    I used to race a TLR in the UK it was a pussy cat I spent money on the brakes and suspension, stock engine internals but all the bolt on on power gains … reliable fast it was a bit heavy but so was I … got me to Donington park 2008 WSB support race and a sponsor deal even though it was an old bike … it was in Pepsi cola colours… I wasn’t the best rider but I was a great racer

    I'm Gixer and Suzi fan , but the twin engine from the TL1000 R .. IS ORGasmic Beautiful power and torque .. and i will never understand why they discontinued the powerful TL1000R ... If it was A GREAT BIKE !!!! and this video , the TL-R It SHOW THAT IT STILL HAS MORE POWER TO GIVE ..
    That's the magic of Suzi's .. cheers

      As far as I know, TL 1000R was developed and designed to match with Honda's VTR 1000 SP-1 and SP-2, but TLR didn't ever quite catch them up. And what I've heard and read, TLR's built quality wasn't as good as Honda VTR's, so I think that Suzuki dropped the whole idea and bike alltogether as Honda already had way better headstart with powerful and fast V-Twin superbikes.
      I really think that's a shame, because I love TLR as well as VTR. I'd give both of them a reason to be under production even today.

    • @micarone
      @micarone Před 2 lety

      True that! These people have no idea of power to weight ratio. Yeah... From a dead stop start a powerful sports car may have better acceleration because of 4 wheels and better grip, but when a bike gets a full grip, you're pretty much toasted and it's "byebye" for your ass.

I will get another one, for now i have a ducati 999, its similar but the tlr is the most comfy bike ive ridden . @@019208237 Yeah my gixxer 750 would walk away from the tlr in a straight line,but with the tlr on the twisties i felt more stuck to the ground with it being heavier and smoother torque. I just like the vtwins,and as far as me wanting another tlr is because they are more comfortable by far.

    Pretty accurate in general but just in ideal circumstances. But probably more so when you just have ADHD and not a whole list of 'other' crippling disabilities.
    But even then sometimes it all still can work as listed. ADHD is incredibly powerful and dominant.

      @Mauro you wish lol. That Ferrari has a quarter mile time of 13.2 seconds @117mph the TL 1000R 11 seconds @132mph. That’s a HUGE difference. that car wouldn’t stand a chance keeping up with that bike at speeds under 140mph. I own a TL 1000 R so I’m fully aware of how it goes and believe me it would beat most supercars under 130mph acceleration. 0-100mph is 6 seconds. this Ferrari is 9.4 seconds. NO contest😂 the only way that Ferrari could win is on top speed.

    • @019208237
      @019208237 Před 3 lety +1

      @Big 1 if your blackbird ’s stock then no it doesn’t. I used to own a stock ZZR 1100 D “unrestricted” which is the same acceleration as the Honda super blackbird and the TL 1000 R which I currently own is about the same acceleration from 0-200 kph. So it’s not slow at all. Ride one then you won’t say it’s slow😉 the super blackbird makes less rear wheel horse power than a ZZR 1100 D I’ve seen it on dyno and the ZZR makes 139 HP. Another thing is the TLR is much lighter than a super blackbird. I’ll prove my claim as well👍 if you push the TLR you will see 180+ mph on the clock but in real speed terms it’s around 168 mph so around 10 mph less than the blackbird. The TL 1000 R makes around 120 hp on dyno and the blackbird around 136 but when you take into consideration the weight difference there is not much difference in terms of acceleration at speeds under 130mph. It takes the blackbird around 3 seconds from 100 kph to 160 kph and the TL is the same. That’s 60-100 mph. I’d challenge any stock blackbird from 0-140mph and I guarantee I’d keep up. My ZZR 1100 D had shorter gearing for acceleration but still the TLR feels the quicker bike. It's harder to tame too.
