You should try to chronograph the 25acp again because 1,500 fps can not be right. Remingtons website has that 50 grain bullet at 760fps muzzle velocity. All the speed test I’ve seen the .22lr is about 400 fps faster then the 25 at 1,100 fps.

Remington .25 ACP ammo velocity is usually between 700 and 800 fps out of a short barreled handgun. You may be too close to the chronograph when firing through it. That can give false velocity readings.
This is a interesting video and a very interesting comparison. I do not think your chronograph is reading properly on that 25 APC because there's no way that 25 ACP is cranking out 1400-1500 FPS. That 25 ACP should be putting out about 7-800 FPS.
I’ve got that same wasn’t .25acp. While it’s called or considered a mouse gun, for me it was my leather vest pocket gun from when I worked at a gas station. lol
I feel your pain I broke my sternum and my back in two places by falling out of my tree stand at 17 feet in 2019 and it broke on me it was a self climbing stand but great video that sucker shoots great..
I have a new. interest. in theses little pocket pistols. I think your chronograph is having a bad day for sure. I bet you spend a small fortune on the stainless for this test. I am a tight wad I would use sheet rock haha great video

Hey that was a cool comparison. Get you an Airforce condor SS in .25. turn the adjustable power wheel up to ten. Put a Jsb diabolo 33.95 grain pellet and I almost guarantee that it will blow through at least one or two of those stainless plates. I blew a couple holes into a 55 gallon drum burn barrel. The Airforce Condor and Condor SS are no joke and if you think that's powerful. The Airforce Texan and Texan SS comes chambered from thirty to fifty caliber. Believe me they hit whatever your hunting like a loaded Mack dump truck goin down a hill.

I'm wondering if those stainless steel plates were interferring with the chrono some way. I've had mine not read on a cloudy/low light day, so them bright plates lined up might have been little rascals 😂

My origin 25 did 866 on 44grain and 10xx on jsb 3x grains. That pup has a lot more in it for pen testing :) origin is the Avenger without reg. Have a video in my videos
Just for giggles. If you still have one of those 10 pump powerline or crossman pellet slingers from the ‘80s…run one through the chrono please compares to the 25 pcp. I doubt we would have been playing gi joe with pyramid airs back in the day
Chrono error. 25ACP is normally in the 650-900 range from the Beretta sized barrel depending on ammo. With Remington 50 gr normally 700fps. Buffalo Bore makes a 60gr hard cast 851 fps in a Beretta 21A and a 50gr FMJ 889fps in a Beretta 21A
Caldwell should give you their new chronograph to test. I was guessing the air rifle would go thru one. I know a guy that sucker punched a Harley rider, first mistake. Second mistake was trying to shoot thru the Leather Harley jacket with a Jennings 25acp while the Harley guy had him on the ground pounding him. Guy shot 3 times before the gun jammed and never broke the skin. Shooter went to the hospital Harley rider rode off.
WTW I had an Astra Firecat in 25acp and it was AWESOME. A friend of mine was killed by his "girlfriend" with a 25acp and in the local news was an account of a fellow who shot his way out of jail with a 25acp killing a deputy. A 25acp is nothing to thumb ones nose at.
I could have told you that 25 acp wouldn't make it through any. Years ago I shot a milk jug full of water with my dad's pistol from 5 yards, and it bounced off of it 😂😂😂😂
TBH if you're Asian like me anything above 22 is unheard But in America there are myriads of caliber the bigger one can rival or surpass service pistol
I have the same model in .25. It's a hammer to 75 yds and I'll take 1 1/2 groups at that distance, about what I get with a 10/22. Looking to try slugs soon. (std pellets are ~25g)
Before watching the video I think the lead with crush and not go very far. Looks like the ACP is jacketed it should go much farther just because of this.

Idk maybe 2 panels for the 25acp. It's was going pretty fast though. As for the air gun one panel less than whatever the 25acp does.

They used to say in the sixties to not use .25acp because you might hit your target make it very angry, and get your ass kicked.
