Jamie... you are as sweet as your desserts. You cook and teach with such passion and care and that has never changed in the years I've followed your work. Thanks for all you do.
Bob Charlie idk what to say, ethier you said hes a d**khead, or he took away your turkey twizzlers..
I might get whooshed but im gonna take the risk.
@Bob Charlie curious, what are turkey twizzlers?
Simp
Gordon is better
He is amazing... Using his knives collection 💛
Made just now! Absolutely smashing. Made some customizations to suit my gluten free diet. Used buckwheat, coconut flour and a lot of almond four and used coconut sugar instead of white sugar. A tiny bit of pink salt and apple cider vinegar to the crumble to test and it came beyond my expectations! My first crumble is a success! Thanks for the lesson and inspiration; I was intimidated to do this but u made it so simple and easy to make!!
I remember watching him on tv as a teenager...it used to calm down. It's nice to come back and see he still rocks.
Yum! I always add oats and coconut to my crumble topping.
Coconut, nice!
Lovely!
Yes!
@@JamieOliver Just curious, why the queeze of lemon into the stovepot of berries? To add more flavor? Would wine or {a single serve bottle of} a vodka cruiser be just as good as your queeze of lemon? 🤔🍋🥭🍓🍪🥣🍯
@@Friendship1nmillion No. Lemon and lemon zest is a classic acid to bring out fruit/veggie flavors.
Being from Australia crumble isn’t too common among my friends. But I have such good memories of cooking with my Gran (who is from Bath) making the most delicious crumble of all- the simple apple crumble with a twist: rhubarb. 100% best way to spice it up- apple and rhubarb crumble.
That's the nice thing about crumble - it's just stewed fruit with a crunchy topping and you can mix together more or less what you like. Apple and rhubarb is a classic combo (with custard). I moved to Bath for work a couple of years ago - great city, and a great culinary heritage too!
Interesting, I learned to make apple crumble at school (Melbournian here). Also, I might try rhubarb one of these days.
Huh, I just found out from the Internet. Queenslander here, and I heard it was nice, thought I’d give it a try. Definitely something I’ll have to attempt, they all look so delicious!
Ah, rhubarb, thats a classic
@@yuliyakolchenko5581 Yes, at school in the UK in the 70s and 80s it was always apple or rhubarb crumble, don't think we ever had both together though.
Best way to add the butter is freeze it then use either a box grater or food processor- I do it that way for homemade biscuits and it is absolutely fantastic
Wow - great idea thanks!
You are the reason I joined Catering College, thank you for the inspiration
LOVE IT :d :d
I was looking for something simple to bake and turns to out I have all the ingredients for the apple crumble! Already looking forward to dessert 😄
nice
Was it nice?x
Cool
LOVE IT :d :d
So true these crumbles are like a hug that we all need. Thanks for the recipes and leveling them up a notch.
I been watching Jamie since he was a kid and loved him right off the start and knew he would be a great chef someday. and he is! Thanks Jamie, for these wonderful fruity, jammy crumbles!
He is already a great chef❤
For a moment, 10 year old Jamie smiled as he dove in to the Apple Crumble. All three were amazing, simple, and look tasty. For someone who doesn't feel like baking often...I even felt like this was doable on a weeknight.
LOVE IT :d :d
dived. Dove is a bird
Grating strawberries for sweetness?!?! Mind blown!!! Never would have thought of that. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I have to say, I'm so in love with how he expresses himself. We, Americans are desperately lacking in this area. 😊
Nonsense
Sounds sophisticated
Understand what you mean , that ree woman is dreadful
Tried this recipe yesterday and it was a DELIGHT 🤤 I added a little cinnamon to the apples while they were cooking on the stove and they turned out sooo good !
Always love your recipes Jamie! You’re an inspiration in so many ways! Thank you!
Jamie, I’m a fan of your cooking. I like your down to earth manner. I’ve recently purchased your 2016 Christmas cookbook, in time for Christmas 2020. Not sure why it’s taken me 4 years to buy. The recipes look delicious and the book presentation is excellent. Thank you for inspiring us all. The fruit crumbles, in this vlog, look easy to make and delicious - thank you 🍏🍎🍋
Jamie, I love your dishes! You’re such a great communicator, so inspiring and so much fun to watch. I’m Spanish and teach English to teenagers here in the south of Spain. I usually play your videos in class or even your TED talks and I have a unit on Food Revolution Day! We also make pancakes every year following your recipe and they absolutely love them. Thanks for your passion!! Will definitely try these crumbles. My favourite English dessert!!
I made plum crumble using Jamie's topping recipe and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you.
I first laid eyes on Jamie when he was this young hooligan making homemade Xmas presents for his family, I forget I think one was marinated olives... I WAS INTRIGUED LOL... Been a avid follower ever since.... Hands down the best chef and I respect him so much for the incredible family man he is.. Love ya Jamie from South African 🇿🇦
The first time I cooked pasta, I had used Jamie's pasta sauce and followed his recipe! It turned out amazing and years later, I'm still following the same recipe 💕

