What are your predictions for future Pokemon games? What would you love to see? 👀
2024 is the 25th anniversary of the Johto games. So if we get a game it will be a Johto game. Let’s go Johto. Legends Celebi or something along your lines. 2025 is the 15th anniversary of Black and White so that’s when we will get a Unova game if we get one.
I estimate that this year will bring us a new version of Unova, and the next one will probably be Johto, this because Nintendo and Game Freak would want to introduce new players to the new console, same as they did with Pokémon Lets Go
Gen 10 should be addressed as gen X it should also be based of Australia 🇦🇺 and should be Pokémon hot and cold because that address a big thing for different parts of Australia where parts get to be some of the hottest places to live in the world and some of the coldest with a lot of wet weather and some parts do get snow and we have amazing natural interesting mountains lakes and all as well as some incredible Pokémon possibilities with Australia having crazy wildlife
I want Pokémon games to have REAL villains again (no one of these not-so-evil antagonists). Plus I would like new Pokémon rangers games and would like to return to the Unova region
@@prowolf633 I haven't played a Pokemon game in a loooong time but that's one thing I loved.....all the mysteries and the amount of villains roaming about! Plus the epic rival battles, just isn't the same without true baddies in the mix!
I think it would make more sense for a Johto game to come out this year since it's Gold and Silver's 25th anniversary. Then a Unova game to come out in 2025 since it will be Black and White's 15th anniversary
This year is the 25th anniversary of Johto and next year is 15th anniversary for Black and white. Pokémon take anniversary seriously. This year will be Johto (25th anniversary), Unova 2025 (15th anniversary), and Gen 10 2026 for the 30th anniversary. Unova game will be the first on the next Switch.
This birthday line up is so wholesome, i hope they do that.
Make sense
If they remade HG and SS, on the switch? Oh my lord I’d be happy
If they like money, they would do that
With Palworld as competitors Ganefreaks needs to step it up and actually take some time to release Gen 10. No more making a half assed game every year we don’t mind the wait as long as the game turns out really good without bugs and glitches.
To me Johto should be 2024 and Unova should be 2025❤
I mostly love to see Pokemon Johto on 2024 for there 25th anniversary because I really didn’t have a chance to play that game from a long time when I was younger ❤
It would be a disrespect to johtos 25th anniversary if its unova this year imo
My bet for the future of the Pokémon franchise as of now is:
- This Pokémon Day, reveal of Let's Go Pichu/Togepi, that are remakes of crystal more than gold and silver, plus Legends Kyurem, both releasing on switch 1, end of 2024 and early 2025 respectively
- Next Year's Pokémon Day will feature some spinoff, like a new Mystery Dungeon and/or pinball app, and maybe DLC for either Let's Go Johto Games or more likely for Legends (probably no DLC at all though)
- Pokémon Day 2026 for the 30th anniversary of Pokémon will reveal Gen 10 as the first Pokémon Games on Switch 2
- DLC for Gen 10 the year After withvlinks to gens 2, 5 and 7
- after all this only will we get the gen 5 Remakes (Black and White 1 only) announced along with a Legends game based either on gen 2 or Gen 7 (Because of the legends Arceus Starters)
I want to see a future legends game
Me too, Legends was too good to be a one time only game
They must be shitting their pants with Palworld success. They are getting a lot of pressure to stop making only shitty games
I have been studying the patterns and drawn only this conclusion, and after scarlet and violet would have a similar color as sun and moon which would be bronze and iron to finish what Gen 2 started for Gen 10
Next Year will be...Pokemon Glistening Black and Pokemon Sparkling White. The name was an easter egg given to us in Sword and Shield.
Interesting
What do you mean
I’m down for a gen 5 remake. 4&5 are the best followed by 3 and 2.
Hmmm I want let’s go johto or something along those lines
I feel like BW3 would be to risky bw2 ended with a good game. i also want a western us or india region for gen 6 but dont want them to mess it up if they do. edit: also remakes dont come out untill the newest gen / region on a console
Also, BW & BW2 are over a decade old & aren't easily accessible.
