I agree. Anyone who sends nudes risks them coming back to bite them. What if the person you sent them to shows them around? What if a n ex uses them too try and hurt or manipulate you? What if someone else they know gets hold of them and tries to use them against you?
The boyfriend of a close friend once took a picture of her when she was naked (without her permission). He worked in IT and later after they broke up he hacked her Social media and posted it on there.* Fortunately he had second thoughts and removed it within a few minutes, so only a couple of people saw it.
That may have been because I used to work at the company he was employed by and had a quick word with him where I pointed out that I knew his colleagues and boss. I also politely told him I'd very much appreicate it if he never bothered her again which he didn't.😁
* This happened just before it was made illegal in the UK. Even though it is now against the law it's very hard to get a conviction and even if you do it's little consolation from having your life destroyed.

You could be comfortable in your skin and not give a damn. People who go to nude beaches have no problems with people seeing their body. We all look similar naked, we all entered the world the same. If people send nude pictures of themselves, they have to accept that regardless of how much they trust someone, there is a chance that the picture can get out into the world. But how you react to that happening depends on yourself. You COULD feel ashamed, or you can embrace that it is a naked picture of yourself, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. People are too sensitive in the world.

Best advice ever. I would even go as far as saying don't make any nude pictures of yourself as your cloud can be hacked, your phone or camera, SD card can be stolen. If you want people to see you like that just let them see in real life and if they have any kind of memory they don't need a picture.

I was a member of a KIK chat room, and this guy and girl were dating at one time, but things went sideways. She accused him of being "gay" which he denied, so she then posted a video in the chat room of him going down on two guys while she recorded. He abruptly left KIK and she got booted from the room for posting a video of someone other than herself. THIS is why you don't take pictures or videos.

Going to be honest, i've sent one nude, in response to receiving a nude, and we dated for a year. My one and only time. In spite of the break up i trust that person to not share that picture. And to be perfectly honest, i wouldntbe bothered if they did.

If you feel you must send a nude, never show your face or identifying marks such as tattoos. If you can't be ID'd...you can't be blackmailed.
You do realize that the originator of such a message is clearly visible, and that the metadata ,which can be viewed by anyone looking at the picture, may identify your phone or the aparatus you took the picture with. (depending on the amount of information the device puts into the metadata)
So the best advice still is: just never take nude pictures with a device that is able to connect to a network and do not store nudes of yourself on a network capable device.
You know if someone exposes your nude can sue them for defamation of character and if they use it for blackmail sue them for blackmail. Then guess who's having the worst time

Hi, Lydia. While my wife and I are not ashamed of our bodies, in our opinion, our bodies are for each other. Our children grew up feeling natural and safe if naked in our home, but not in other environments. Some of our kids were shy, so never walked around naked in the home except maybe as babies, and other children didn't give it a thought. Modesty is important, but body shaming is not. If someone happened to see me naked, other than my wife or our kids in our home, I wouldn't run off screaming, ashamed. I would just go cover up and continue on what I was doing. Never sent a pic. But I have texted romantic comments to my wife, and vice versa.

I've had coworkers who were quite proud of their wives, and shared pics of their wives with each other. I declined to look. When asked why, I said:
1) What if you bring your wife to the company Christmas party and introduce us, I wouldn't be able to look her in the eyes.
2) I feel like it would be disrespectful to my wife.
3) Looking implies a certain amount of expectation, and there's no way I'm showing nudes of my wife. Again, would be disrespectful.
I think they're out of business now, but every few years as a romantic gesture I would take my wife to Glamour Shots to get some nice pictures of her, in fact my avatar is a cropping of the first time I ever did this. We had just started dating, and I asked her for a pic to carry in my wallet or just keep in general, but she didn't have any. So I immediately set up an appointment to go to the studio so I would have some. It became a little bit of a tradition, and a way for me to express how much I loved her then, and still do.
I've did it too several Scammers and they threatened too ruin my life cussing me out and begging for Money and threatened too call the police and I gave them my personal information too

