Ingredients for Date Squares:
DATE FILLING:
3 cups pitted dates
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup date syrup
SQUARES:
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup light brown sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
*bake at 400F/200C for 25 minutes or until light brown