I do believe we will get something Unova related based on Khu's hint at 2:38 about a member of the BB Elite 4 hinting at the 2024 game (Unless Khu was implying that Crispin & Amarys are connected to Johto), most likely a reboot of BW1 that retcons BW2 & has some subtle changes to the story, similar to LGPE in terms of story, right down to us getting a new mythical. To me Paradox means alternate story & it would be odd for GameFreak to make a sequel to a game that is over a decade old while leaving new players who never experienced the OG BW games lost & confused. Also, Khu put BW3 & Paradox Unova as separate options on a poll, so Paradox Unova isn't a futuristic sequel.
Now, I feel like the Johto thing will be saved for next year since that is Crystal's anniversary & you notice that LGPE is a reboot of Yellow, not a reboot of Red & Green. It would make more sense to release a Crystal Reboot rather than a Gold & Silver remake. OFC, that is assuming TPC doesn't just put the OG RBY/GSC on Switch Online, which, to me, seems the most likely based on Khu's Tweet that showed Kanto + Johto alongside Unova & Paldea.
I don't think we'll get a Legends follow up since that would be too predictable, it's literally a throwaway title meant for the minority, & I can't see GameFreak dropping 2 games between the SV DLC & Gen 10 if they want to focus on quality over quantity while keeping with the release schedule like they said. I also feel like we will get gen 10 in 2025 because of this.
TL:DR, Unova is next, I feel like it will be a reboot of BW1 with unique gameplay mechanics and minor changes to the story that retcons BW2 cuz GameFreak's gonna cater to newbies more than veterans. Assuming gen 9 lasts 4 years, we will get a Let's Go Crystal next year, otherwise, the closest thing we will get to Johto content this year will be GSC on Switch Online + RBY on Switch Online.
Great video honestly, I really hope you have great growth with the channel in the future!
Most generations come out after 3 years
RG-1996
GS-1999
RS-2002
The only two generations took 4 years to come out
DP-2006
BW-2010
I'm excited for them to anounce Nothing. Like I just want them to stop making games so rushed and releasing them unfinished. Instead pokemon day should just be an apology to us pokemon fans and telling us they're gonna spend the next 3 to 5 years developing an actual finished pokemon game and maybe give us the old games on the virtual console to keep us entertained.
I think wrost way going to be. 2023 main game. Then maybe 2025 be remakes like old gamecube and n64 like Pokémon channel and stadium. 2024 seeing nothing just new tv show maybe the show a movie for 2026 then heard Pokémon tv shutting down so maybe the work on new app for it.
They should surprise us with a legends Johto game this year, and then future Unova game 2025. Unova on switch 2 graphics would look so good
I really would love to have a new gen in 2026
Finally somebody remembered gen 9 released in 2022
Future wish: Pokemon Legends Mew, but not set in Kanto, but Guyana, South America (retconned to "the jungle" in "Faraway Island").
The switch is already at its End and it’s only been here for a few years-
That be crazy if the the name of the game for Gen 10 Pokémon + and Pokémon -
I know a lot of people liked Legends Arceus but I'm personally really hoping it's not another Legends game
There’s reports of Nintendo giving GF more development time, so we might see Gen 10 later than we’re used to. I’m hoping this is the case. SV had an amazing story but the performance was terrible.
Yes please. We could see johto remakes (both gold and silver as traditional remakes, and crystal as either a legends game or an entirely new thing.) on the switch and we could be introduced to the new console with gen 10.
I believe we will get something Johto as Khu has actually kind of confirmed it as in the teaser about what game will be in 2024 with Kanto, Johto, Unova and Paldea we've seen Paldea as at the beginning of the epilogue you go to your house there and then after you complete the epilogue you have quite a few new things to do in the blueberry academy so that gets rid of 2 of the 4 regions so if we get Johto that can count for both Kanto and Johto even if we don't go to Kanto those 2 regions are still connected plus its been the longest since we've seen Johto so that is why I believe we are guaranteed to get something Johto most likely Legend: Celebi
For me personally i would love for the 30th Pokéon bday to see them releasing fire red/leaf green , heart gold/soul silver and omega ruby and alpha sapphire for the switch and switch 2 as downloadable content cus imo those are their best games so far
What the heck is that Baby Dialga/Arceus doing in the thumbnail lol
Hear me out…
If they release gen 10 during the holiday season of 2025 then they’d have the whole year of 2026 to celebrate the 30th anniversary with events within the game.
