I think Acuña is the most "talented" Brave but he has a long way to go to be the best. He has to put together all the skills consistently to get in the "best" category

I'm surprised Glavine didn't mention 1998 as a disappointing season. That was the same year Sosa and McGuire had the home run chase and both of them shattered Roger Maris' home run record. Despite all those home runs the Braves were a better team than either of the teams those two played for. The Braves made it to the NLCS and they were the best team in baseball with 106-wins. They didn't even make it to the World Series though. They were upset by the Padres and then of course the Padres lost the World Series to the Yankees. Has the Braves made it past the Padres they would have easily beem favored over the Yankees. That was the year they were supposed to make up for the '96 loss to the Yanks when the Braves were favored. Then of course they werw robbed of a World Series the year before that in '97 by home plate umpire Eric Gregg in the infamous "Eric Gregg game" because Greg was calling strikes against the Braves on pitches that were 2 feet of the plate. Livan Hernandez pitched that game for the Marlins and he was never even a strikeout pitcher but Gregg gave him 15 strikeouts in that game when he was nowhere near the plate. Of course the Marlins went on to win it all but they never deserved to be there in the first place. Gregg cheated the Braves put of a World Series they likely would have won. I still wonder if Gregg was either paid off to do that or if he just had a lot of gambling debt. How do you call pitches 2 feet off the plate strikes over and over and over again but only against one of the teams? And it happened late in the series of a tied NLCS. Dispicable.
