  • @Tubtim7369

    Scratch Mikheyev, his last goal was 60+ games ago. For 10 playoff games plus end of regular season, he cannot help Petterson to score and vice versa. This could make Pettterson more depressed and even sink his confidence level faster. No harm to put Lekkerimarki to ignite some sparks with two swedes together or even put back Hoglander to create a full swedish line.

    • @jacksonjacob7791
      @jacksonjacob7791 Před 25 dny +1

      Yes. These 2 have no chemistry together whatsoever. Continuing to play them together is madness.

      That's a good point, but this version of Petterson along with his upcoming massive contract scares me too much. Might be a better idea to trade him after the playoffs (cause he ain't going to turn it around now) before his new contract kicks in.

  • @TheBlazersfan22

    Elias pettersson literally play with mikyehev. Pettersson needs line mates

    • @baiqi44
      @baiqi44 Před 26 dny +1

      Yes, but even when EP40 was playing with other players in the regular season, he still wasn't producing. Having said that, Mikyehev had a wide open net in game 3 and the guy shoots the puck at the goalie. I mean, I could've scored that goal. Hoglander hasn't don anything either in the playoffs.
      This is what EP has to work with, but he still needs to be a driver. Even when he didn't have good wingers with him in his earlier years, he was still driving play and scoring on his shots (at even strength). Now, he's not doing anything offensively.

    • @sucraf1

    It’s so simple from a kings fans perspective, the oilers where the hungriest team in game . The positive Canucks fans can take from game 4 is they almost won without giving as much as the oilers . The negative is , the hungrier team always wins , that’s the better team , the team who’s attacking non stop not worried about mistakes or defense, just going going going . I personally hope the Canucks want it as bad and show it !

    Farhan Lahlgi said EP40 is downtown riding around on a scooter enjoying the sun , this is after his press availability I guess . I don’t know about that what if he falls and hurts himself , try skateboarding , bungy jumping why not .Sidney Crosby before this years All Star game went to Utah or somewhere on an outdoor rink all to himself , just skated and visualized why and what he would do when he got to Toronto to the All Star game . Rick Tochett coached Sidney Crosby , played along side Mario Lemieux , Yager their current defence coach . Maybe skate with Demko before or after ice sessions , visualize , get back to being great again , Crosby is 36 now , Peety is failing himself if he gives up at 25 , what else can Tochett do . Hoglander EP40 , Lekarmaki all Sweden line EP 40 will get him the puck and he will score and win game 5 and EP40 will be great again and Canucks will live to fight again !!!

    Brock Boeser mentioned before that he had someone to help him with the mental side of the game. Presumably, he had a sports psychologist or counsellor to work with, and Boeser this year now seems to have a new perspective on life and on hockey, and he is able to play like the way we have witnessed now. I am no psychologist, but I think Pettersson needs someone like that to get his head into the right place. This may be something that is bigger than confidence and bigger than hockey - I am actually starting to worry about him.

It shouldn't matter who he plays with, he's suppose to drive the play and be the difference maker, not his line mates. Also he did play with JT and Brock, and still looked invisible and lost. Maybe the coach should bench a guy who isn't scoring and not really helping the team. We don't need him to be good defensively, we need him to score and get points.

    Elias Pettersson is not a playoff player. But he is not the only player not scoring. Defense and goaltender are playing up to skill level. Where are the majority of Canuck scorers?

    “He’s still making just $7mil.”
    That might just be enough for this guy. No?

    There is an opinion in hockey that as an oilers fan i used to laugh at but after missing playoffs for ten yrs i look at it differently. The opinion is: A player has to make playoffs in his first 5 yrs in the league otherwise he hits his ceiling. We've had a few like that in Edmonton in yrs past.Pete looks lost out there. But as an oiler fan thats good for our team.😊

      Yeah, the Oilers went through hard times too. Hope Petey gets his confidence back and helps out against you guys!

    Pettersson is a great magician. He just disappears when he goes on the ice.

    He feels like he's reached what life has to offer after signing the contract. What a deppressing interview, definetely needs a psychologist or someone to at least pump him up before the games....

    petie comes off like a pouting spoiled little boy when his play was questioned by the interviewers who asked some tough questions that needed to be asked. don't bring in lekk. give him some time to age a little and get used to N A hockey. the likes of kane and perry would be running him big time.
