  • Inspiration4 is a trip to Earth orbit with an all-private crew. It was the first time in human history a group of completely non-government, non-professional astronauts embarked on such a journey.
Four seats aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft were purchased by 38-year-old billionaire Jared Isaacman with the goal to send himself and three ordinary people into orbit and to raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
The three selected, by different means, are 29-year-old Hayley Arceneaux, a child cancer survivor and now a St. Jude physician assistant; Sian Proctor, a 51-year-old geoscientist, explorer and science communication specialist; and 42-year-old Chris Sembroski, an Iraq war veteran and current Lockheed Martin engineer
Liftoff is occurred just after midnight UTC Sept. 16, 2021. The mission is lasted three days before splashing down in the ocean off the coast of Florida Sept. 18.

Inspiration4 is one of those watershed moments in the history of human spaceflight. Do you think we’ll see more crews of “ordinary” people after this mission? And what are you most excited for this flight?

Great content. Constructive criticism: be more enthusiastic. Don't beg for likes and subs. A good video will get those without having to ask. Volume is low. You have all the hallmarks of a channel worth watching and subbing to

The first high school dropout to go into space....if you told me this as recently as 10 years ago, I would've told you, "WHAT??!!" "You've gotta be kidding me!"

Interesting facts: This is the first manned non-space station orbital flight since the most "recent" Hubble Space Telescope repair mission in 2009.
Also, speaking of the Hubble, this is the highest altitude of a manned space flight since April 24, 1990, when the HST was launched. Only a few miles (km.) higher, and it would be the highest altitude since the Apollo 17 moon flight, launched on December 7, 1972.
Along with the youngest American to go into orbit; Valentina Tereshkova of the then-USSR, was launched into space on June 16, 1963, ALSO on a three-day flight.

See these guys you can call astronauts. They were trained for months and had to know how to fix anything on the ship if something went wrong. Blue origin and virgin galactic were just ride alongs. If something went wrong they were screwed

Great job, buddy; ‘very professional, no grammatical errors, good diction, pronunciation and verbal quality for comprehension and a fine slice of human interest, technical information and historical prophesy. I am forwarding your vid to my students. Very polished. I do wish you considered slowing down; ‘nothing wrong with talking at normal conversational speed ad breaking a vid into two parts. Ad Astra-bro.

they are quite ordinary if you compare them to astronauts who spend decades of their lives training to go into space