My family would go nuts because there isn’t enough topping Jamie!! I have to make my crumbles with a three inch layer of topping 😂😂
Same! AND cooked until crispy. Mmmmm!

Only one thing to add, which is my favourite - Rhubarb Crumble with custard. Marvelous as always Jamie and crew. It is not dinner without dessert.
Agree, I grew up eating rhubarb crumbles in the IK, I am now in the US and still make them for my friends, many who have not tried rhubarb before!
Yes
I've never been a huge fan of crumble but since I've seen this video, I tried the one with oats and I'm addicted! Nectarine is my favorite.

In Finland, we make oat flour crumble (no wheat flour). It's really good.
Noah Nobody that sounds lovely. Do you have a recipe that you would not mind sharing? Or perhaps even just for the topping? I would love to try making it
And much healthier
@@Kaspleen just replace all purpose flour for oat flour, put the oat grains in the blender until you have a fine flour
Noah Nobody in sweden too
Gluten free too .. yummy 😋👍
I love your passion for what you do!! I’ve been a fan for many, many years!! Keep up the excellent work you do😘🥄
Just made this, thanks for the recipe! Reminds me of my Grandma!
That's the right way to do crumble, 3 bowls at a time :p
LOVE IT :d :d
I love the idea we can make enough topping and freeze for later. I am now cooking for 2 and it is hard sometimes to finish a dessert as we have to eat it day after day. Now this is a game changer for me. Thanks Jamie
Thanks Jamie! Great show and you have such a passion for food!
Such a lovely dish! Thanks so much!
Love that you kept the main topping as flour butter sugar and only added oats as a variation. So many just only ever use the oats and not the main flour butter sugar. Though I don't know why you need to cook the fruit separately . I had always learned to make it all in one with the fruit and topping and 45 -50 minutes even 60 gives it a nice caramel crunch to the sugar. I like the addition of the almonds to the berries.
Might sound cazy but adding some chopped basil to the berry crumble would have made it even more amazing. Basil goes so well with berries. Especially blueberries.
Never heard of it but will give it a go
Sounds pretentious - Jamie Oliver would approve!
Not at all, I make a sweet watermelon salad with holy basil ! :-)
LOVE IT :d :dLOVE IT :d :d
Omg I have blueberries and basil!!

Love the trick if making crumble topping for future endeavors!
I agree crumble "crisp " has always been a family favourite as we could pick the fruit for free growing in the wild. Our recipe used one part flour to two parts oatmeal. It makes for a great crunchy topping !
Jamie..you are such a lovely man who loves to cook with lots of love n passion...
LOVE IT :d :d

LOVE IT :d :d
Thank you Jimmie you made this really easy to understand. I so appreciate this.
Jamie, You are the best cook I have ever seen in my life .. Great recipe BTW ...
add some cinnamon to the fruit and/or crumble topping!!!
Yes!
I am thinking ginger as well into the pot with the apple
Add some grated nutmeg, as well.
Y'all need Dutch Speculaas spices!
8 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp grated nutmeg
1 tsp ground coriander seeds
1 tsp ground aniseed
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp white pepper
3/4 tsp ground cardamom
This makes a lot, but it's such a delicious mix. Good for cookies as well, that's what the mix is originally used for
@@PoisonTheOgres I'm Dutch as well and also add some to my crumble! It's very similar to "mixed spice" in other countries!
Apple crumble is defo childhood classic. Best part is when the custard soaks into the crumble topping and creates this gooey goodness 😋😋
Estoy feliz de verte nuevamente Jamie eres el mejor!!! 😃
Yuuummmmy! Can't wait to make all three!
Who is watching in November 2019? Christmas menu planning mode
