- I finally experienced the maximum lift capacity for the Kubota LX2610 front end loader today. Tune in to find out! The spec sheet for the tractor provides the details but if you are a new tractor owner, until you actually lift that maximum, it remains somewhat conceptual in your mind. Now, I know what it looks like, and feels like. Hope you will join me in the forest for Day 3 highlights as we haul fire wood logs out of the forest. Cheers!

Good video nice pile of wood stay dry and take care
Thanks Tom!
GP you act like you know what your doing You boys be safe
LOL! Morning Gary. I think that's perhaps just the camera angles....:)) All the best!
I've got 3 more weeks for the tendons in my elbows to heal and then I can get back to work. These videos make me miss working outside.
Good on you mate
Tell Bob there's therapy for his Husky delusion.... (Just kidding Bob, there's just no hope for ya). I agree with you that Husky makes a good saw, its just that I haven't happened to find one yet. LOL. Ok ok...don't shoot me, I was kidding again !! You guys sure knocked it out today GP. And let Bob know if I ever DO get the chance to stop by I will gladly run his saw for him while he's away at therapy. (-: I guess maxing out the loader means a 4701 is on the way..... Awesome video my friend.
LOL! Too funny T1 I'll let him know for sure. And you are always welcome to come up and join in my friend. :)) only if you bring your STIHL...
Bobs huskie rips pretty good. Gives the Stihl a good run for its money.
Nice job 👍
Well at least you didnt have it up on 3 wheels,, lol And yeah I love my HUSKEY over the one that starts with 'S' :)
LOL! I am sure you made Huskie Bob smile! All the best!
Terrific footage! That LX2610 is an amazing tractor....I know, I have one!
:)) Cheers Dwayne!
Great load of wood!! Have a Safe Day
Nice firewood logging. The Kubota is showing it's worth and nicely too
Thanks Bay!
Man that huskie saw blew through them like butter!!
Well.....good but maybe not as good as my STIHL MS 261... LOL! Cheers Kap!
Looks like great projects out there guys. Highly recommend log tongs for 3pt. Your saws won’t get dull so quickly.
Hi GP could you bring the big log out of the forest with the grapple over to Guy's place so you could cut it up there?
I think so but we decided to just block it there and split it on location. But I think I could have. :)
Well, at least you didn't bend your tractor, GP. Hey you might want to do your expanded metal mesh mod to that grill guard!
You bet - it's on the list Ed!
There it is @ 4:39 Bob yelling HUSKIE! You got it this time GP! 😁
LOL! He is too funny ... Have a good one DA!
I enjoyed the video!
Seeing how much the grapple will lift, boys will be boys.
Thanks David! Happy you enjoyed it!
Lot of wood. Nice show
Nice team work
hello now its a great weekend
Cheers Frankie!
GP your are getting to be a real pro with the grapple
Thanks John! I think the shape of the grapple helps me alot - the curve of the jaw and the back plate tends to favour the shape of the logs. Have a great weekend!
Nice tractor LX2610 too much fun and work at the same time. I just got the L3301 myself and Kubota makes good tractors. Thanks for the upload.
Cheers and thanks for tuning in!
Good Evening GP.
Yup you have to try to know your limits.
When Guy was pulling that tree out to be cut up that’s how I do it. I pull them tree length right up to the house about a half mile.. Been doing it that way for 40 plus years…
But this year Sally said no more.
Getting older now and getting harder every year.. Says she wants me around for longer.. hahaha
So today and nice new Pellet stove got put in.. Now to learn all over again.. hahah
I am glad she thinks I am a keeper.
Hahahah
You Guys work so well together..
Friends like them are worth every thing..
Gord , Guy and Bob 👍👍☕️
As always stay safe and always be kind.
Cheers
Morning Gus and Sally! That's great - I have heard about the wood pellets - there is a factory up here that makes them. I hope that will make it easier for you both in the winters. Let me know how it is going come winter. Enjoy your weekend!
There seems to be some nice saw logs in that pile
Hi GP, That LX2610 continues to impress! That's a top-shelf operation you guys have there. Looks like a lot of fun. Stay safe guys. Peace.
Morning and thanks H2!
Good evening Gord, you guys were rockin today to beat the weather. Who told Bob to sharpen his saw and it would cut better? He was working like he was hungry. Glad you got all that wood in. Guy can load that bigger log with his tractor. Your tractor tried. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred. Stay safe and keep having fun. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
LOL! good morning Fred! Yup, he was sharp and determined today. I agree - Guy will get it :) Have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday.
Gord I know it’s a little off the subject but on the steering column there is a grease fitting . There’s 2 bolts and 1 philips screw to remove the cowl around the dashboard, below the rubber boot there is a fitting to grease and under the right side there’s another one on the hydrow control pedal. Love to see your family happy in the woods orange and human best wishes
Hey thanks Brian! I was not aware of that but will take a look back through the manual too - been a while. Thanks for the head's up! Take care and all the best to you too!
