Tamariz is a master, one of the best and most influent card magician of all time. He is a living legend here in Spain, their ideas and way to understand magic have influenced to all the great magicians of my country. A truly master and a very funny man too.
With Tamariz the thing is... he is way better when he performs in spanish. He speaks usually very very fast and in an energetic and funny way. When he speaks in english... he clearly underperforms a little bit, imho.
Exactly. He looses some then he performs in english, and he is a little old in this video. You must see him a few years ago AND in spanish to fully see his mastery and the way he manages the audience. Dany Da Ortiz learnt a lot from him.
Not really, there are videos of him performing in the 80s in english and he is the same than in spanish. It is the age for the most i think. He simply lacks the energy he had 40 years ago but he is still a freaking master.
However his Spanish accent is very funny.
No under performing here:

⬆️ That’s why he’s the maestro
@@KinnereyB Thats a great one.
that open triumph was 10/10
Loggan agreed!
Dani daortiz’s
Juan Tamariz is awesome, but a lot of the performances that I consider great are in Spanish, pero si le entiendes es muy divertido. Great video man!
Saw Juan Tamariz on the TV a lot of times when I was a kid, dude is incredibly entertaining in his native language
appreciate your humility and student mindset with all these videos man. good luck!
Love your vids broo!!! Keep up the good work
Juan Tamariz is great, man! make sure you watch more of him...
Nice performance of open triumph! By the way, Juan Tamariz is the best magician alive since Dai Vernon!
apostolos Papadopoulos marlo was better 😉
Jackson deShazo 😱😱
Joseph Walker is it not true?
Jackson deShazo hmmm well I never met either of them and I wasn't really alive at their time but I think no it's not true. Vernon was probably the better magician. As a cardician perhaps it is true Marlo was superior, his skill with cards was prodigious, but there's more to magic than sleight of hand. They were both legends tho. Btw can you recommend a good triumph to learn?
Joseph Walker Marlo's triumph using the spade shuffle
Follow the leader by Juan Tamariz is a great performance to watch
Wowsie...That was a great trick and routine. And awesome video too Eduard todor
Tamariz does not get influenced, he is the one that influence. more respect to the card magic GOAT please
U deserve a million subs I love ur channel
Juan Tamariz is a cool and funny spanish magician😊😊
You picked the simplest Tamariz video possible to react to. Any magician can figure this one out. The one you should react to is a 2 parter at magic-con 2010 (I believe). The man borrows decks (plural) and blows away 100+ magicians watching. That, his FISM act from 1973 (in Spanish), and for a short video - “the 3 of clubs.” The latter is the coolest color change I’ve ever seen. If it’s not a gimmick, you could watch at 1/1000th speed and it still looks like real magic.
Great opening trick. A blinding triumph interpretation. Nice and clean and it completely fooled me but I am only four years old.
Best reaction videos bro 👌. Awesome
How do u you do the trick at the beginning, i wanna learn, can anyone leave me a link to a english tutorial
ive seen this in italy street magic like 20 years ago those are old school i love it :)
Hi Ed,
first time commenting! :D
Just a quick note to say that I really like your reaction videos, we often have the same reactions which is bizarre :D
I liked your opening trick, as an amateur I have an idea of how you did it, but any normal person would be completely floored. Great job!
See ya!
-MIke
its easy to see what hes doing in the video because you have the luxury of controlling the pace by rewinding or slowing it down. In the moment however he has all the control and this is where magic is supposed to be performed
That intro trick you did... Got any leads on where I can learn it?
In which book or dvd can we find that opening triumh? Thank you
I loved the intro nice job👍👍
Wow nice performance man took me 10 replays to get it
yep, after rewatching it can see how its done. very nice
so dissapointed you didn't knew juan tamariz properly
That's Cool. Using pressure fan for open Triumph. Nice Video.
Tamariz is a great magician comedian, a very skill anf funny guy
awesome open triumph bro!!!
WTF.....you fooled me that i cant sleep the whole night because i want to figure it out.....but i cant ..... really mind blowing.....really good Job.....you are still my number 1 !!!!!!!!
Haha thanks bro
Nice videos man, I just subscribe, keep It up. And btw, you wonder at minute 7:11 he said in spanish: "I said 'partner' so you can see I'm good" (As a reference of his "high level" of english) When he makes a show in spanish is not that boring tbh, but Juan trying to speak english makes him boring maybe. Great magician, one of the best of my country imo, greetings from Spain!
I think Dai Vernon used to perform a three card Monte with the bending in one corner. But it was a completely different routine. I have to check that.
