That's awesome, Claudia! I know what you mean...I am into working out a lot but I still find myself questioning "should I be doing XYZ?" Answer: only if I want to and it feels good to me. I love Yoga with Adrienne's "Find what feels good."
I couldn't agree more! I always say to myself in my little workout videos that I share that you are where you are!! This is a journey, a marathon, not a sprint! Keep going! 😀
That's awesome! I have also benefited from this kind of thinking. For many years I used to work out pretty hard core. It was what I liked at the time but now it's too much for me. But I had internalised the idea that a workout only 'counts' if it's exhausting. I am now working on exercising in any way that I enjoy, which includes walks and stretching. And if I don't enjoy it, I won't do it anymore!
Miranda seems to have a healthy relationship with food. This wasn't painful to watch like some other celebrities.

Miranda is so beautiful. And she seems to be one of the few celebs espousing an actual healthy diet not based on what you cant eat, or miniscule portions. refreshing.

I have a weird feeling that the nutritionist who advises the Victoria's Secret models is the one who is to blame for this hot water w/ lemon trend. I've heard almost every single VS model say that they do this first thing in the morning. They all have the same exercise trainer so I wouldn't be surprised if they all have the same nutritionist, too. And of course, these are the most beautiful women in the world, so their diets are widely reported in articles, videos, etc. I can definitely see that as part of the reason the misinformation about lemon water is so prevalent.

You might be right even though other celebs claim that too. Tbh considering what those people eat (loads of veggies, fibre etc) I don't really think they need to kickstart digestion every morning

Abbey, your such a breathe of fresh air on here. I have struggled with restricting too much or binge on bad foods. I love your view and focus on nurishing your body and if that includes a sweet coffee or sweet treat then so be it and that its not going to ruin your plan overall. We use conservatory to keep these plants in Norway. You can also install UV lights for them. They are not very expensive, if you are buying small ones. If you are into growing things a lot, then invest in a bigger, greenhouse like conservatory.

Lemon water has stood the test of time maybe because it’s trendy, but also maybe just MAYBE it also does make some people feel good. I am one of those people. As long as people aren’t spewing harmful claims let them have their lemon water. If it makes you feel good it without causing harm, do it! 😃😜

Oh, I am excited for this one!! The smoothy ingredients look delicious, can I just say though that I am not a smoothy girl? Am I the only one? Everyone talks about their smoothies and I'm over here in my corner: like I'll just take each of the ingredients separately on a plate...with a fork. Ha! This will be in my "What I eat in a day" if I get to that point on my channel.

When I visited the USA I quickly realised restaurant "sides" or "appetisers" were often the size of a main in Australia. I actually think these are normal sized portions.
Appetizers are often sized for sharing.

I love your videos Abbey. This brightened up my Monday. I love how you debunk common diet culture myths and really simplify eating and listening to your body. We don't need all these fancy supplements or a gallon of lemon water/celery juice every morning to be healthy. Eat what you enjoy, when you want to, get a good balance of nutrients (protein, carbs, fat. fiber, sugar) and it's more than ok to indulge yourself.
I am in my 30's and I feel like I grew up with such an unhealthy idea of what healthy eating is. This was passed down through generations of women who thought they had to look a certain way and restrict to attain it. I am so happy Abbey is an advocate for intuitive eating and body positivity. As a mom of a young girl I can only hope we continue to change this diet culture rhetoric so that we can establish healthy relationships with food and our bodies going forward. All women (and men for that matter) need to watch these videos and stop feeling the food shame!!!!

It’s been really interesting and cool to see how these reviews have evolved. I feel like As somebody without disordered eating tendencies and a very validated natural (aka ectomorph) body it was easy for me to interpret older videos in the same way that these videos are explicitly presented, and at the same time it truly seems like this channel has taken the feedback it received from commenters and implemented it. Not a lot has changed from what I got other videos but there’s a lot more explicit content where i used to infer things. 12/10 content truly.

Please consider reviewing Alivia D’Andrea’s “Glow up Diaries” it seems like a lot of diet culture and restrictive eating marketed as “retraining” your brain and “glowing up”. It’s hard to watch.

