
You're unnecessarily splitting hairs and, not even correctly doing so. She HAS been learning LESSONS that are valuable to a LEADER since the very FIRST season. Everything she saw her brother do, the trek through the wastes, Qarth and learning about back stabbing and self serving politicians, and on and on etc. She was not "just conquering" and if you can not see that, then you sadly do not read subtext well, this is known.
