Was driving my 2018 F750 rollback tow truck tonight in Arizona and 100 miles into a 340 mile round trip I started noticing a subtle lack of power on slight inclines on the Interstate. Upon returning toward home I pulled into a truck stop about 100 miles from home and plugged in my OBDII reader. By this time it was very obvious something was wrong and it felt like I had no turbo boost. I was already envisioning the nightmare of taking the truck off the road and to the dealer😢😢.
P2457 code but never a check engine light.
I Googled it and yours was the first video I watched.
I jumped out of my truck after about the 3 minute mark, pulled down the hood, hopped up on the passenger tire, looked down with my flashlight, touched that actuator rod with my finger, and "plunk", it released itself!
FFWD the rest of the drive home? 75mph up the hills and no more feeling of power loss!

P12A5 code will send a P1249 wast gate also is what I got in my truck I seen the hose for the EGR valve was disconnected so I put it back and clear codes
Bet the door is about the break inside the Bypass (what the arm attaches to) Also ford has extended coverage for 2011 to 2014, 21M04
