The disintegration CGI aged really well. It matches the same wow factor of what was done in Infinity war 12 years later.
The little smile Jean gives at the end is perfect: he's saved her the only way anyone could. It might not have been obvious, but her powers were continuing to escalate. They were going to have some comment from somewhere else about her causing a seismic event, threatening the entire west coast, but decided to cut it.
Can you imagine if Wolverine was in Infinity War, and the stones tried dusting him but he kept regenerating like that? 😆
That scream in the end. Bro did the exact same thing in Van Helsing

Adamantium is strong, but those pants are stronger.
The way they made her hair look like it was surrounded by flames, by backlighting the messy part of the hair with yellow, was BRILLIANT! Probably he only realistic way to make it look like the comics, and still be cool looking and not corny! Same with her eyes, how they were always in shadow in the original comics, but that would have looked weird and out of place in real life, but they really pulled the whole dark Phoenix look off amazingly well in the movie. I still don’t understand how anyone hates on this movie, it was by far the best of the original 3 movies, which also makes it the best of every xmen movie EVER!
this continues to be one of the best and most heartbreaking endings to a battle ever.

It’s crazy how magneto could easily defeat Logan but couldn’t stand a chance agains Jean, however wolverine was the only one who could kill Jean
