If you like that router base, you should check out the 3x3 customs and Katz-Moses router base and build it yourself flat-packed router table. Really simple, but versatile design that even comes with the fence and and hardware minus a few wood screws.
What's the update on the Ridgid Track Saw? I keep looking it up, and it says it's "coming soon"
@@MCarberry89 Supposed to be released for sale sometime this month. On the HD website there is a place to put your email to get notified when it's available.
The right angle sander attachment is genius, and I need that in my life
I do the same thing by sticking the handle of the orbital sander or the belt sander in the bench vise. :)
I was thinking the exact same thing
Thank you!
The 90 attachment is really cool! Thanks Mighty Matt.
Glad you like it!
Thank you!
Those sander attachments...holy crap...that's blowing my mind right now.
Love the sander attachment 👍
Great picks! That 90° jig for sanders is genius. 👊 to that guy!
Thanks 👍
This is the one that made my eyes bulge,I need this is my life
Thanks y’all!
That right angle sander attachment is 3D printed which means it will warp very easily in hot weather
I would think it would have to be extremely hot and left in direct sun light for a while before something like that happened. They are really thick 3D printed material.
I print these in PETG. The heat in your workshop will not bother it one bit.
I suggested the igaging stuff a while back, and it's really nice to see it included. I have the 4" delve square, and I love it.
I love the bench squares from igauging. The degree angles are spot spot on! Makes for such an easy transfer to the miter saw guage.
Right angle sander is great! Thanks for sharing this little bit of genius!
Happy anniversary Mr. and Mrs. 731.
Very useful tools they are. Gotta try out the edge sander tool. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Freedom units… love it. 😂
I've gotten some great tools because of your reviews! I appreciate what you do Matt! I just ordered the setup block set and the squares before they're out of stock. lol
Thanks for your videos and information. You and a couple other creators has inspired me to try woodworking for a hobby and I find it relaxing until I find my mistakes but once you said I’m not a perfect being I don’t create perfect things and your not building a clock doesn’t have to be perfect really spoke to me and helps me look over little flaws that no one else notices so I can keep enjoying this hobby. I just wanted you to know quotes like that do help a lot of us so keep doing what you’re doing
Good video.
I have a set of iguaging squares, I really like them, just the ability to layout mortises.
It is one of my favorite layout tools, like number 3, just behind my marking guage and combination square.
Hey Matt, great video and content as always! And big thank you for shining some light and supporting small businesses like mine. It's a big help for us and for the woodworking community who might not be aware of some of the awesome products out there, so thank you. Keep up the great work!
My pleasure!
I’m brand new to woodworking and buying a bunch equipment. Your videos have really helped me make decisions about where to spend my money. Thank you.
Damn, that right angle attachment is looking like a must have
I agree!
I just found the imaging tools this morning and value and quality looks to be a great balance
Howdy Mr. 731...
I need to get me that 90° edge sander. I'll agree, that thing is DOPE!!!
Those squares look good too. 👍
Great video Sir!!!
Thank you!
As someone with a tiny shop that sander attachment is great
Great reviews and demos! I'm really glad that you are spotlighting small independent suppliers. Thanks for your time investment to help all of us work smarter and better.
Th sanding attachment is very interesting! Especially the drum sanding part. Never thought of anything like that
Awesome. Thanks Matt
I didn’t read all the comments - someone may have mentioned it - but the best change in the TSO square Version 2 is that you can attach it anywhere along the track in an instant. With no loss of squaring accuracy once you lock the clamp. They modified the T that fits in the clamping groove so you don’t have to slide it in from either end. Great modification!
Igauge to me was a must as a beginner setting up my shop. The Tso for my Kreg is one of the biggest game changers for me. I always joke that I was 3000$ in before I could make square cuts. In reality I was probably even deeper than that. It’s one of the things I can’t say enough about. In my mind, if you own a track saw, you almost need one of these. Also, I love that tso and ujk have teamed up. Haven’t used the park system but dang it sure is pretty and I look to put it to use on my project table I plan on building.
I have the iGaging bench squares, layout squares and the gauge blocks. Excellent quality and they're affordable
Thank you so much Matt!
that router base looks like the woodpeckers one I got recently. game changer having more support with a handle for a trim router.
I have the Bench squares from I gauging. They are marvelous. I have not got bad thing from them yet. Great product and decent price!!
After seeing the festool right angle, yes, we need something affordable.
Tatlor tools is rough on my budget. I like them a lot. Thanks!
Spot on with the B E N C H 😂
Thanks Matt, I'll vouch for the iGauging tools, been Happily using for years. Hello's to Ms Amy.
The right angle sander attachment is a perfect sunday evening 3d cad and 3d print project
The 90 degree attachment for a palm sander is a brilliant idea. Hope they make one for a Mirka.
