I think the "grown man Jordans" are best exemplified by the AMM line. Many of my own purchases are along the lines of more neutral tones or muted colors, which may be the basis for what we're talking about. In other words, pairs that don't look like they were meant for sports or kids.
I'm currently at a place where super bright colors and heavily multi-colored kicks (in most cases) hit me like more of a kids sneaker. I typically avoid those kinds of kicks unless the colors are muted.
I think going for subtlety and letting the overall outfit work together well is more of a flex than just a hype pair of sneakers.

This is a great take! I'm on my grownish clean vibe lately. Got the desert elephants 3sthe washed blks, and these. And hopefully the palomino 1s when they drop. The fits I have for these crafts are killer

This colourway really reminds me of the Adidas Rivalry Low 86, which has been my go to sneaker this year. Really easy colourway to wear, and it already has that worn look to it, so you’re bang on the money when you say they still few new.
These were a must grab for me, perfect summer J. Glad resale didn't go anywhere high

For a all or predominantly white AJ1, I will go for the "Sail" colourway which was released back in 2017 or the 85 High "Neutral Grey".
I got these off of the leather quality alone. I also love Sail so it only made sense. Nike went cheap on the laces, really missed an opportunity to put some “pop” on these.

Wow, hard times when we are happy if a $200 shoe has good leather….
Every shoe at that price point should have the best leather.
Been saying that for while now. Jordan is selling us trash, if you're comparing it to like hiking boot companies and they're also selling in far smaller quantities. So there's no excuse for this.
Then i guess "hard times" has been going on for 20 years.

The leather on these is next level.

Loved the color way the swoosh is not weird in anyway the color goes well and the rope laces are new but the look of the sneaker over all is amazing.

I didn’t see thses in FootLocker stores here (New Orleans) either, i just happened to be on GOAT and they popped up. I like 'em. They look like a good summer/fall shoe, i might just get them.
I really dig this pair. That interesting material choice is unique and i thought it was chenille like the AJ 8….but i guess it isn’t. The implementation of it works though. Also agree about the spider verse pair….it’s “interesting” that there was a lack in follow through with the second pair….compared to the first. Especially since it’s a featured shoe in the movie. 🤷🏽♂️
