    I used to run the Archoil in the winter because my 6.0s would start better and run way smoother when cold. Now I run it year round and I think it even improves my fuel economy. My dually and my single wheel get complements be cause they sound so good. I've been recomending their oil addative for several years now and the feedback has been all positive. The guys who don't want to spend any money [ landscapers ] even swear by it because their plow trucks start and run better. This is a quality product you will never regret using. BUY IT. BTW both my 6.0s have EGR delete and the 7.3 loves this product, too. It has 344,000 miles mostly towing and, with archoil, still has the original injectors. Archoil since about 160k.

    Semi engines have 2 Dozers (injectors) one is for fuel, it's locating right after turbo, and 2nd is for DEF, it's locating at the end of the 2nd big bucket of exhaust pipe. If you find Dozers location on 6.7 get in habit 30-50k to clean them up. Simply unscrew the bolts pull it out, just enough to use a brush, clean build up carbon and def white build up of the tips of those dozers/injectors install back and you will never have a problem with exhaust system.

    You can get Archoil a lot of places but buy from Bill and support a vet. 👍👍👍 I've only had 7.3s since the 89 and my daily work truck is a crew cab 4x4 250. Bought it at 260,000. Ran archoil in fuel and crankcase since then. Now at 303,000 its quiet and still strong... stock too. Mileage though runs 14 - 15 mpg but I an't complaining.

  • @typeebs93

    I just got my 17 f250, stock would get 13.2, next step was 100hp tune with emissions. It improved to a little over 18mpg. I just got the egr delete and dpf deleted with disaster prevention kit for the cp4 and the 200 hp tune and I was getting over 24 mpg and that was driving from 55-60. I have a 2017 F-250 King Ranch 4x4. When not towing or hauling, I get around 22mpg. Not deleted or anything, bone stock. I couldn't own it if it got 10mpg. I do have max towing. Granted, the 17 has the new body and it weighs a tad over 6,500lbs without any extra gear and a full tank of fuel. I believe the older ones were around 8,000lbs. Still, 10mpg is crazy to me.

    I use archoil fuel additive in all my vehicles. My 08 gm 6.0 gas truck loves it, get 3mpg better mileage on the archoil. It’s a must have in my ford 6.0 along with the friction modifier, it gets much better mileage and runs better. So my gm Duramax gets it just because, and since I started using it from the first day I got the truck I have no idea what differentiates makes on it, buts it’s at 450t km and the original cp4 pump it still alive and well.

    10-11 MPG? My day to day combined mileage is 15-16 all day long on my 2015 and I thought that was a little low. I know they changed a lot in the first couple years of the 6.7 but that seems pretty extreme. Pulling my 8500 pound camper I get about 9.5 freeway. And I don't baby the engine. Hwy is like 17-19 (depending on the wind lol) so idk what bill is talking about fuel efficiency but i see a huge difference.....also if youre not doing a lot of towing or highway, the truck tries to regen every single time you drive it. Deletion seriously made my truck 1000x better, sound wise and efficiency wise. (Archoil every fill up, thanks bill)

  • @mikegadde8321
    @mikegadde8321 Před 4 lety +1

    If you're getting 10MPG in a 6.7 then it is highly modified or something is not functioning correctly. I drive 5 miles to work, then drive around my site at 15MPH and idle a lot. At no point has my economy gone below 12.7MPG (extreme lead foot that week). I am running the latest calibration from Ford on a 2011 with a 3.55 rear end, emissions intact, random EGR cooler efficiency codes and all.
    The only other time I got less that 15 was when the truck decided to perform 3 regenerations in less than 24hrs. Bad pressure sensor of the DPF, again, never less than 12.7MPG.
    While driving from Athens GA to Charleston SC with 1200lbs in the bed I averaged 18MPG. Pulling 3600LBS from Columbus OH to Charleston SC, I averaged 16-17MPG depending on where I filled up in relation to what hill/mountain I had to climb.

  • @skylinefever
    @skylinefever Před 5 lety

    In many diesel and GDI VW and BMW engines, the intake manifold has to be removed to properly clean the intake side of the engine. Cleaning compounds are then sprayed on the closed valves and wiped away. The engine is turned a few degrees, then the next set of valves are cleaned. It is extremely expensive. The EGR valve and cooler are also cleaned while the intake side of the engine is disassembled.
    I don't know what that kind of job costs, but it must be very expensive.
    GDI isn't a problem in all gasoline engines that have it. Mazda and Honda seem to have implemented it successfully.

    I have a 2020 6.7 Power Stroke and I was wondering if Ford is still experiencing EGR failures as it did in the past, or has it always been a customer maintenance issue. Also is it possible for a truck to run without ever getting an EGR changed if it's properly maintained. What Ford has conveyed to me is to not to use any product that hasn’t been approved by them which most likely is Motorcraft. I don’t know how much of that is self promotion by Ford, but like I said before you guys are awesome and you always seem to steer everyone in the right direction.

There are plenty of benefits in deleting an dpf system and drilling the particulate filter and the catalytic filter. EGT goes down and fuel milage goes up dramatically. These VGTs are crazy powerful compressors. You can see a boost gain on the stock tune of 5-10 lbs easy! The turbo isnt fight to expulse the spent fuel through the filter and bring in fresh air.

    • @e.m.landeros1723
      @e.m.landeros1723 Před 5 lety

      ... the EGTs go down because you aren't retaining heat from the y to the filter. If you get deleted you gotta make sure you get drilled.

    The right way to clean a egr cooler is take it off send it out to be clean. The doc will face plug than it cause the dpf to get really hot and melt down which causes tons of damage.

    I'm all for clean air but I'm for reliability too. I think the DPF deletes are good but the current presidential administration has their hands tied. Meaning that there are people who claim to be for everyone who are in there are just trying to appease those who don't like them. But I'm not for telling people what to do with their cars and trucks. It shouldn't be any penalties for those deletes for those who want to keep their Diesel engine for a long time.

His prices are at, or below any other place on the web...and I would venture to say cheaper than the dealer. His shipping is fast, even out here to AZ. I'm not affiliated with powerstrokehelp.com and have never met Bill, but enjoy the content, time and effort he puts in to the videos. So, this is not an attack on you...but how about all of us Powerstroke owners get behind Bill and help a brother out...especially when he has done so much to help educate the community. I have a 2015 6.7, prior to my Delete I was getting 12 MPG with town and high way mixed driving. Now that I am deleted I’m getting 15 MPG (not hand calculated, presented on heads up display) and I run Archoil 6200 Every fill up, makes it run smooth as all hell and extra lubricant for the CP4. I bet if I hand calculated id see numbers closer to 16-17 MPG tbh. Delete kits are still available, were just seeing less companies making exhaust- Tuning and platforms are still out there. Big name exhaust just aren’t there but MBRP and a few other companies are still producing them.

    200k miles on it ,,, back then that wasn't even broke in for a Diesel, people have forgotten what a diesel was really for , most people I know now get a diesel because they like it or they think it's fast , people lost touch in what Diesel engines were good at , being good for fuel mileage, reliability, longevity and torque, and not to be some speed demon trying go race everybody and they moma , also people have a lot of problem with diesels because they only use them as grocery getters and to haul a 4 wheeler And put put around , lots of people think it's taboo to put the accelerator to the floor , in reality a vehicle needs carbon blown out gas or diesel,