It’s on the list! Keep an eye out.
I really wish iGaging offered metric products. As an emerging woodworker, metric is really the system to go with, and I've been using imperial all my life.
I have the setup blacks and the exact 90, and I love them. I think iguaging is a very good company. Their tools are on par with most of the other way more expensive tools
Hi Matt, love your videos frequently highlighting tools having the accuracy and often many of the features of the more expensive tools in a given class. What I find interesting is even though the less expensive tools may be at least "good enough" to provide exceptional precision for those on a budget, but does not preclude (perhaps even giving a greater appreciation for) picking up the more expensive brands in the future, so I don't believe the less expensive tools eliminate sales, as if they are not in your budget now (and you want to get things done now, not several months/years from now after you have saved your pennies) it allows you to get things done and overall allows entry into woodworking or purchase of other tools that will make the job less frustrating.
Again, thanks for these videos.
Perfectly said my friend !!! We could use more positive people like you and Matt in this world...
Great tools Matt thanks for sharing
No problem 👍
As always another fine video. Hint Put another set up block flat ontop the height block and you see and feel when your at the correct height.
Dude! Everytime I watch one of these videos I find something else I need to buy!🤣
🤣
You know 3/4 of an inch is bigger than 1/2 inch right outlaw? Or is that what you mean by freedom units?
Dang… igaging is coming for Woodpeckers lunch!
I have the iGauging setup blocks. LOVE them!!! Way better than Kreg's.
“Freedom units” had me in tears 😂😂😂😂
Really hope he makes a sanding attachment for the Milwaukee sander
Finally I have one of the tools 😂 I got the i gauging set up blocks a while ago they are nice
Love the TSO track square, but trying to get them in the UK is a difficult task
I bought the Igaging combo square, and so far it's been great!
Great to hear!
Interesting, though my wood working skills are seriously lacking.
I like the router base. But the iGauge set (the same as this one) I bought a couple of years ago was pretty sad. The metal the blades were made of was very soft and bent easily, and the measuring scales were off as well as the angels. And the pens were broken. 😥 I do like and use iGauge's Digital calipers and I have been meaning to get a set of their Setup Blocks.
All the Best, Chuck
I have had the i gaging combo squares for probably 2 years. They are ok but I regret not waiting until I could afford the Starrett. There are some compromises with the accuracy in my experience.
If you haven't seen the trim router base Tamar at 3x3 Customs made, you should check it out. Easily one of the most versatile bases out there.
Woodpeckers' items are priced like they are made of gold. They need a company to knock them down a notch or two.
It's for having more accuracy than you can humanly see or use.
Holy moly the Tso track saw square is insanely expensive
Moses never had a woodpecker tool. 😊
That little sanding setup is nice, good thing it looks just 3d printed so I'll just make my own for $3 instead of paying $70 for it :)
Congrats. Not everyone has a 3D printer or even wants one.
@@731Woodworks Not everyone has a shop full of Festool and Woodworkers products either. We use the tools we have to save us time and money, so thanks for agreeing with me. And for the record, a decent 3d printer costs about as much as that Dewalt sander.
@@cavedog1279 I have no idea why he responded with that chippy attitude, that was pretty uncalled-for. If you can save some cash by 3d printing your own tools absolutely go for it!
@@Ezethede I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he was having a bad day. Most people aren't just jerks for no reason.
The number of FANTASTIC very affordable and extremely accurate tools I have in my shop is thanks to this channel! I know not everyone loves these types of videos but from a small woodworking business, this has been almost essential. Thank you for your videos!
Glad to help
Great video! The set of two iGaging squares is more expensive than buying both individually, so you're paying a few bucks for a case and pencil that you probably don't need. Don't automatically choose the set option because you think there's a bundle discount . . .
Thanks for the info!
@@731Woodworks Thanks again for making such informative videos! I watch them all and always learn something.
@@stevemcirvin thank you Steve. I really appreciate you
'Freedom units' wouldn't be as funny if the US actually lead ANY freedom index :D
Besides that, love your work as usual :)
True. Overall, I have more freedom (and security) living in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Don't drop em don't runover'em. Easier said than done.
Your new CZcams "Subscriber" clock is cool! And I just ordered a couple more tools I didn't know I needed.
👊
I have a set of Igaging setup blocks which I use constantly. However, mine are sized from 1 mm to 20 mm with a 25-50-75 block. I have been converting from Imperial to metric and realize I should have done that years ago. I use several other Igaging products as well. I find that they make quality products.
I am saddened by the fact you are using metric. It is an inferior unit of measurement.
@@Mayhem-Mechanics ahahahahahahahaha! 'merica
@@NickLM2008 lol
@@Mayhem-Mechanics….Would you like tell the class how metric is inferior?
Great video. On suggestion - lower your vocal presentation. Your voice only has to project from your lips to the mic. Then electronics will do the rest.