Legends, Sequel, as long as they finally give us the Original Dragon
5:10 3 years for games not bad but 5 years better
I would love to see an official Minecraft Pixelmon by Gamefreak Nintendo and Mojang
I think it’s going the same way as Pokémon sword and shield just here me out we got Pokémon sword and sword and then we got 2 DLC remake of diamond and pearl 2021 and Pokémon legends arceus 2022 do you know that right and this is what I’m thinking about Pokémon scarlet and violet and we got 2 DLC next game will be remake of HeartGold and SoulSilver in 2024 and early 2025 Pokémon legends kyurem
I agree with you. Someone said that Pokemon is getting lazy but as a matter-of-fact, they are working hard to release a game every year. Pokemon is not lazy, they are so innovative.
Plus, the original purpose of remakes is to have connectivity with older generation games so they don’t have to support old hardware, while modernizing older games and giving younger fans a chance to experience them.
Which is a really cool idea
Innovative lmao
They need money every year thats all. Stop defending pokémon. They dont respect us
Innovative but rushed. Slow down a wee bit
All you would need is to take alot of stuff from Palworld such as the gameplay and maybe take out the survival bit or make the end a general life part of the game.
1. Start off as a Pokémon trainer and explore the region catching Pokémon
2. Battle your way through gyms and other trainers
3, then participate in the Pokémon league
4. Go to certain locations and catch legendary Pokémon
5. Specifically for Kanto find the island Mewtwo lives on and battle it and catch it
6. Then you could basically just live a life if travelling and battling people live in a house and grow food and have a Pokémon farm or something like that
That's what I want in a Pokémon game and have the same sort of gameplay as Palword.
Where when you battle its not just Pokémon standing and make moves but where the trainers and pokemon actually move.
I want a PC and Console Pokémon game that isn't Palworld
When gen 10 came out
It would be cool if they started making sequels to the original games (red/blue 2, gold/silver 2 etc).
Woo
Pokemon Crystal Remake in the Style of Let's Go and not BDSP therefore it will look nice. Pokemon Hexagon makes sense considering that name connects Gens 5 and 9 together.
I really loved pokemon black and white they were one of my favorite games I think it should release in 2024
Pokémon legends kalos is my dream
Hopefully they actually take kalos to its full potential and bring back megas (they have to, or the game will be a failure entirely)
I'm really hoping for a perfect game that makes me feel all the magic like in black/white x/y again. The current games all didn't make me feel that way, no matter how hard I tried getting into them, they just felt empty, superficial..
Theres only 1 more legends game and thats legends kyurem set in the future unova
And theres only 2 more lets go games with lets go ho oh and lugia and lets go kyorge and lets go groudon
The rest is gen 10 11 and 12
With legends catching mechanics rideable pokemon and all gimmicks in one battle.
Black 3 and white 3 sequels to b2 w2 with unova megas
Xz yz with kalos megas
And ultra mega sun and ultra mega moon with alolan megas
This will make it so all 12 pokemon regions are available on switch and super switch. Fight me
🎵Making friends and going places. Fighting round the world🎵
This could be pretty good if consoles stuck around and we got 3 or more gens of pokemon games on a system
I don’t want a switch 2 anytime soon. The switch was already an underpowered system and I see no problem in extending its lifetime by another 3 years. The library of games on the system can keep the switch alive AND by the time the next console releases, we wouldn’t get an underpowered one.
Thats a good point with the underpowered but im thinking lets go hooh and lets go lugia will be fine on the switch 1 and legends kyurem and black 3 and white 3 and gen 10 on super switch
I think that sw/sh are the only decent pokemon games that have come out on the switch. The pokemon company will have to come out with something fantastic to make me spend any more money on games. I can just keep replying the games I already have.
I haven't spent any money on them for years. Hopefully they will release something worthwhile and focus less on other matters and maybe take their time on the project.
