Pokémon Colosseum 3 could be a possibility because the Color of White is concerned Pure of Light and the color of Black is anyways associated with Darkness which of course means Evil which reminds me of Good Vs Evil in Pokémon Colosseum games!

im new to the pokemon series. i have only switch. is there any good way to prepare for this type of experimental game from 5th generation? what should i play then?
Honestly if you're new you could start off with like pokemon Arceus but it is hard to play and very challenging it was an experiment game like this but if you want a more simple one try pokemon sword and shield it is fun also with the dlcs
You don't need to prepare really, you can just wait for the new game and play that. Pokemon doesn't really require much preparation to enjoy the games
Naw, your good. Triple & rotation battles are a thing, but if I remember correctly they're not a regular thing, there's a special building to go for them as a daily event I believe. They've been pretty consistent with retconning the fairy type onto Pokemon that existed prior to gen 6 in remakes, but I still don't recommend using the originals to prep for the remakes cuz of it

A standard remake for Black and White would be a waste of time. They do that, and then, what? Pretend Black 2 and White 2 don't exist?
Black 3 and White 3 (future) and Legends Johto (past) is what I hope we get. A game set in the past and future would be perfect thematically for generation 9. And, as long as we revisit the Unova region and that lineup of Pokemon get attention, I don't think anyone will feel as if it didn't get adequate attention.
Yeah in all Honesty they should take it a step above and do a Black/White 3 with the Way to make the Original Dragon and stuff.
Realistically, this is exactly what they will do, a remake of BW while pretending BW2 does not exist. That, or a reboot of BW1 that retcons BW2.
My thought process was even though it is in a different generation the past game counted as legend Arceus which would make sense because it came out before the next generation scarlet and violet bridge the past i.e. legends Arceus and then lead the way to the future i.e. black and white three

Pokémon Black White 3 might take place on the Decolora Islands which were never in the games which is why I think that Pokémon Colosseum 3 game could be based outside of the Unova Region which would involve a completely different storyline which could help out with Gen 5 Sequel in the Future!

What if it's a reboot of Black/White or a reboot of Gold/Silver? Completely new story, but set in a familiar location. They've never done reboots before.
Excuse me but Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee are technically a Reboot of Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon Blue Version but with something different in it so Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee aren't true Remakes of Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon Blue because the game titles don't have Yellow or Blue in them!

Nope I’d rather be pessimistic and say Gamefreak won’t do shiz. Everyone falls for nostalgia so they know fans will buy these games anyway.
I’m not gonna buy them unless they are actually good this time. I liked scarlet and violet but I know that the performance and glitches don’t exactly make a good experience for a lot of people.

Ppl not looking at the fact in Gen 7 we had gen 5 returning characters like Grimsley has retired from being the elite four plus Colress I think out exploring places plus Ingo in the past still also we have the Blueberry academy elite four from Unova that related to in the Unova region plus with the original dragon they can continue the story and finish it off there
Pokémon Black White 3 is most likely a Code Name which is most likely a game that hasn't gotten a Third one yet which Mystery Dungeon Game would be ruled out because there's to many of them and Pokémon Ranger games would be ruled out too but it might not technically based in Unova Region!
Unova Paradox could be a Pinball game which would be really fun to play!
We'll probably get BDSP/LA all over again but this time with Unova. Another "faithful" remake of BW from ILCA, and a Legends Paradox game from GF.

That's what I'd expect if they plan on continuing with legends games, getting a remake & legends in the same set, and possibly continue using lets go type games for older regions to help keep them relevant

I've literally played these games since I was 5 (I got crystal when it released). I've given this franchise so much money over the years, despite their really shitty business strategy of leaving edging and always disappointing their consumers. If they ruin the best generation with an out-sourced half-assed chibi remake then that's the final straw for me.

I don't think it's too early for a remake of Unova. It's been 14 years after all. But I do it would be weird to release a Unova game this year since it is the 25th anniversary of Johto this year. Next year it would be 15th anniversary of Unova and if we get a "exerimental" type of game for Unova, it would make more sense to release it next year (maybe Jan like Legends: Arceus).

