  • Okay, I've removed the 666 Hp blown LS3 and trans from my parts car. Next up, she gets grafted into the 1967 Nova. Stay tuned!

    Great video. Tell us about why you chose your Launch lift for your awsome garage?

      So, below are links to the lift and the video of just it alone. In a nut shell: ALI certified / Launch is known for great fabrication / low price / triple telescoping arms / single side lock release / direct drive cylinders / double telescopic lifting feet / padded overhead shutoff instead of pull cable / arm restraint locking system that's better than what you find on the cheaper lifts.

    Quick question I have a 2010 Chevy engine v6 unfortunately it reached 400k miles and it’s time to change it I have found a 2022 Chevy Camaro engine v6 with wire harness would it work. And what troubles will I run into.

      There likely is, but I'm unaware of one I can point you to. I just shot a gillion photos of everything before I tore it apart.

    I don’t see the benefit in dropping it off the bottom it just seems like extra work you still have to take it off the sub frame could someone please explain I mean it’s awesome that you have a lift and everything

    Is that a factory body kit?

    I’m about to pull my engine out and I just can’t decide if I should try to attempt pulling it out of the bottom it doesn’t make sense to me that you have to disconnect the shock towers then you’re going to have to lift it off of the sub frame and put it on some kind of stand it just seems like you have the extra work of taking out the Steering and suspension looks like you still had to disconnect everything that you normally would

      If I didn't have a car lift I'd definitely pull it out through the top.

      @@RedlineStands Thank you for your response I’ve seen guys pulling it out the bottom even without a car lift just seems easier to pull it up the top and then put it on the stand before you even set it down

    So will the stock trans from a v6 out a 2015 mate up with a gen 3 ls engine

    • @isnowyazn
      @isnowyazn Před měsícem +1

      Definitely not…. They’re all completely different assemblies, and neither the automatic nor manual V6 transmissions will pair up to any of the V8 engines (L99, LS3). The 6L50 (auto V6) is different from the 6L80, even though they’re both in-house GM… And needless to say, the Aisin AY6 (manual V6) is totally different from the Tremex TR-6060.
      However, if you are looking to upgrade the rear (end) cradle, that gives you the opportunity to run the axles, rear diff, etc. from the V8 models. Depending on what you prefer/want, you can either take the 3.27 final drive rear end from the L99, or the 3.45 rear end from the LS3. The 14-15 SS 1LE’s will have the 3.91 rear end, that will be the same kind of compatible.
      I know for the SS’, you can take the rear end parts, or whole cradle assembly from the ZL1 or Z28. I’m not sure if the same is applicable from the ZL1 and Z28, over to the RS models though.

    Why not just come out the top??

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  Před 3 lety +2

      If you have a car lift it's just so easy to come out the bottom

      @@RedlineStands I'm going to use a chain hoist. Wish I had a lift though.
