So yes - the guy is the king and that’s his palace. The woman on top in a balcony is his wife. The girl dancing is a princess from other kingdom and is singing about her love and she is in love with the king. She comes to his kingdom to declare her love to him but she is disgraced and that’s why she dances for the king even if it’s humiliating (in historic times, people who dance for the king are only there to please people and don’t get much status in the society so for a princess to do this is a disgrace but she loves him alot and thats why she would do anything to see him even if people call her or their love names). Its a great love story. You guys would love it if you like cinematography coz its very well directed.
Fact: The girl dancing (Deepika Padukone) and the King (Ranveer Singh) are both great actors and you would see their duo in a few movies and they got married recently as well.
And to answer the question - I get worried / nervous for my close ones.

When he went to war that is when they met and fell in love,so Mastani is here in his kingdom to tell him how much she loves him and won't go anywhere. It's a true story so I suggest you watch the movie and also read up on it. His true love was Mastani.
TO correct Peshawa was an army head or general and The Chhatrapati was The King. She is not just to express her love. It's claimed that they are married. but his family being orthodox doesn't accept the marriage. His mother places her as a concubine and asks her to perform in front of His court which was against her grace. He had no idea about it until he sees her here. She gracefully accepts this insult here... While His wife observes the tension between the two characters helplessly.

There was a festival named Padwa on which she came from a far far long way just to propose the king in front of everyone knowing that he is already married. And she is proposing the king in this song.

Hello...i liked ur reaction. You guys can also react to the ghoomar song from the movie Padmaavat. The costume of the actress was about 30 kgs as it contained pure golden threads and also her traditional indian jewelleries were about 20 kgs as they were of pure gold, silver, emeralds, ruby, diamonds, pearls and other precious stones. They used everything real for the movie so as to get that 13th century indian era vibe. The shooting of the song took about 42 days as this form of dance was not easy for the actress and also her costume + her jewelleries, meaning a total of about 50 kgs on her body. I hope you vuys consider my comment.
