I walked a completely different path, I knew from the beginning that what other people thought of me didnât matter so I didnât socialize much. It was very lonely though, it was very hard to find people like me, honest genuine people but I did find a few of them. I donât have many friends but they are all people who donât smoke, they have jobs and are productive members of society. I have nothing but nice things to say about them. Itâs so weird because when I hang out with my brother and his friends, all they do is gossip about each other I didnât know that gossiping was a normal thing that people do. Personally I hate it. I still donât get what you mean by getting taken seriously thatâs why I said growing a beard helps but you are right, people pleasing is not a good thing.