Love the sander attachment, seriously useful, but having had a tso rail square (not latest model) in the past and the benchdogs rail square currently they are night and day difference. Compared to the cam system on benchdogs the clip is fiddly and just doesn't feel as secure, the bevel attachment pegs on the benchdogs square let you square against molded edges/worktops accurately, and the real game changer is the repeat stop accessory, essentially a calibrated scale with a stop block, ripping sheet material repeatably for cabinets is effortless
I bought an iGaging aluminum square from Amazon, NOT square, sending it back. Maybe I should’ve gone with stainless steel instead
Nice set of tools and good reviews. Have you checked out the 6-in-1 Universal Trim Router Jig from 3x3 Custom? Tamar is a maker on YT, also.
I like the right angle sander attachment , but I don’t think it would work for my Ryobi One+ orbital disc sander.
Love Woodpecker tools , but damn they're expensive.
I miss your project videos.
Great video, would the 90 degree sander adapter work on Craftsman? Mine looks similar to the DeWalt.
I'm 95% sure it would since they are nearly identical
@@731Woodworks My thoughts exactly thanks for the reply
I'd love to see you compare the router base to Tamar's (3x3 customs) that she made with J-katz.
Hi, great channel. Link to router baseplate not working. Thx
Can you see if the exact 90 dewalt version fits on the craftsman sander? Basically same sanders so I'm curious. Great video keep it up!
I'm fairly confident it would fit. I've given away my Craftsman so I can't check
@@731Woodworks thank you sir have a nice day
Hey man, I'm really loving your tool reviews. I love that you're a Woodpecker's guy, I am too, so it's nice that you're reviewing some good alternatives. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate that!
TSO now makes the track square for Dewalt tracks.
Do the igaging blocks ring together?
Which setup bars do you recommend, the setup bars from iGaging or from Kreg? Also, Amazon has the Kreg setup bars for $79.99. Amazon also has a replacement set of bars for $22.99 with the same number of bars. Both comes in a plastic case. Not sure what the difference is between the two Amazon kits other than $52.00. Do you see any differences?
the set up block also comes in metric
I've just brought a Preciva Folding Carpenters square / ruler here in the UK, £26.00 made in China, realy impressed, the square has a folding arm giving you 12 inch's, lockable stop on the common, degrees, but not on the hip valley, a scrib in the base, has 3/8 -10mm shoulder on the base lert and right. its worth a look.
Taylor tools are awesome!
Can key stock to the same thing as most of that for a fraction of the cost
Can you use a regular pencil with squares?
Just like he said, both pieces are separate purchases!! So the total for that set up is $90, seems a little steep for plastic.
Its a shame, probably would sell more of them if it wasn't overpriced.
Apparently nobody with a 3D printer has the old style Festool 150. There are design ideas out there including ones that are limited to 90 degrees. And I've got plenty scrap wood.
Great video as always - Can I ask if that TSO Guide Rail Square is compatible with the "Milescraft 1409 Track Saw Guide" that you recommend for folks that don't have a dedicated track saw?
TSO has versions for several different track saws. They currently have them for Festool, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Kreg & Triton.
Wouldn’t hurt to reach out to them and ask for a Milescraft version. They get enough requests for it and they’ll know it is worth pursuing it.
They won't work with the Milescraft
@@731Woodworks Seems like there's a lot of drawbacks to not going with a standard tracksaw with one of the main brands. A lot of those conversion kits don't seem to have great support, and neither does the Ridgid at this time. Good to know ty.
Bought the 4" square this morning after seeing your video. Saw some great ideas for my woodworking son and others.
Love the content of your channel. God bless you sir.
Thanks!
Where in Canada can I get the sander clamp
Will the track square work on the rigid track saw you recommended?
No, it won't work on the Ridgid
@@731Woodworks thank you
As far as i know you don’t have to slide the GRS v2 anymore, its possible to clip it on anywere from the side.
Yes it is
Q, On the rails for track saw does the square fit a Dewalt track? You seemed to have as always forget to mention Dewalt tools.
They do have a version that fits DeWALT tracks.
Enjoed the video! Does the track saw accessory fit the grizzly track?
I don't think so
Thanks
Appreciate the excellent video, as with all you put out.
Do you know if track saw accessory work with the new ridgid??
TSO's do not at this time
In the last 24 hours, the 90deg sanding tool had sold 24 total, so far. That doesn't include what has sold before this video came out. It's impressive to me that you hit that many people that quickly. Outstanding product and outstanding job to you for doing such a great job to help represent these small guys' tools.
Are these tools from the US or made in China ?
I can't get the links for the sander attachment or the router base plate to work.
it's to Etsy. Are you in the US? Just checked and they are working for me.
They are rectangular, not square.