I’m gonna have to disagree. Gen 9 was arguably better (I’m talking about the games themselves and the overall gameplay experience, not the performance issues and glitches)
The story was wonderful and I genuinely felt bad for arven. Sword and shield on the other hand, felt pretty boring and dumb. I loved that sense of freedom I got during my violet playthrough, even though it was held back a bit by gym leaders having no level scaling, which led to me wasting an hour trying to beat the levincia gym for my first badge. Both games had some unused postgame potential, mainly being important legendaries (weather trio, eon duo, you name it) being locked behind a paywall. Of course the dlc needs to add old legendaries, but we could’ve had at least one trio in the base game… (not counting stuff from gens 4, 2 or 5 because one is already available and one will be through whichever remake we get, and the other could’ve been exclusive to the dlc)
Raids being locked behind the dlc paywall hurts sw/sh a lot in terms of postgame content. Sure both had the second parts of their battle gimmicks (g-max and stellar tera) exclusive to the dlc, but that’s to be expected. S/V doesn’t suffer from this as much though since we have tera raids in the base game.
Overall, gen 9 has a better story and postgame content, as well as the gameplay offering you more freedom than sw/sh. If they stayed in the oven a year longer, a majority of the performance and graphics issues could’ve been fixed, leading to more polished games.
Thanks for reading my unnecassarily long comment, and please remember that this is my opinion.
@damlatorun6756 I know my opinion is a minority one. It seems as if most people love legends and s/v.
It better new Pokémon every year
I wouldn't want Game Freak to pump out gen X like it's nothing special no. Especially when Palworld just released and looks stunning af...
Gold & Silver please 🙏
😮
I want a Legends game so much...
its time to rereboot the kanto region, with waterblue! this time you play as the rival!
💙✨
I want pokemon to give us a game that can be played for 4 years. Kinda like how they have GO running all these years. Make the main Gen game last a few years and give us what evenmr events and raids and dlc for the game over that amount of time. Gta online, final fantasy 14. Ita olenty of games that last years with added dlc. Xenoverse 2. I can see a Pokémon outside of GO that can be played like the others.
Just give us HG SS for Switch or Switch 2
Can’t wait for that galar fairy tale to be something possible 😊
Please change the battle system
Next gen is 2025 obviously every 3 years and remakes are only after every even number gen so gen5 remakes after gen10
If you want to blame anyone its Nintendo. Game Freak can only work around the edicts they make. Hopefully something good will be released. I'd like to work for a game to buy.
Black and white were my first pokemon games when I was younger and I am excited if it’s like a black white 3 game in the future
Bro Pokémon company needa step tf up on the new hardware no excuses!!!
The fans need to speed up on finding something to complain about then
I could see gen 9 probably being 4 years long since 2026 is the 30th anniversary and is an important year and milestone for pokemon just like the 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries were for pokemon during that time. Plus during the 20th anniversary is when sun and moon came out and gen 7 began which was in 2016. That would mean there would be 3 generations that were 4 years long. Since gen 3 and 4 were 4 years long. And gens 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 were 3 years long. I could see them saving gen 5 remakes if they happened during gen 10. I think that might be when remakes would happen. Since gen 3 had gen 1 remakes, gen 4 had gen 2 remakes, gen 6 had gen 3 remakes, and gen 8 had gen 4 remakes. Gen 7 also had let’s go which were remakes of pokemon yellow during their 20th anniversary in 2018. Pokemon day is only a few weeks away from right now. There’s also johto and gold and silver that are turning 25 years old this year and unova and black and white are also turning 15 years old next year as well.
Give me palworld, Nintendo!
Where's pokemon division and multiplication at? 😂
But unfortunately the Earth takes a long Years but don't expect anything about Years of long day's As well As The Years of Earth but don't expect any of the Year's but that's not going to happen At all Everyone else who obsession with the Gen 10 and alongside with the Years As well
I agree they should do gen 10 in 2026
The designs need to get better
I think for 2024 it'll be a remake of Unova based on the hints in the second half of the DLC and save Gen 10 for the 30th anniversary in 2026 make 2025 a filler year for spin off titles or remakes of Colosseum and XD for the next gen Switch. I'm also hoping we finally get the First 3 Gens for the GB/GBA Online Pass,
Yeeah id hope the first three gen games dont come to the pass - rather they be released as seperate games themselves...