That open Triumph was awesome, man! Is that Kostya Kimalat's method? (I apologize in advance, I think I misspelled his name)
Thanks man. Haha nah no way, it's Dani DaOrtiz's version. I'm not even close to performance level on Kostya's method
You can't appreciate what he does if he's not speaking spanish tho. Tamariz is hella funny on his original language.
Two things:
Great triumph and
I liked seeing your reaction to senor Tamariz :-)
You know I hate your intros. They're just way too good. I wish I could figure them out and do them on my friends but I can't ... Godamnit
Also wish I knew if you could do those tricks with any deck or sometimes it's special decks
+Airbag888 haha thank you. Any deck can be used, I generally dislike gimmicks
Never seen this trick before but I only saw the first drop, instead of dropping the middle card (ace) he drops the side card... I would never be able to do that smoothly as he does though, nice routine. No idea how he did that second trick though.
You remembered!
It is performed as an act, but it is an actual game that scammers do on the streets in Europe, especially Italy and Spain, but I've seen it in Germany and UK too, they will always have a "partner" that acts like a normal bystander, bets real money and wins, to encourage real bystanders to play. That's where the scam triggers, the card dealer will never lose. They even use the "bent corner" technique to make it look as fair as possible, but the video shows clearly how, when he's showing the bent corner to the audience, he's simultaneously bending the corner of one of the clip-cards. Then they proceed to deal the wrong card very quickly.
It's nice to see it as an act, not as nice when you actually get robbed blind on the streets 😂
bro did you react to Benjamin earl on fool us? if not consider that. He's a beast.
notification squad o/
Where can I learn the triumph routine?
Hmm, artofmagic should have it, it's called Open Triumph by Dani DaOrtiz
Eduard Todor thanks mate! Absolutely love the videos, keep em coming.
how to do the open triumph
Everyone knows that casinos have a very small margin of advantage but that small margin multiplied by the thousands of players keeps them in business. So if YOU can cut that small advantage your chances of winning increase exponentially. I am fascinated by cards and tricks and averages etc and live in NYC .. so a sunday walk through central park will have up at least 5, 3 card monte games going. One day I stopped to watch and I was blown away how the dealers could do what they did. Watching longer it was not that the dealer was winning but that YOU were losing ..... These guys had lightning hands. I realized that the BAIT is BLATANT , so clear you havethere SO clear YOUR card HAS to be a X position there. Nope it aint.
I do play chess and the best chess players seem to give the game away with a sacrifice and it just dawn on me.I never take the sacrifice. (unless is an obvious blunder) so I went up to the cardboard table and asked to play .."Sure .... ( that dealer was hungry) I said I was a noob and he said "Ok I will go SLOW........"
and he did .. and I figured the card was in the center . I also figured "THAT" cented card was the card he wanted me to take. He was GIVING ME $10.00 , no one is that stupid but a lotta people are greedy \ so to his surprise I chose a side card and put my hand on it. LET him keep his center card... ANd he lost , and of course he did not want to pay and I rather have a full working body than to fight over $10.00
So . the key to 3 card monte is NEVER bet on the card you think is the winning card . Let the guy go crazy . Over time the odds begin to go on your favor because of frustration of the dealer and his possy making fun of him.
I would not recommend this as a way to augmenting your income but it is a GREAT way to teach a bunch of people a lesson and make the dealer consider a different career.
The intro was open triumph by Dani Ortiz for anyone What was wondering. Hahaaha even copied nearly the same pater, good job dude! Performed quite well!
You don't get him yet. Read his books, and watch him on the website Magicana. They have a lot of clips from his Chan Tat Chan. I have seen him live in front of five hundred Magicians shoot to their feet giving him an amazing standing o. Also check out Pit Hartling from Germany.
Have you ever reacted to Asi Wind?
In fact, Tamariz is so so so much funnier than DaOrtiz, but in spanish, you could see that in the video Follow The Leader.
Nice triumph. Same technique as Asi Wind? Like in David Blaine's newest special?
Nope.
u should know more about juan, maybe see his show, and u will know why he is the best
Shoot Nice! Triumph!
In spanish is better, is more funny
its easy to see how he does it through the video but he performed it so well live
it was a good way to switch
I am sorry , but where is the open triumph?. In wich minute?.
0:00
@@EduardTodor Oh I see, you mean : the open triumph that you have just performed?. I think that they ask for Tamariz open triumph.
Thanx
Well the first trick is very easy.. you can see that he let the first card fall and not the one in the middle.. the banded card I can't tell.. but I think it's almost the same thing. Is it correct? What do you think? By the way good job with the videos I'm Italian and I love watching your reactions from Milan!
Angelo Siracusa don't say a trick is easy till you've tried it, my friend. Even if you know how it's done or you see how it's done, don't dismiss it as a bad trick.
