- Today I am going to take you through who the Proctors were in The Walking Dead Universe, and the tragedy of their abandonment by Fears new showrunners.
I don't usually do skits like the one at the end, but I feel it properly conveys my frustrations. hope you all enjoyed!

I liked it lol. It was different, the video was informative and kudos to you for getting nearly 15 minutes out of some lore which has well ... Very little lore to work from while also keeping it entertaining.

Breakdown was great, the skit was even better 👌💯 definitely do again lol just not too common. (not that it was bad, but the exact opposite actually.) It's a fun little surprise (in a sense) that we could get every once in awhile.
This show would've been better than the main show if it Dave Erickson never left

The change between creative teams between S3 and S4 was the worse decision made in the shows history and it never recovered from that horrible mistake. They went from an amazing S3 to absolutely dogshit is S4.

That is just blind hating on your part. They proved they are capable of creating gold stories with S6 and great fresh enviroments with S7. The thing struggled with was the 16 episode format. They always had strong starts,middles and ends. They took the "episodes 1,7,8,9 and 16 are interesting and the rest is fillar" too much to heart in seasons 4,5,7 and 8. They would be Perfect for the spin off's 6 episodes format

Common trend throughout Fear's run. Creative hands keep changing every Season and nobody knows what direction to take. It's like each Season is a whole new show with how loosely connected they are with the rest of the series lmao

Fear The Walking dead lowkey ended after season 3 for me at least because they were all over the place after that😂 The Proctors had so much potential just to be wasted and thrown down the drain, literally in this chase lol but I loved the comic sense you put into this video and the end of the best😂

They absolutely could have been. They were well established pre apocalypse, and had a winder spread before they saviours were even formed.

@@marcadams6397 that was actually Erickson's plan for them. According to an interview they would've basically been around until the end since Madison was eventually supposed to kill Proctor John and inherit the organization for her own use. Madison would've started the apocalypse as a mom trying to protect her kids. and end as a ruthless, Machiavellian villain that's lost her family due to her own decisions.

Just started watching fear for the first time and the shift from season 3 to 4 seems so drastic and off putting
Leave now, it doesn't get better, it drags any enjoyment you had out of it.
@@eatonmahfeelins Parts of Season 6 are ok, but yeh it's pretty awful on the whole. Season 5 and 8 in particular, a couple of terrible writers.
Erickson DID NOT step down from the show! Gimple was put in charge of the on-screen universe and gave the boot to Erickson as soon as he could. He brought in Shameless & Goldberg to ruin the show, along with bringing over his favorite character Morgan. Think about what that means. Gimple literally killed the entire series under the guise of a "crossover". It ended up being a takeover because he wanted to see more of his favorite character. It's disgusting behavior and, paired with the Carl debacle, tells me he should never be forgiven. I loved Madison & Nick so much. We were robbed of four more seasons worth of great storytelling.
Gotta rub my head really fast like Shane. Dude these villains would have been so awesome in FTWD it’s just sad they got rid of them and the show runner didn’t even watch the show. Tbh FTWD season 1-3 were great but watching the rest were just bad. Great job to on the video
The Proctors were my favorite villain group in FTWD despite the fact that they were only in a few episodes. That's how good Erickson's writing was.
Why didn’t they bring back the proctors in season 8 instead of Troy?

Maybe I’m wrong, but if you’re taking the reins from someone, I feel like at the very least professional courtesy should be like “Hey, we should have a smooth transition. Here’s everything that’s happened and what it could potentially lead to” and you should at the very least listen. I hope AMC realize that’s probably why Fear dropped off. Such a drastic change they never really recovered
I think they could have gotten away with dropping them if there was a bit of dialogue in season 4 mentioning that John died and there was infighting that led to the destruction of the organization. Is it good? No but it at least gives a reason why they are gone.

I loved the whole established apocalyptic trading posts they had and how it was based in Mexico. Realistic they could survive for a long time knowing how mkat building are already reinforced there. Would have been cool to see some more negotiations and interactions with the cartel

I actually was loving fear more than the main show by season 3 and that's probably why Erickson had to go because Scott gimple could see that as well I'm sure 😀. It's a real shame we never got to see what Erickson's version of this show could have been. Goldberg and Chambliss are idiots but I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Gimple and his incompetence.

The only way this could ever be redeemed is if the original story of Fear TWD was retold in the comic/Telltale universe (being the same universe).
They could do so much more with it, on top of the fact that there were plenty of characters that either left, never returned, or died due to personal obligations, business obligations, creative conflict, and morals from the change in show runners (E.g., Travis could possibly have lived longer in the comic universe for all we know).
Hopefully Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman think about taking it this direction.

Wasn't the leader of the bike gang a cop in sons of anarchy as well will it be weird if he took the role of a biker gang after learning everything from the sons of anarchy after the apocalypse happened as like a new identity because no one knew his past that'd be a crazy twist 🤘🤔 also amazing content
I’m not sure of the timing but it’s close enough to suspect a possible conflict of interest between the same actors playing 2 characters in separate franchises with that many parallels.
These Walking Dead videos are truly great. Keep up the good work!
The guy who played John Proctor was also a villain on “Mayans MC” on FX. It was about a Mexican Biker gang on the border that traded in drugs ( And a Sons of Anarchy spinoff) that’s just a bit to parallel a story line and may have influenced the change of direction.
He was the main villain of season 4 of sons too.

