    doesn't the flex in the floor cause the epoxy to crack?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  Před 4 měsíci

      We recommend reinforcing the seams with fiber tape and applying our patcher paste over the tape. Then, flood the floor at 45 ft per gallon before doing your finish coats. This will reinforce the substrate, but it's always good to ensure it is solid before coating over. Here is a link to this process- czcams.com/video/C3-NuJf1dH8/video.htmlsi=B6Mn8yjRMOVFHVDM

      @@israfil1534 Hi! No I decided to hold off as I am going to sell my home in next few years. Most people don't appreciate art. They seem to want carpet and basic soulless bland decorating.
      Your video caught my eye because in 1990 I lived in the projects.
      The only place I could afford ($236/month) had basically decades-old peel-off tile. The duplexes were actually used circa 1950s as a former Air Force Base for housing privates and the married enlisted.
      So it was in very bad shape but I was allowed to do absolutely whatever I wanted to fix it up.
      I painted the floors a funky fuchsia and then sealed w a clear top coat of laquer. It was ....to this date.....my most favorite place I have lived.
      Your video reminded me of a very happy time in my life where I was super creative. ❤️

      Please note... Even though it's been 2 months since I watched this video...
      I have been waiting for my Title on an old 1985 Class A RV... it has wooden subfloors.
      I really want to do this method...
      You need to know, that I watched 3 of your videos in order about applying your beautiful epoxy.
      The fist video I watched was "Metallic Epoxy Coating/ over a wood sub floor tutorial ...
      Please NOTE: I love all of your videos but this one was the WORSE video you have... It did NOT look like
      Marble at all... the guys did NOT "Feather" out the lines, and it looked like stone, on a patio... (Please take this video down)
      (It hurst your reputation... Leggari is super professional... this Video is NOT. If I had only watched this video... I would not think
      to buy from you, feeling I'd end up making my floors look like stone pavement, instead of marble...
      Thank goodness I found these other 2 videos...
      The 2nd video I watched: Luxury Epoxy Flooring over wooden subfloor... It was GREAT... I don't expect anything less...
      The 3rd video was this one that I'm watching now... Which in my opinion is the very BEST...
      I have "Flipped" over 25 Houses or RVs in the last 20 years... I have never used epoxy on a floor... This is new to me, but I love it. I am 64 years old, and this last 1985 Class A RV will probably be my last... (I say that every time... LOL)... I want it to look Spectacular. It is in such bad shape (Very Old, and UGLY) that everyone around me thinks I"m crazy to even touch it.
      All I see is a Blank Canvas....
      My question is this... Can I do this application in an RV? It needs to be flexible, I would think...
      Thank you for taking the time to read this... and sharing your great videos...

      The wood floors creak because they weren't glued down before they were screwed down. Or possibly the glue is so old it's not working anymore. Find the screws and lift up the boards and put down heavy amounts of glue. It's in big tubes and you use a caulking gun. It will cost like twenty dollars for a small room and then put the subfloor back down and reapply the screws. Then put your flooring back down.
      It will take time but so worth it.

    • @inventorcreator7267
      @inventorcreator7267 Před 4 lety +3

      I haven't yet, but I would guess you would have to lay another subfloor perpendicular to the first subfloor and no overlaying seems. With more screws than normal. Goal is to stop as much movement as you can even though the wood wants to move underneath. Then use a good bonding primer then base coat of paint.
      I've laid a lot of tile floors and used lots of hardi and cement board. and the principal applies there for movement and no cracks (minus the bonding primers).

      Typically the cost per sq ft for flooring including shipping and a top coat comes out to $2.25-2.75 per ft. For domestic US customers. A countertop kit will cover up to 50 sq ft of countertops and costs $432 including shipping for people within the U.S. Below is a link to order a sample kit. Thanks
