I don't think many Avs fans are expecting him to make a difference but obviously a good story to follow and a guy to pull for. Everyone loves a underdog story

Good video. Taylor's work rate has definitely turned him from just some 7th round guy to an actual prospect. That should be lauded. But make no mistake, though he can be lauded for even making us call him intriguing in the first place, he is still in the lower half of the Avs' prospect pool, which is so thin that he may not even be ranked in the prospect pools of other teams

Also of note is that Taylor was drafted the same day Cale signed his latest contract 😉

Also, the Avs coaches have proven that they can take middling forwards and get the absolute most out of them; e.g. Nichushkin, Burakovsky, Drouin, etc.

It would be an awesome story but the Avs struggle to develop anyone not drafted top 10

He’s an average college hockey player, which is nothing to be ashamed of at all. But he’s just not at the levels that convince you he has an NHL future.

No the nepo pick is not a steal. A 21 year old forward putting up 12 pts in 32 NCAA games has very very near 0% chance of even making it