Good show, Cheers!
Cheers Earnest!
Some of those big ones looked more like saw logs! Im fortunate to be 20 min away from a mill that will buy small amounts off me.. show up with a trailer full of 10-15, 8-10 foot hardwood logs
I sell the good straight Hardwood logs and the rest is firewood...
Morning HPO! That is great - very lucky to be so close, and to make some extra $$ without too much trouble. Hope you get them lots of logs!
That's a nice setup GP, have a great weekend.
Thanks MC!
Look at those three woodchucks go! You guys are embarrassing the beavers! 😂
LOL!
That was a big log there GP. Looked like you were ballested well, they all have their limits! Good haul of wood for a short weather day! Cheers!
Morning Doug! We barely got into the woodshop and it started coming down hard. Whew!
Good job at back40 roast last night. Love the Man Glitter off the Huskie.Cheers
Thanks so much Dave!
I can see Gordy you are getting more comfortable with the cab tractor. I would love to get one on my B2601! Thank you for the video.
Cheers and thanks Wayne!
Still an amazing machine you've got there Gord! It sure beats a shovel in your hands vs a front snowblower in the winter, hand hauling logs by hand vs a grapple on the loader. I'm looking forward to winter again after a long hot smokey summer in the Rockies. :)
Cheers TT!
Those are some nice logs. I'd like to get something like that for my mill.
Great haul!!! always liked you videos and content.
Thanks so much Kenny!
Good job, GP. I love doing what you are doing as well. Our '06 L3130 has over 2000 hrs on it, most from firewood logging. I recently moved a 28" average dia, almost 10' long oak log with it.
Thanks Jeff! It sure beats using chains one at a time. Have a great weekend
Looks like Husky Bob is ambidextrous. I guess he just switches hands when he gets tired and keeps cutting.
LOL!... or maybe I just edited it a wee bit....:)) Cheers James!
@@GPOutdoors The magic of movies
Good morning GP 🌞 You tractor is a great one mon ami 💪and these hard maple wood can get heavy 1,577 lbs like your were sawing 👍😉 You have a serious and great logging action on the go Sir 👍💪😉 Love to see Huskie Bob in live action 💪👍😉 OUTSTANDING video mon ami 👍😉👌 Cheers 🍻
Bobby is pretty funny out there but he wastes no time - goes right to work. Take care Dave!
I’m starting to think you guys need logging heavy equipment, a buncher and a wood processor from Tiger Cat haha.
Another good video Gord, Huskie Bob was busier than a beaver bucking up those logs!!! I finally received my LX2610HSDC!!!!! I’ve already rattle trapped the floor, made a pretty decent difference in the hydraulic whine, now I just need to try slitting rubber fuel line and do the hst treadle linkage to see if that will reduce the whine coming through it. Keep up the great videos and, cheers.
Wow - congrats Brian and great feedback on the work you are doing. Nice!
Awesome scenery and logging in the deep woods! Beautiful work with the tractors, although you might need a Kioti for that big one? :-) take care hope all is well, cheers brother
LOL! Hey Kap! Hope you are doing awesome!
A Kubota MX5200 could handle that log.
Good stuff GP! Someone must have finally got “Husky” a new chain! Lol
LOL! He just bought a 2in1 sharpener...I think it's working!
I feel some splitting videos coming soon!
LOL! Yup, a whole lot of them starting this week. Have a good night Mike!
Greetings from eastern Ontario.. Time for a bigger tractor GP. HAHA. I've tested the limits of my L4060 lifting pallets of split wood. Kubota specs are pretty close to bang on in lifting capacity. Rear ballast is key if you are lifting anything heavy. Cheers.
Good evening L! :)) I think Carol might be putting the hold on that. LOL. You bet - ballast for sure. Take care!
I thought the first one looked bigger
They were both awfully close Larry. Not sure what made the difference. Cheers!
The Huskie was running pretty good today for Bob. Did you or Guy tune it up for him, and sharpen it? Ha!! Cheers!
LOL! I think he warmed it up ahead of time. :)) Cheers Michael!
The worst part of skidding those logs through the dirt is all the sand that gets packed in the bark. Gives you an opportunity to hone your chain sharpening skills! (pun intended)
LOL!
Good video GP. When I got a ton of wood pellets for my pellet stove last month I had to split the load. My Kubota 3301L I believe has the same lifting capacity as yours. The LandPride forks I have also have a weight capacity of 1200 pounds as well, which limits what I can place on the pallets and still lift the load where I want to place it in my garage. Best regards.
So helpful having the tractor around Cliff. The winter is coming right around the corner. Take care!
hi guys why dont you lay you first logs the long way then pile the rest of them cross ways this keeps them off the ground and makes bucking them up easier and keeps you saw out of the dirt plus they dont freeze to the ground
That's a great idea Kevin! Thanks!