Y'know Ilca gets a lot of the heat for BDSP, however it's not exactly their fault considering how Scarlet and Violet turned out despite outsourcing the games. ILCA had a very beautiful vision for the remakes originally, but got hit with the 1 year deadline, and basically had to cut every corner possible. I think if ILCA had another chance with more development time, we'll be getting Gen 2 and Gen 5 this year AND next year. With Johto getting it's remakes or sequels while Legends Unova comes out this year for the 25th anniversary of Johto and we'll get the inverse for the 15th anniversary of Black and White. Or potentially sequels to create the first trilogy Pokemon has ever had. Think about the symbolism with that. Trilogy=3. Unova=5. 3x5=15th anniversary. Would be pretty awesome!
Bait.
Cope
Ppl want a new game already? Lol are they not happy with glitchy past and broken future XD
I don’t think they would make black and white 3 because we had the indigo disk
I think they need to hand the game franchise to a different game publisher, someone who actually knows how to make a world, innervating gameplay and not these out dated, buggy and piss poor games that Game Freak produces, such a wasted franchise on them. Get rid
2024: Gold & Silver Remakes for the Switch
2025: Legends Celebi
2026: Gen 10 + DLC
2027: Black & White 3 + Gen 10 DLC
2028: Black & White 1 & 2 remakes
2029: No new game
2030: Gen 11 (Pokemon Reboot maybe?)
2031: Red/Blue/Green Remakes
BW in 3D for Switch
is going to be pokemon piss and shit
No Pokémon black and white remake
Imagine seeing the Trainers: Red, Green, and Blue as 40-years old in a 30th Anniversary game. With Kanto being all futuristic with an expanded Regional Dex. Red & Leaf are married with kids(our male & female protagonists). Blue is married to a Lass and had a daughter(your rival). And seeing Prof. Oak dying of old age on-screen with his last words being; "Are you a boy or girl?", "What is your name?", and "What was his name again?"(letting us name Blue again, even with offensive words). And a statue of Oak was made soon-after to honor him.
Thank GOD you're not a writer nor part of the creative team of pokemon....
@@Protantagonist How so? GameFreak could write stuff like that. lol
I’m pretty sure this is a joke comment but since I do want to see red and blue married with kids sometime then red and leaf never show up together in a game like other PC do in some of the games so no way are we getting red and leaf married with kids. Who I think could marry red would be daisy oak while blue married Misty or Janine just picking from kanto characters and I love that red and blue kids would be cousins or red could marry misty because of yellow events and red could of been 1 of her dates she takes to the spot in gsc/hgss and blue got with Janine. Then it could be anyone important or a random npc from their travels and they have bio or adopted kids and last red and blue get married and have adopted kids. Any of this would be great and would love to see.
@@shadowwizard2383 And how about Prof. Oak's passing and last words?
@@tlst94 would be a bit funny but don’t see that happening I could see oak last words being in a letter personally and it would be heartbreaking meant for us to cry like saying I can still remember when I first gave you your starter Pokémon all those years ago so happy to see you grow up and still love Pokémon you are a awesome trainer, it would really hit those of us that played since kanto in the feels and I think daisy would take over the lab.
Pokémon has no future palworld killed it.
Palworld will be dead by April, it's just the latest fad game lmao
Palworld did not kill Pokémon. Do you know how much Pokemon makes even with or without the pokemon games included. Pokemon has their hands in almost everything. Palworld right now isn’t doing too bad but what will it be like is 4 or 5 years from now. Look what happened with temtem, people were hyping that game back in 2020 and into 2021. And years later, look where temtem is now. People were even saying that temtem was completion as well for pokemon and that this would get Pokémon to make their games better. Just like they are saying with palworld. Everything people are saying about palworld, people were saying about temtem years ago. Like it or not, Pokémon is here to stay. I don’t think gamefreak and the Pokémon Company really cares about palworld at the moment.
Bahahaha no it did not
Last time I checked pokemon was still the highest-grossing media franchise
Plus palworld will be dead by 2026
