Bowflex® How-To | Two-Minute Easy Ab Workout for Beginners

    This 2 minute ab workout is perfect if you're new to working out, or if you've never done an ab workout before. Follow along as you are guided through four beginner level ab exercises that are easy to do, but will still effectively work your core muscles.
    This quick and easy ab workout for beginners will guide you through the following four ab exercises, each done for 30 seconds, for a total of 2 minutes:
    1) Thigh crunches
    2) Marches
    3) Left oblique crunches
    4) Right oblique crunches
    Be sure when you are doing each of these ab exercises that you are squeezing your ab muscles when you flex them to insure they are working hard. Also, go for quality over quantity by focusing on slower, controlled movements that work to engage the muscles so you are getting as much out of each move as possible.
    Once you're feeling good about the beginner ab workout and are ready to increase your workout intensity, try one of these other ab workouts:

    Thank you for making this video. It is great for someone like me, a total beginner. I wondered if I was doing it wrong at first because I didn't feel any stiffness. The next morning I knew I had done it right as the stiffness was all in the right places.

      These are what I love. Short workouts. Obviously I want to do workouts for a longer time every day, but if I have shorter workouts in a video throughout the day, it’s better for me. If I try to do a 10 or 15 or 20 minute video that’s hard for me.

    Well I have to thank u again.. In a week I was able to do a plank the very first time in my life. I started to follow u and strengthen my core. 3 secs. 8secs 13 secs. And now 18secs hold in a plank position . thank u😍

      +Rejina You will want to make sure you are not pulling on your head when youare doing the workout. You should place your fingertips behind your ears, not on your neck.     I'm a small person and people say I'm thin but when I take off my shirt I'm not proud of my body. Is there any other workouts I should try so I can get that "bikini body". I am a beginner.       Rachel Ralston I'll suggest squats and lunges. For me, those exercises increases my hips and make my thighs look great while toning and strengthening my lower body as well. I also suggest you do a little cardio, so you don't bulk up :) best wishes.

    For the most part, I feel my abs working. Though I have a lower back pain sometimes. I know this isn't normal, but what can I do to stop it?

    When doing the crunches and the oblique crunches I can really feel it in my neck as well. Am I supposed to, are my neck muscles just really weak or am I doing something wrong?
    Also, whilst doing the crunches I definitely feel it in my muscles, but I don't feel anything during the marches. Is there a type of exercise for the same area that's a bit more intense that I could replace the marches with when doing this?

      +Deborah Oluwadare Pulling your head up with your hands when you do crunches can really put a strain on your neck.       +Vignesh Krishnan It is actually recommend to workout at least 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week for best results. This is just one of many different workouts you can add into your routine to ensure you are getting at least that much workout time in during the week. In regards to a flat belly, these exercises are great for toning that area. However, cardio combined with a healthy diet is very important if you are needing to burn fat around the belly first.     This is just superb, I have been researching "abs workouts for women at home" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Melubras Physique Patenier - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my colleague got great success with it.
