I'm from Russia and I watch KHL, and if you're wondering who could be the next unexpectedly very good NHL player from Russia, then take a look at Voronkov from Columbus

No but having a father who knows what it takes, has cause/effect for development. Kovalenko stayed in KHL to continue to grow at higher level, not fizzle out in the AHL. He is rounding out a very offensive game with 200' responsibility.

AVs are looking for cheap depth, but they're terrible drawing outside the Top 10. Fans are not too excited, might become a serviceable 3rd or 4th line Winger.

I've been excited for years since he took over with Torpedo. Yes the Avs have terrible record of mid-1st picks... Bleackley prob the worst. But this is a steal of a player.

Idk man, Calum Ritchie has looked like one of the biggest steals of the draft… Kovalenko is not expected to be a first liner. He is expected to play bottom 6 and anything above that is considered amazing. I think he will fit well on the third line alongside Colton & LOC

The crazy part is both Kuzmenko AND Kovalenko are both closer in skill to Wayne Gretzky than you are to either of them 😂😂