Back in the day before Cell Phones, in 1988, I was in the Navy and on deployment. Some guy's wife was having an affair and she told her husband while he was deployed, who one of my shipmates, so he takes a hand full of pictures that she had sent him and threw them out there for everyone to see, said "You guys want these I don't want them anymore."
When I was doing the online dating thing, I could not believe the amount of women that would send me a nude photo before our first meeting then they would ask me OK your turn send me one and I would tell them no they would ask why and I would tell them because I’m a little bit modest, and if you ever took out photo to my boss, I would be fired

I don't think there is any inherent moral quandary here, simply a personal preference.
Obviously, there are many people who have chosen to pose nude in some form of public forum- actors/actresses in films with nude scenes / "corn" performers / artist's models / photographer's models / burlesque performers / etc, etc. And if you're going to make that choice, you have come to terms with your body, and it's being viewed by strangers, under these specific circumstances. That can be very different from intimate nudes, sent to a trusted, stable romantic partner- or even a potential, not-yet-but-hopefully romantic partner. In an ideal world, the general public would only see what we choose to allow them to see. But we don't live in an ideal world, and many people seem to get off on the very nature of "stolen" pics, beyond the basic titillation of the nudity itself, the invasion of privacy is exciting to some people. Which is pretty sad (an understatement). If you are choosing to display yourself to someone in private, my feeling is that you must, on some level, come to terms - before you send - with the notion that these private photos might- might- become public at some point. And whether you have chosen to display yourself in public in some form on purpose, or whether you have chosen to display yourself in private with the knowledge that it might become public: you have to decide to be okay with that. You need to decide, "This is my body. I am proud (or at least content) with it as it is. I have accepted the idea that other people, outside of my control, will or might see this. And I'm okay with that." If you're not okay with that, then don't go there. Just simply do not go there in the first place. If you want to go there, then be prepared for the eventuality.
And if so, then understand that it's not about you. It's on them. Whoever "them" is, it's their responsibility for their own feelings; it is not your responsibility.
If some stranger finds your nudity sexually arousing- even if that stranger is not someone you would wish to think of you that way- that's on them, not on you. If you're a conventionally attractive young woman, and you consider the notion of some creepy old guy with thinning hair and a beer belly m*st*rb*ting to a photo of you, when you would never in a million years choose to be with that guy yourself: that photo is not yourself, it's only your photo. It's not about you, it's about them. If you're a conventionally attractive heterosexual young man, and you consider that some gay man might find you attractive, when you don't swing that way: it's not you, it's only your photo. It's not about you, it's about them. Or any of a million other scenarios, where someone might have an overly enthusiastic opinion about your body. That's on them, not on you. [There are some stalker scenarios, but that can happen with or without nude pics; some people are just unhinged that way. For now, we're talking about just the photos themselves. They're just photos.]
If some stranger does NOT find your nudity sexually arousing- if they have a negative opinion on your body- that is still on them, not on you. If you are "overweight," and someone comments about how "nobody wants to see that fat person naked; put that away!" Well, for one thing, that is factually incorrect, because there are many people who find that attractive. There are plenty of people who DO want to see that, so the statement to the contrary is untrue. And for another thing, that's on them, not on you. If you are trans, or gender non-conforming, and some person tries to make some queer-phobic comment about your body: that is their problem, not yours. That is their selfish opinion, which should have no bearing on your life. (In either case, it still stings. It still hurts. I'm not going to claim that it doesn't. But understanding that: it's just some asshole's opinion- can take some of the sting away.). And/or any of a million other scenarios where someone might have a negative opinion: it is just their opinion. It has no physical power over you. [Not counting those who do engage in physical attacks. But that problem is another ball of wax. We're talking right now about opinions, not actions.]
Sending nudes is a personal choice. Always - ALWAYS- have permission first. Never, EVER send a nude unsolicited, no matter what. Then it IS about you, not about them.
But with permission, it's up to you. And you have to be prepared for the potential consequences: should that photo ever become public, you have to be okay with that. In advance. You have to make peace with that. And if you are NOT prepared to do that, then don't even start; don't even go there. The choice is yours.
