Now most would be thieves will still be thwarted by this lock but I expect that anyone spending 250 dollars on a lock probably expects better protection than you would get from a 50 dollar lock, given that they're likely to have more valuables worth protecting and there is a significant minority of thieves who will use low skill bypass attacks like bump keys and rakes (yes they could break in but a bump key is much quieter than smashing a window, and if done well wouldn't look much different from just unlocking the door from a distance. Not every thief is a smash and grab home invader, most would rather not attract attention).
