    Does the LC2i provide more power for the front and rear speakers the way you have it hooked up in this video? In this video you have just a subwoofer hooked up, but you tapped into the front and rear speakers behind the radio? It seems like you should’ve tapped into the subwoofer output. Can you also tap into the rear right and left speaker door factory wires to the LC2i, And then power your subwoofer? Also, by adding a amplifier to the LC2i from the front and rear speakers and then by adding an amp, you’re increasing the power to the front and rear speakers?

Then intall a switch somewhere and remember to turn the switch of when its not running because it will drain your battery.

    On a 2021 jetta I have an lc7i with front and rear speakers tapped to keep the fader functional. Unfortunately one set of speakers that were tapped don’t appear to be getting the full signal and it sounds almost muffled or lacking. I just kept one signal on and disabled the fader on the kicker amp. I checked all channels of the amp and of the lc7i. The issue was recreated when swapping the speaker wire taps into the lc7i.

    • @wesleymiller3467
      @wesleymiller3467 Před měsícem

      No, there’s a harness already ran from the radio to the subwoofer, you just have to look at the wiring diagram to figure what is what and go from there, but if you’re using an amp set up you still have to run power wire from the battery and ground it somewhere. It helps with bass rolloff, and if you have a factory amplified sound system (like the fender audio), it can take a higher power amplified signal input than most line out converters. If you don't have a factory amp, and don't care for any signal correction, any line out converter can do.

    Im an amateur audiophile and I work at a VW dealership and I love our cars but both the base 4 speaker and Beats upgraded system are horrible, honestly. I honestly feel like they just deleted tweeters from a 6 speaker setup because it sounds like the tweeter range is just MIA. Treble all the way up and it still sounds muffled.

      Factory radio tapers off the bass at higher volumes to protect the factory (cheaper) speakers from distorting. So when you install an amplifier and subwoofer, this is why at a certain point the bass doesn't seem to increase as you turn up the volume

      @rxtuninginc8444 Před 3 lety +1

      I tap into the rear speakers in the rear of the car when there is no factory amp. It doesn't matter if there's no factory amp if you're on one end of the wire or the other. On this particular car with that ridiculous dash removal process, the time it takes and the risk of breaking any of those stupid clips its not worth it. Tap into speakers in rear of car and much less work.
      On cars with a factory amp is a different story, in that case you want to hook directly behind the radio so that you are grabbing signal BEFORE it passes into the factory amp. On base models I avoid this headache all the time.

    • @rxtuninginc8444
      @rxtuninginc8444 Před 3 lety +1

      Especially when the rear speakers are on the parcel shelf right below the rear window. Gives a good place to mount the LOC and nice, neat short wires. Also using wire T Taps are the easiest and fastest way without disturbing the factory wire much at all. It's also easily removable later. I never strip back the wire, make a hole in middle (risking breaking some strands) and wrap it around. I can get all 4 wire T Taps on in 30 seconds flat.
