    Very interesting story, thanks for sharing. I am considering getting a similar device for my SSD in a few years time (probably when my hearing deteriorates even more). After getting the Baja have you noticed any improvement in being able to identify where a sound is coming from? I can often hear something with my good ear but can't work out which direction the noise is coming from. I'd love to get that back.

      Hi Jennie, yes it does help a lot with that. I can now hear noises on my left side again. The thing with BAHA is that everything takes time. You might not be impressed with the sound quality at first but after wearing it you will get more adjusted to it to the point that when you take it off you can really tell how much it was helping. I know from experience that relying on one ear is hard because the one good ear can get overwhelmed with sounds. I hope this helps. Good luck! - Dave
