East of Sweden: Crossing the ferries path! [11]

- Boy was I nervous. Those ferries are huge, and travel at great speeds (one passed me at 18 knots). I needed just 100 metres to cross the channel and get out of their way. A wind would come up later, and worse weather was expected. I was running out of food, so I wanted to get across, where more sheltered water, and the Väddö canal was waiting.
It worked! The wind was building but more reefs in my sail meant I had nice control of the boat. There were a few backup plans. I got my restaurant, pizza, coffee, and could even do much shopping. A nice harbour with a good camp spot, good weather, and great meal awaited in the harbour. Perfect day part 2!

Thanks!
Gräddö has good facilities, I have used their launch place once.
Yes it was a great place to stop, nice facilities indeed
You did well trying Kalles, it tastes better with a rich layer of butter and a glas of milk to go with it, mostly for kids.😅
Haha, it was just horrible, did you eat it as a kid?
@@Canoesailor Yes I did and sometimes still, when I want to rewind to old times.
@@sailoutofagarage6212 ah you got used to it 😁😁