@Snow White “restriction” is an incredibly toxic word and thinking about restricting your food (what your body needs to live) to lose weight will lead to disordered eating. Linda Sun is a great youtuber that makes a point of eating things that make her happy without focusing on restricting her food and she is still really healthy.
@Snow White yeah but you dont need to be so hard on yourself . I lost 5kg by tweaking my calories slightly and starting dance classes which I enjoy . It doesnt have to be this hate fuelled horror show

I've had a fascination with Miranda Kerr's healthy lifestyle (mentally and spiritually also ) for quite a while so I loved that you chose her to review. I think I have the fascination with her because her personality seems so calming and beautiful. I can't imagine her being mean or judgemental at all. She also seems to have a genuine interest in all things health and I've never heard her talk about anything related to diet, except when she mentions she follows an '80/20 diet' and that her favourite meal in that 20% part is hamburger and fries. I would eat way more than her but I'm also double or triple her size so yeah haha. Also, for a time I drank warm lemon water in the morning and liked it, and I felt it really helped me with my morning bowel movement, but I wasn't sure if that was the lemon or the warm water and I lean toward it maybe being the latter? Anyway, thanks Abbey!

I have to say, I did try drinking lemon water regularly for a few weeks in the morning - it felt good. May have been a placebo effect, but I thought it really helped with digestion.

@@MaryJoWright I only asked bc a lot of times ppl do a new habit like this amd attribute it to whatever the liquid is, when in reality it's just that they're getting wayer regularly in the morning. I have no doubt it worked for you to feel betyer, but I'm sure it was the water and not the lemon in it

You should maybe review the show "Freaky Eaters" I remember it focusing on extreme food fears and folks who can only eat one type of "safe food".

hey abbey ! maybe you already covered this, but I was wondering about intuitive eating when you have to eat at certain times - I have 5 medications that I have to take at specific times with foods and it's making intuitive eating really hard - I guess for other people, it could be like if your lunch break was a specific time and you have to eat then or having to eat at the same time as your kids etc. would love your thoughts if you have some content that covers that?

Hi! I don’t know if you’ll ever see this! But I’ve absolutely loved your videos and I’ve been watching for the past 5 months or so. I’m in recovery from BED and just general disordered eating. I also have multiple chronic illnesses which cause high heart rate and exercise fatigue and I was wondering if you ,or anyone else, could share some light exercises that aren’t too hard on the body or heart

I am so unhealthy in comparison to most of the people you review haha. I'm recovering from an eating disorder but I still feel like I eat too much sugar and "junk" food. So hard not to make comparisons but I know eating that way (only whole foods) would actually be unhealthy for ME at this time in my life.
I don't know you but I'm proud of you for your recovery and having this level of awareness.
Finding balance and connecting to your intuition over time is way more important for you than eating the way someone else eats. You’re doing great.

Hey Abbey! I’d like to offer a suggestion for you (or your editor). I’d like to recommend increasing the volume of your commentary and the video you are reacting to in post, I personally have to turn the volume up almost all the way in order to hear you and then when ads come on it’s loud. Typically I would listen to most other videos from other creators at like half volume. Not sure if anyone else experiences this issue (thumbs up if you do) or if it’s just me. I’ve noticed it on most if not all of your videos. Super easy fix for future videos if you are wanting to make an adjustment! Cheers :)

So I'm trying to not eat McDonald's and other fast foods for 2021. But as a chronic fast food eater, I dont really know what to fix at home. I'd love a video on some basics to building meals!
I don't know if this is helpful, but I try to have the ingredients for a few (like 2 or 3) quick meals I like on hand. Like hamburger, sauce and noodles.for noodle.casserole. If I have time/energy I will add pureed squash and fancy it up. If not I can gave it on the table in 20 minutes. My kids other favourites are scrambled eggs, toast and fruit, or tacos. Those 3 meals happen pretty much every week. I can build the rest from leftovers, a more ambitious recipe and some oven quickies like pizza and chicken nuggets.

Hello :) Kayla Chandler has some great meal prep videos that are very simple and delicious. Also one thing that people do for a lot of meals is cut up sweet potatoes and roast or sauté but that is hard for me to do bc sweet potatoes are hard to cut! So I just leave them whole and bake them and then I can eat one each day with a little butter or oil and salt and pepper. I hope this helps :)
It was very refreshing to see a beautiful celebrity who appears to like to prepare her own meals which are not only nutritious, but also truly beautiful on the plate. I think Miranda Kerr has a healthy relationship with food.
Miranda has done a recent body scan with women’s health (I think) and since children she seems more relaxed & relatable

I've been learning to treat food as medicine. Because of this, I no longer feel guilty about eating a little more in my day when I feel my body needs to, based on my high intensity workout routines.

There is a reason why Miranda has been around for all these years! I think she has a really sustainable diet/ good relationship with food and she doesn’t seem AS swayed by diet trends as other influencers are... this keeps her relevant and at the top !!

regardless of what hot lemon water does or doesnt do, that shit is so yummy and calming and helps me when im feeling anxious, idk if its placebo or not but something about the steamy citrus is like aroma therapy and i love drinking it at night before bed
