      Ive lived in multiple states and its a whole different animal down here. There’s a reason Florida has the most expensive car insurance in the country

    About Adding more highways. What people don’t sometimes realize is adding highways doesn’t always work. The first few weeks or months that more lanes are added to the highway the traffic congestion is lessened, but when other people hear about it that didn’t drive the congested highway start driving it, and then it becomes congested again. Or another factor is simply more people move to the city and it’s still becomes congested again or both.
    One of the best ways to lessen congestion is to add good public transportation, such as light rail, or a good bus system, where the buses have their own lane, instead of get stuck in the same traffic as cars, or even a protected by bikeway where it is feasible. And make some sidewalks more walkable to areas not too far away such as to grocery to buy a few small items.

      That 💯 A light rail system or a train that goes all over the metro area would change alot

    People move slower here mainly because of the heat, it drains you.

      Before air conditioning nobody fucking lived here. It's not like you can't not have ac either. Your house will grow mold. You will be hot and very uncomfortable year round and sweaty as fuck all day long. I've never ever fucking seen so many sweaty ass people that fucking stink year round. It pisses me off hardcore.

    I don’t think customer service down here is so bad. People are rude because a lot of them come from New York.

    The one thing that puts me off from moving to Florida the most are the bugs.. I hate them.. especially those Palmetto bugs..but I do wonder if someone lives in a high-rise if that is still a problem? Better construction, higher up, especially if you are further from the water.. thoughts?

    • @livingsoflo

      I had a problem with Palmetto bugs a few years ago and I was on the 2nd floor but on a marina. Haven't really seen many at all in the last 2 years or so

      @@livingsoflo yeah, but if I am more downtown, on the 4th or 5 plus floor, I would think its not a problem.. I'm really afraid of them haha... one reason I won't go to Florida.. I had a rental in Melbourne beach and I was on the second floor and one was walking on the counter...

      Bugs usually don’t want to go above tree-top level so make sure you’re ‘above’ that height and you shouldn’t see any.

    I was born and lived in South FL 45 years. Glad we moved to NC four years ago. Too hot, too crowded and too much crime imho. It is crowded all year, forget seasonal. That went away years ago. I never noticed a slower lifestyle. They move fast there. The natives can't drive either.

    • @livingsoflo
      @livingsoflo  Před 8 měsíci

      Hey Tiffany, it can be seen as a slower lifestyle if you're used to the NYC lifestyle, otherwise yes it's still pretty fast paced. I do notice a difference between the summer months and the winter months here. Maybe it just has to do with me being in the real estate industry but I definitely do notice a difference in the amount of cars on the road/traffic and overall just the amount of people in the winter compared to the summer. Thanks for watching!

    My main reasons for moving down there is the no-state income tax and warm climate.. plus I was hoping there would be a lot of hot women, but I'm guessing not the brightest ones are there, and they probably are very very picky..
