One of the biggest change for me: Rhaenys Targaryen, daughter of Jocelyn Baratheon and Aemon Targaryen has silver hair, not black hair like the books. As we know, baratheon black hair passing down the line is a huge plot point in a game of thrones.

What I like about 'A Song of Fire and Blood,' is how it's written. George R. R. Martin wrote 'Fire and Blood' like a memoir story, while 'Ice and Fire' was written as a complete novel.
Meaning that the events of 'Ice and Fire' were meant to be 100% canon events, while 'Fire and Blood' was written in a third party perspective. Think of it like a Maester writing down the events of the Dance of The Dragons and everything leading up to it, the aftermath and overall results. The story was meant to be retold from someone that knows of the events, but dont know the exact details of the events.
This is *perfect* for a novel to screen adaptation, as you can stick closely to the original story, but make minute changes where the directors or screenwriters see fit, well, if it adds to the story I mean.

This one should be a bit easier to adapt. With Fire and Blood being presented as a history book that already gives us 3 different versions of events that might not even be true, to choose from. That will give them more freedom to flesh it out without messing with the canon too much. We don't know how anything actually happened, so far it looks like Mushrooms versions are going to be how things played out.

Things wrong with season eight: Bad camera-work during battle sequences. The Long Night was hard to sit through, considering it was too dark to properly watch. The characters had plot-armor to the max extent. Samwell literally getting pushed against a wall by a dozen or so wights yet he survives? 2. The writing took a fat nose dive. GoT used to be synonymous with well-written and deep dialogue that sounded eloquent yet gruff at the same time. The best scenes in early GoT were often just two well-written characters talking to each other for an extended period of time. In season eight the writing turned to shit; it was lazy and cheap, and the insane amount of cock jokes were just not funny and showed that lack of writing prowess early GoT had. 3. Character arcs were completely annihilated. Let's start with Jon Snow; the entire runtime of the show his story revolves around the Night King yet when the time comes he barely does anything. He doesn't even have a fight with the Night King, let alone being the one to strike him down. Arya's involvement was completely out of the blue for the sake of it; it had no payoff nor was it a form of ''fan-service''. Second, Daenerys. Her going mad is in and of itself good, its a story I can get behind BUT the sudden switch is completely retarded. It should've been a slow process. But the worst of all? Jaime Fookin' Lannister. We, throughout the show, get to see the real Jaime who reuined his own reputation to save the citizens of King's Landing, yet in season 8 he suddenly decides he never cared about the innocents? That legimitately counters his entire arc which started during his capture at the hands of Robb Stark.
If you seriously think season 8 is in any way worthy of calling itself Game of Thrones then you don't deserve to call yourself a fan. It's arguably a shitty season to close off one of the best shows ever made.