Abandoning the Proctors was where the show turned to ass. Season 3 was so strong and having the Proctors as a Savior type equivalent would have been amazing for Season 4. Instead, we got long dragged out stories, jumping on crocodiles and a nuclear bomb that made no sense..

I was fine with Morgan joining Fear but the new showrunners just blew it along with the near-entirety of everything they were there for. It could've been fucking awesome.
Not really tbh. Not at first at least. 4A was really solid and I would say for what they were required to do (kill off Nick since he wanted off in S3 and introduce Morgan) they did a perfect job. The problem is 4B and 5A which I consider the low point (before S8 which I hate) of the show.

There are so many characters on fear the walking dead that seem to have vanished without explanation like tobias from season 1 i think alot of people who watched fear the walking dead didnt really care about certain characters and what happened to them

Honestly really happy this storyline was completely abandoned. No way to ruin them like they did Troy. For me personally Fear ended here and nothing after this is canon to Fear or the rest of the Walking Dead. I know those are fighting words but season 4 and beyond are completely unwatchable. Don't care if season 6 was okay, i don't watch tv for okay television.

As far as the damn, didn’t that other Mexican lady take over the water distribution after the proctors blew up… cuz she was starting to get a bit stingy with it herself it seemed like…. But I think we’re expected to assume the proctors blew up on the damn.. as far as the cohorts who weren’t there, again we assume they just started doing their own things , just kept living life as they pleased instead of how the masta told them too..
The should have focused more on the Proctors and less on fake death reunions.

I think that’s one of the most interesting aspect to them.
They are villains to our characters, but overall their trade route plans would actually help restart society eventually.
It was for their own benefit for power, but it did actually help the survivors near the border in the early days.
Such a shame we didn’t see this plot line play out, I could’ve see Madison and our fear crew overthrow John and take over the proctors
What is it with Ray McKinnon and motorcycle clubs?
This is such a depressing trend in the modern film industry. Massive creative projects are handed over to people who do not care and are not invested in the thing they are creating. It's hard to let the creative juices flow when you don't really care about something. That's become so evident in recent years, with more than just The Walking Dead. The Halo showrunners are proud to have never played the games and knew next to nothing about the story or lore. Why even take a project if you don't care about it? Why ruin it for the people who DO care?
In my opinion, this show was so much better than the original... It sucks so bad that they changed the writers.

I know seasons 1-3 weren’t the best but I really wanted the original writer to have more time to work out the story. lol Nick getting Troy wasted in season 3 was hilarious. I wish they kept on the original plan for this series.

As Season 3 ended, so did the show. The quality of the series went from Pretty good to Absolute garbage in the space of 3 episodes.
To be fair if they watched the show I don’t think it would have been any better I just think they not good writers.😅 Maybe the at least could have come up with a cohesive storyline to continue instead of coming up with a new one each season. The lader seems easier to me.

@@kalebgaming5648 from what I remember it was basically the fact that due to Travis's death he was after Madison the most main character. He knew that Dave had at least a 7 season plan and that none of the Clarks would die until at least S6 if Dave was in charge. He felt like such a commitment to a single character at his age prevents him from growing as an actor so he wants off to pursue other shows and characters. Which I mean fair. Unlike the main show where for example Andrew Lincoln knew what he was signing up for when he got Rick's role there was no "source material" for Fear so he might have thought the show won't last that many years or his character won't be as essential as it became in S3. But due to natural writing process he became the secondary protagonist (kind of like Alicia when Morgan came into the show and replaced Madison) and he didn't want to commit to it

Just recently watched this show whoever made the first 3 season did a fantastic job rest of the show is a waste of time lol started to get boring once that bomb went off
People are quick to hate the new shoruners and I agree they didn't handle everything the best they could have....but I also blame Dave Erickson's ego. He wantsd to sabotage S4 as much as he could nefore he left which is something he admitted to with Troy. The only reason he killed him off was bwcouse he "didn't want anyone to ruin him". And there is evidence to prove he sabotaged S4 further:
1. The only person we see survive the dam is Madison. There are a few reasons; Nick wanted off so the finale was his initial send off. But Fear's new crew had some masters of negotiations and convinced him to do on more season. We also know Mad Dog and Walker didn't come back becouse they wanted to work with Dave and no one else. I truly do believe the reason he didn't show everyone aside for Nick,Walker and Mad Dog was becouse he HOPED more people would not continue for S4 and he wanted to give them an exit IN THIS SEASON. Which is pretty scummy
2. He intentionally had all the big shots in the Proctors arrive at the dam and blow up without showing the survive so the new crew had to either abandon the plotline,had them all survive AN EXPLOSION WITH NO CONSEQUENCES or introduce even more important leaders at which point you undermine John Proctor's role and ruin his character. Again. Scummy
3. Killing of Troy which I explained
All 3 of these actions made the new showrunners not respect ANY plots set uo by Dave Erickson. And I don't blame them. When someone shows you no respect why should you show any towards that person? He wanted them to fail so instead of playing into his game they did their own thing. And by the way 4A turned out I'd say they had a lot of potential. 4B is the part I have issues with. But 4A was as close to perfect as it can be. And I applaud them for it.
