    Hi, can you please tell me how do you remove the engine mounts at the rear of the motor, they are attached to the block and i have not seen the way to remove them without destroying the vulcanised rubber.
    Thank you,
    Franklin

    2012 Polaris Ranger 500 EFT. I have to change the water pump shaft (bent shaft).
    1. How much further to get the water pump shaft out and replaced?
    2. Can the case be split without the splitter tool, using a couple of flat blade scraapers?

    Great video. I have a 400 HO that was given to me free because of low compression. Took jug off and it did the exact same thing , piston skirt broke apart and eventually piston split. Just wondering what parts you used for piston and cylinder repair? Is the metal cylinder sleeve replaceable ?

      I went with the Namura. Piston. I've always had good luck with that brand and not as expensive as wisco. The cylinder I got lucky and was able to just hone it out. If yours is that bad, take it to a machine shop. They can bore it out.

      It's pretty easy if your mechanically inclined and have the tool. I love working on polaris. Lot easier than Hondas.

    You ever have the reverse threaded nut on the crank get loose? Mine did. back off and jammed itself against the cover to the point where I could barely get the bike to turn over. Tore the engine apart and that was the only issue..

      @futuregamer5791 Před 2 lety +1

      I wish mine did that. I can't get it off fore the life of me. Is there a tool for that reverse nut?

    I have a 90 trail boss 250 and it needs a bore and I want to put crank seals in it. Is it worth the extra effort to replace the crank bearings I haven't had it running because it's clapped out so I don't know the conditions of them it's a lot of work to split the case's but the parts are cheap should I just change them so I know my motor is good . Another thing how do you get the clutch off when using the removal tools isn't doing it by hand would a impact pop it off. I like you videos and I especially like your knowledge on these old Polaris since the dealer is useless

    • @TitaniummanGarage
      @TitaniummanGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      If your going to keep it a long time I would replace the bearings. I did a top end on my sons 250. pieces of the piston skirt went into the case and got in the bearings. I dumped old gas in the case several times to rinse it, then spun the crank to hear for any crunchy noise. took a air gun and blew it out. been running good for 3 years. Point being, you might get lucky.

      @@TitaniummanGarage Polaris said to me that it is very unusual to find anything wrong with the bottom end, except if your piston breaks and parts fall inside the engine, this may damage the gears and throw the crankshaft out of balance.

    Can you do a video on taking the front rack and plastic off of a 1998 425 magnum. I’m stuck and can’t figure out how to get the rack off. Thanks

    • @TitaniummanGarage
      @TitaniummanGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      That still have the metal rack? If so in the front behind shock you'll see 2 holes in plastic where rack comes down. It bolts to the frame support behind shock. There usually rusted on tight. I cut them off and replace bolts. And 2 small bolts underneath the 2 bars that come next to radiator. You have to take plastic off around radiator to get to it. I don't have one to make a video with. Sorry.

      Check out this video. not the same but, it will give you an idea how to take plastics off radiator.

    At the point in the video 12:23 you have the split case apart. Your pointing at the bearings.. the bearing for the water pump- does the case need to be split to remove/replace that? Mine is shot.

    I've got coolant in my oil, do you think that would be water pump or headgasket? Or something else?

    • @TitaniummanGarage
      @TitaniummanGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      Waterpump

    • @TitaniummanGarage
      @TitaniummanGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      Actually, there should be coolent leaking out the weep hole on the bottom of water pump if it is. unless someone replaced it before and blocked the hole. water pumps are common, but I have had a head gasket blow. they usually leak out the side.