What I want from this showcase for mainline games:
1: remakes this year on the switch. Either gen 2 or 5 I'll take either. In a let's go or a modern full remake. Just want remakes.
2: a teaser for the next legends game for Q1 2025. I short cinematic teaser no gameplay because....
I want the next legends game to be on a switch successor meaning they can't tell us more until Nintendo confirms a new console. A teaser that just says Nintendo not the console leave it open to be on a new console. So when Nintendo announces a new console either for Q4 this year or Q1 next year then we can learn more about the next legends at a Nintendo direct following the console announcement.
3: 2025 pokemon day a detail look at the next legends game and gen 10 announced for that fall in the new console.
As for spinoffs, I'm neutral. I'll play snap, unite, Pokken and others but I don't care for them much in terms of hype so if they skip that and focus on the 3 games I mentioned, I'm okay with it.
Did you know on March 22nd this year in the US it will be Pokémon Colosseum 20th Anniversary and this year for Japan & US it will be Pokémon Pinball 25th Anniversary!? They're both Spinoff Games which either one could be Unova Experimental Game!?

I honestly don’t care if ILCA makes another “faithful remake” of Gen 5. Diamond and Pearl needed changes that Platinum fixed, but the fact that they were Faithful to only Diamond and Pearl and barely included anything from Platinum. Black and White remakes need very little changes from the original games. I even didn’t mind the fact that it was only new Pokémon because while I’m not a fan of all of them, I like most of them, and can definitely use a lovable team of 6.
Hold it what if Pokémon Black White 3 is actually referring to Evil Vs Good which reminds me of Creepy Evil looking person in Cipher besides that guy was straight up Evil looking which maybe Pokémon B&W 3 is Actually Pokémon Colosseum Return of Darkness or it has a Different name but similar to that one through! 🤔👌

A love letter to Unova would be like a point against a Unova remake.
I think a lot of people have heard about a Unova remake being made by a 3rd party but that doesn't mean it's gonna be at this pokemon presents. Unlike mainline pokemon games spinoffs can take more time to cook if there isn't some big merch line tied to it like Legends Arcus just had what like 1 booster set in the TCG. It's very possible Unova game is being developed, is still being developed and won't be out till next year or the year after.
I think we'll be getting a Jhoto game still personally.

From the rumors I've been seeing my bet is on this being black and white remakes or sequels. Seeing as the industry has been doing a bunch of remakes I'm expecting that much. over anything else.
If this is a game made by an outside game developer it will most likely be a remake. Most of Pokémon’s experimental games have been in house at game freak and I doubt that will change here. If there’s an outside company working on a game I’d say it’s likely johto and it’s a full and accurate remake

They can't do a remake because they don't have another game to get a Remake which they just need a sequel but this game might not be directly in the Unova Region like outside of the Unova Region which the New Game takes place on one of the other Decolora Islands which were never in the games beforehand!

Honeslty I'm not expecting jack from all of this. Given TPC, GF, and Nintnedo's handling of the franchise I would rather it be given to another company or just be retired. I didn't buy the "MONEY PLEASE" DLC of Scarlett and Violet cause the companies have learned nothing and will still do the same thing over and over.

Unova experimental game could help promote Gen 5 Sequel down the line which wouldn't be a bad thing it would be a good thing! Unova Sequel comes out in the future because it doesn't fit the Timeline for it!
Remember that Unova Region has a bunch of Islands that weren't in the Games which Gen 5 Experimental game could be based outside of Unova Region which would have a completely different Storyline which might have a very interesting storyline that will involves Unova past but doesn't take place in the past!

IMO, I still believe that Paradox Unova =/= Futuristic Unova. Futuristic Unova would essentially just be BW3, which seems unlikely unless they remake the OG BW games. This is also what Khu was implying when he put Paradox Unova, Legends Unova, & BW3 as separate poll options.
If Paradox Unova was BW3, why have them as 2 separate poll options?
If they just made BW3, folks who started playing Pokemon on the Switch & never played the OG BW games would be out of the loop in terms of the original story. Also, Indigo Disk already filled in the role of Modern Unova.
I do agree that it will be some kind of experimental game, but closer to Let's Go rather than Legends in terms of the story. Not a Sequel or Prequel, but a Reboot.

The game runs great, the graphics are clean (they didn't choose the style) and it has no clipping or other bugs.

Unova Sequel should wait until next year but what if this Unova Experimental game takes place outside of Unova like one of the Islands which this Storyline hasn't nothing to do with the Main Unova Region but there could be a interesting storyline in it about the Unova Region past from the people who didn't live there!
We know it's most likely a game that didn't get a Third Game yet so a Pokémon Colosseum 3 would be based outside of Unova would promote Gen 5 Sequel next year and Game Freak could do this because they like to Branch out and to do something different to promote Games!
It's the 20th Anniversary of Pokémon Colosseum in the US so Game Freak could do this is a possibility besides the Unova Paradox game could be Code Name for Pokémon Pinball Paradox Past & Paradox Future!
