    One of the better bar installs I've seen so far, you did a really good job breaking it down brother.

    I'm back. You all continue to amaze. Love the use of the pull chain!👍 The bars are outta sight and they have a beefy look! As the saying goes; Once you go black, you'll never go back! The grips really finish it off! Enjoy the ride and keep the rubber side down. Save the Wave🙋🏼‍♂️

      Peter Carey Most definitely Pete. The bars are insane. You’ll have to see them in person. The camera doesn’t do them justice. Save the wave Brother👍👍

    2015 RG has a larger plug that cannot be fished through the bars, I think it’s the same plug up to 2018. I know it’s 2015 because I did mine. One thing that’s recommended when you change to taller bars is to change the riser bushings.

    Thank you for the video man! A lot of good details and step-by-step instructions. I just bought a 2016 Road Glide, this will definitely help when I put my new bars on! 😎

    By the looks of it you didn't even need those extensions...how tight was the clutch and brake cables? And were those heated grips? Great video 🤙

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 4 lety

      Gerald Paul If you install 14 inch bars you def need the extensions if you want a neat job. The plugs are way too short. Thanks for watching.

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 4 lety

      The clutch and brake cables are a little tight, but there good once you cut the zip ties and pull on them some to get a little more length so you can mount them on your new bars. The Avon grips are not heated.

    Just got some factory 47’s 14 inch bars. I got 10 inch extensions but now my question is do you need to extend clutch cable and brake lines?

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey brother what you wanna do is follow the clutch and brake lines down and cut those zip ties on both sides that are holding them. Then you want to pull on them slightly to get the length you need for everything to come together.

    Question. Did you fish the right side wires and throttle cable wire together or separate? I’m having a hell of a time getting those in. Left side wires no problem at all.

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 3 lety

      I fished all wires separately. Starting with the right side throttle wire. Remember to move the wires back-and-forth a bit as you’re fishing your wires down the bars because sometimes it will get jammed up. But just take your time.

      CORVETTEBOYZ I reached out to Factory47 via email., plus sent them your video-no one knew what I was talking bout. I would love to have them bars- if you don’t mind, whom did you contact & how? I love to have these exact bars

      @@harleyd4280 Did you ever get the information you needed for the bars? Factory 47 makes great products. I myself didn't want the "meat hook" bars. I went with a set of 14 inch KST outlaw bars. They look identical to these bars.

    You didn't show the hard part throttle side wires through bars

    Did you have to unpin the connector terminals to pull them through the bars?

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 3 lety

      Hey Andrew no I didn’t for the Factory 47s. But if you did unpin the connectors it would make it alot easier.

  • @kidfaceful
    @kidfaceful Před 3 lety

    Did you use a 1/4 hex or 1/4 ratchet to take off the handle bars and is that a 17’

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 3 lety

      Hey Sergio I used a hex head socket with a ratchet.

    How would these look on a street glide ? Send me a picture

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 4 lety

      My bars are only for a Road Glide. You'll have to contact Factory 47 and they'll tell you which bars you need for your Street Glide. The bends are usually different for your bike.

    Honesty how long to change those bars

    • @corvetteboyz
      @corvetteboyz  Před 4 lety

      It took me a couple of hours. I had all of my parts and wire extensions already in hand. Just take your time when you do it and you'll be fine.