Reverse Flash I didn't say it's a bad trick. I'm just admired by things I can't guess. I'm not a magician so if I pay to see a routine I want to be surprised! Although I think he has done it as an incredible routine. Ps: I'm not really into magic but I enjoy watching fool us and this reactions.
Is that double exposure by asi wind?
+Gt Magic no, open triumph by dani Daortiz
Eduard Todor you sure do love dani daortiz!
I got it from the beginning. Using two cards was essential. He couldn't do it with two sticks.
Hows dat triumph?
Hi Ed! Thanks for your constant entertaining React :)
Please react to Brendan Rodrigues if you don't mind.
The one with the title 'The Next Great Magician (TV) 2016'.
Thanks!
cool nicley done edward pal be safe in Christ
Would u go on fool us Mr tabor?
I know you know who he is but you should react to leanartt green if you haven't yet. Or Takumi takahashi who is one of his students.
Eso es el triunfo de Dani da Ortiz
not first😞😭😭. I was in school😠
dat triumph tho.....
The method was pretty transparent (right?), but I am sure it takes an awful lot of skill.
Reaction with a video of Pepe Carrol!!
is that a contact juggling ball?
it is!
You can't just answer with 'it is' dude, c'mon, do you do it or just interested and think its cool? (I've tried but stick to regular juggling)
I know that I've always wanted to try it, but never got around to it
Aye yo homie I sent you a email a week ago can you plz reply soon
E bun, foarte. Probabil unul dintre cei mai buni, insa.... modul de presentare e boring rau.. si engleza lui greu de inteles (nu stiu daca ti s-a parut la fel) ajuta mai mult ca sa para mai boring. Dar in general omul e un geniu.
have you ever heard about Rene Lavand?
he has only one hand due to an accident if i remember well and he is amazing....why don't you do a reaction to him?!
by the way i love your videos
Never heard of him, I'll check him out. Thank you :)
;-)
GRIT!
Hey, What about a reaction to derren brown acaan to Martin freeman and amanda Abbington?
Meh... the throws were slow enough to see half the time and the still half-bent ace was visible for a long time in his left hand after he surreptitiously bent and threw the other card. The concept is a good one but it seemed a rather poor performance to me. I only watched once and didn't know the trick beforehand.
Is that gimmick right? The open trick
Nope. Completely normal deck
Wait what!? 😂That is imposible, you need some prop i don't know, but that is not a completely normal deck, Dani said in a spanish vídeo "i cant do the open triumph with a borrow deck" 🤔
No, you definitely can do it lol. I think he was talking about a different aspect of the trick
I'm totally fooled. 😐💥
Ah and mad respect for taking your time to response🤙
please please please react to mathew bich on p&t fool us
I've already seen it :L
Bored that juan time 😋
I just subbed a few days ago, but I'm thinking of unsubbing because of this intro... Watched it 20 times and it's making me crazy.P&T "some cards are face up some cards are face down" and the magic happens. Here nothing happens at all cards are in the right way... WTF
+eyeles haha glad you enjoyed
What he is doing is so
obvious, I can't really understand how you didn't get how this trick works
Juan tamariz + Daortiz
Can 👂🏼 but not see
yourr perfomance wanst good enough i saw how you did it
Good for you
but overall you are a great magician 😃 keep it up i am watching y every day
Lol. Because you saw how he did it, it wasn't good enough? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
shuttt upppp.... is that camera magic or whaaat (insane)
Or react to Julius dein i really don't like him since he fakes reactions and crap like that but I wanna hear your opinion.
Get some' sleep
Hey keep up the great work!
Check out 'Takumi Takahashi on youtube "My idea for Triumph'
Eduard Juan is a funny he just dosent knows english so he cant make jokes
+Hi Hola Dani doesn't know English either but he's funny
Tamariz is of course technically incredible, one of the masters but I just can't get past the stumbling and mumbling, makes him so hard to watch. I only lasted around 25 minutes of his Penguin Live performance before frustration and boredom took over.
Hmm maybe that would explain my experience haha
In spanish and live he is unbelievable
I know Tamariz is a master, but I also think he's kinda boring to watch.
Kelvin Borges I saw him drop the bottom cards twice. Wasn't really great for me. 🙅🏾♂️🤔🙄😳
Loses a lot in English and although it is very good, he is already old
Umm personally that was horrible, I do magic so I have respect for this routine, but here's the deal anyone that does magic pick up on what he was doing, please more Penn&Taller.
You need to remember magic is for spectators, not magicians. Nowadays as magicians we want everything to be commercial, to fool us, but really we overlook a lot of classics. This type of routine can really kill in real life.
Seth. You're an idiot.
Seth McAllister bad comment
Seth McAllister who's Taller? LMAO
Lol well put.