Enjoy your videos as you do a lot of the things I do on our property. I just wonder at what point do you think about that nice little trailer you made? Single axle with what appears to be 13" tires I think you are putting a lot if weight on it. Anyway I enjoy your videos.
Morning John! Thanks for the support, I appreciate it. Yup, Guy likes to push the limits for sure. I think it may bite him soon. :))
That grapple really is a hell of a tool. That wasnt the big wind/ rain storm that just slammed michigan ohio and canada and i assume other places. You are in pa right? Did it get you too?
Actually he is located in Canada. I believe somewhere outside of Toronto (but don't quote me on that!) 😀
@@d.a.ballou9740 well canada got hammered too. We had sustained 47 mph winds for about 12 hours with gusts to almost 70. It was unreal.
I think it was the tail end of it that we got - rained for almost 3 days straight with little breaks. Very windy - and a ton of rainfall. I am in Ontario Canada. Thanks!
Did you build that trailer? Did you do a video on it?
Good morning David. Yes, we did - really great project - Guy did the hard stuff, I just helped. There are 4 videos on my channel page you will find from start to finish, and then we did a couple of mods on the 4th video. We built it about 2 months ago. Hope you enjoy them!
Ok Gord, you asked us what the wood pile was going to be used for about a month ago, and my guess 'to floor the new trailer' is obviously wrong. That has turned into such a large pile, I would have to guess - supplying firewood - given the rotted logs scattered throughout. When will we find out the answer to this mystery?
LOL. Morning David! Some good guesses for sure - soon. I promise. Have a good weekend!
Looks good. The hydraulic whine sounds loud or is the camera accentuating it?
Hi Gordon try your pallet forks on that big log. I bet you can left it. Cheers.
Thanks Sam. A really good idea.!
I smell upgrade time, 3560- 4060? A banker once told me it's only a number. Although it doesn't help you sleep at night- bankers right? Cheer:)
LOL! I think it might be too big a number though...Cheers John!
Hey GP. What is the total cords are you shooting for if there is one Looking good guy's. Later
Morning Mech. We need at least 23, and then hopefully some for next year. Take care Mech!
Husky bob? Cause of his saw or pant size ? Excellent vid. Awesome time of year.
LOL! Classic C2!! His saw....
Is it better to attach a chain to the drawbar of the tractor when dragging a log or to connect the chain to a tow bar hitch connected to the tractor’s 3 point linkage? So far I attach a chain to the drawbar as I have a counter weight on the 3 point hitch. I lift up the weight and have the chain going under it & then hook it to the drawbar. I’m not sure if one way is preferable. I like having the counterweight on as I’m using the loader when working with logs so I’d prefer to connect the chain to the tractor’s drawbar.
Morning Karl. I think that is the best means - using the drawbar too. I know sometimes Guy will attach to the 3 point and chain the log tight so he can lift the front off the ground before dragging it. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
That log you couldn't lift with your tractor didn't look to be any bigger than the largest ones already on the trailer. Does Guy have a 3rd function valve on his tractor? For the heavier logs you could put your grapple on his tractor.
Hey B! He doesn't . Yes I surprised as well - the last one was able to be loaded but this one just couldn't be lifted.
Hi GP! Do you have the oversized tires on your lx2610? Love the videos
How's she goin'? The Kubota was almost able to lift that log eh!!! Oh well. I guess you'll have to block it up in the woods!!! Take care!!!
Yup, big and beautiful Grampie! I best sharpen up the old MS 261. I imagine you are getting the same change to cold morning s I am. It won't be long. :)) Have a great weekend!
@@GPOutdoors It's coming ...
are those logs for next years burning
Morning C2 - some for this year and hopefully building for next year too.
I am surprised you haven't got a sawmill yet with all the timber at your disposal.
Good evening Bill! Guy has a portable sawmill. We have shot a few videos over time on it (on the channel homepage). Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors Thanks I will go look for them.
Did you mean the lift capacity of your loader? My 4052M can pick up much bigger logs then my old 2032R using the same grapple.
Yes sir Bruce - The FEL lift capacity. Cheers!
It was great until the moment you honked the horn. I think you need an air horn or something. You honk that think around your buddies and they may revoke your man card or make you build a pond/pool for the family lol.
LOL Hi Stan. They are both already scheming a way to disconnect it - too funny. Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors meep meep!
LOL!
Does Guy burn that much wood in a winter.
He sure does. He heats 3 buildings and all his hot water needs off that wood. Thanks for the great question. :)) Have a nice weekend!
Hello GP. I am always concerned if I lift too much, I will bend the pistons in the loader, something I would like to avoid. Send some of that nice rain to Southern Maine. All lis well here and getting ready for winter.
Morning Jean. I get more worried that I have enough weight on the back sometimes. So I am extra cautious on feeling whether the rear is starting to lift or not. Yup, winter is coming - I'm wearing a jacket in the morning now. Keep well!
Your front wheels are way too small
