Oh one thing. The actress didn't sing the song. In India other singers sing the song which is played and the actress lip syncs(mostly). The singers are called Playback Singers. However these days many actors and actresses sing too.

A little detail here-
She is actually a princess from another kingdom but when she comes to Bajiro's kingdom she got mistaken as a dancer. But she didn't complain and rather does what she is told to do so. Through her song, she is asking, Bajiro to see her love for him.
(It's according to the movie)

It's also a pretty good visual feast.
There are a lot of interesting fact about the making of the movie and the song.
Among them, there is one that the pearl used the mv of 'Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya' were real and expensive. When the producer asked can't we use fake pearl. Then the director replied 'the sound of fake pearl is not good as real one'.
Also, the Sheesh Mahal(Glass place) in which the whole mv is shot took 2 years to build and the glass was imported from Belgium.
