I love the gold, although I haven’t seen it in person. The clean white tone of the silver is just soo beautiful!
I chose yesterday one iPhone XS Max in Silver, I tried the Gold on Apple store but in some light angles the back is pink, for women is Ok but for Man don`t fitted well.
Tony Tony I just noticed that too from certain pictures. I hate that the color changes to a pink hue in certain lighting. The silver really looks so stunning.

I love the coffee with milk/beige vintage look the gold gets in certain lights, I just wish the gold in the borders were less yellowish and more of a pure white gold.
The silver color is really underrated. I love the silver! I love how it goes perfectly in every color of phone cases! Like when you have a clear case, it goes perfectly with the silver, so go with the SILVER!

I wish they had the white borders on the front, that made me like the old silver phones more. With the black border it just feels like everyone’s phone looks the same anyway.

I got the space gray Xs max. I was going to get the gold but noticed a little rose gold on certain angles and I don’t like that. I love the stainless steel edges of the space gray. Makes the phone stand out

I ended up getting the gold. I’ve always gotten black iPhones, my favourite being the Jet black on the 7. I’ve always wanted a gold phone but wasn’t a fan of the previous gold phones with aluminum bands. Gold on stainless steel gives me a premium look that I’ve always wanted.

If only Apple had done a Black (space grey) version with that legendary Gold stainless steel bumper, then it would be a no brainer and I wouldn't be stuck trying to decide. I like that the gold version now has "black" screen borders on the front instead of using distracting white as in the past, just wished they continued the black round the back.
I have iPhone 6S Plus Spacegray.. I intend to upgrade to iPhone Xs Max but I am confused between the white and the black.. Gold is nice but I would not switch to that for certain..
I got the gold because it was the new color and I had always gotten gold iPhones (until the 8, it looked too girly for me) now I kind of wish I got the space gray... I’ll probably switch to space gray next month for Christmas
I usually go for Space Gray but this year I opted for the iPhone XS Max 512GB Silver. Less fingerprint visibility and you can easily remove hair-like scratches from the sides with a metal polisher.
Rob Del Rosario i have the silver and the scratches dont disappear after you polish a few times, its better the space grey because the scratches are not noticiable

I like the sides on the gold too. Not a big fan of its back though it had a pearly essence to it under Apple Store lighting. I’ve had the iPhone X space grey since launch and I wish the back was darker. Like iPhone 7 matte black dark. Now that is stealthy.

As a recovering Nokia/Windows Phone user now forced to use Android I am digging the iPhone XR and it's colors. If i was to jump over to iOS the yellow XR with a yellow bumper would be my choice ... i'd find some goofy yellow bluetooth headphones to complete the look. It will be interesting to see the XRs IRL.

I got the gold. I pre-ordered it so I didn’t see it in person before I got it. If I had, I don’t think I would have chosen it. The sides kinda look like cheap tarnished jewelry to me. Fingerprints on it really make it look tarnished.

I love the gold one,but i think the silver is the best,because it looks so neat and clean,and it fits with every case.The gold one doesnt fit with every case because of the camera borders,if you put a white case to the gold one it would look like the camera borders r oxidated.Just saying
I would go with white because of anyone accidentally breaks the back glass the cracks would blend in and it will be very less noticeable and finger prints won’t be much visible

Finally, a lengthy color comparison. Now, i'm convinced to chose the Silver/White one over the gold. Don't want to risk of being asked by someone why i bought a girly phone. I really liked the Gold one in first look but i haven't seen it yet irl. Thanks for clearing out that it turns into Rose Gold in light angles. I should try to avoid that.

Jasdeep Kapoor the gold doesn’t show that much scratches but when a scratch does appear, it’s very noticeable and you won’t be able to remove them with any aluminum scratch remover cause if u try to remove the scratch off the gold, the gold color will rub off and turn to silver (it’s original color) so that’s why I got silver cause it’s the only phone that you can remove the scratches
