Conscription. Since most males will become soldiers in a non voluntarily way, you train them to become an awared citizen who need to have the capability to defend their country first. The why, what, how.
      .
Once they have acclimatized to it, understand why they are there, have the basic skills, then we can teach them proper soldiering fundamentals, Which is usually the next phase after bmt.

Not telling them to abuse rank but this is the military la, some things really need some firm and strong enforcement for control and order

The suck thumb phrases which i hate the most. Whenever i hear those phrases, it made me show my true colors.
I did it when i was serving NS because of those phrases. The more i hear, the more i show my stubbornness. I take the consequences I don't care. The more consequences, the more stubborn i become, the more colder i be.
Why? This is who i am. I have a stand that everything is temporary. I take the risk, bare the consequences, fear no man because everything is temporary.
Pain is temporary, punishment is temporary, getting scolded at is temporary and nothing is permanent.
Forcing someone to do something they don't like, you won't get their 100% but if they do it out of their own will, this are the people that will give their 110%
Me? I ready to die for my country. Protecting it. By my own way. I'm not very fond at taking orders and giving out order. I'm the bold one. When the OC says "CHARGE" which will not happen. regardless of bullets flying around, i WILL CHARGE!
I'm an OC runner infantry signaller. Do maps, attending to OC just not my style. Infantry on the frontline of fight that's my style.

don't talk rubbish. every role has its importance on the battle field, from transport to armour, engineer to commandos. and fighting on the Frontline is not what the big screens make it out to be. you'll be faced with the deaths of your buddies, constant shelling of your position and often lack of supplies.
