Children who are interested in being in a space that is made for adults and the neglectful parents who fully recognize how inappropriate it is yet still allow their child to be in those spaces and enable that behavior. Children have been inserting themselves into adult spaces for quite some time, but that doesn't mean I'm saying it's their fault. I'm simply saying it's been a recurring issue.

Yes! Me & my husband were discussing this exact thing last night. A big difference is I feel like Miley fans kind of grew up along side her, plus like you said it was more gradual meanwhile JoJo was just marketing to young kids not even months ago then overnight she decided to do this rebranding assuming her young fans are just going to suddenly quit following her? She's trying to go for the young adult demographic but there aren't any adult fans I know of who would unironically listen to her. The last thing it's a little more superficial & not to throw shade on someone's appearance but JoJo still has a baby face & she's looked the same for the last 10 years. Miley, Selena Gomez, & Ariana Grande on the other hand looked more grown up & carried themselves more maturely by the time they were in their 20s while JoJo still looks like a child so I especially can't take her seriously. Unfortunately she just makes me cringe every time she tries to be sexy if you can even call it that. I always forget it's supposed to be marketed to gay women but as a bi woman I don't like any of it, she's trying too hard & it's really hard to watch.
