Dude, fricken nice! I use and watch a bunch of ppl use Fusion 360. Get the annually free Student copy. (You can renew every year forever.) Don't do the 30 day free trial. You can save STL and OBJ files to transfer into any slicer. (Consider using Slic3r or Cura...you can delete supports you don't want.) www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators

Some tools let you break the planes of the primitive and then extrude the sub-surfaces to make more complex shapes from a single prim, but nothing wrong with the add/subtract method of grouping prims if it works for you. Just a second way of basically doing the same thing. I do custom shapes in Photoshop the same way.
Good job on the model, you have a good eye for it.

look into Mean Green, Simple Green, or even Mr Clean for cleaning your resin parts. Mean Green cleans the best from what I've seen and cost less than any of the other including IPA. Smell is low as well and you can use them in a vibration cleaning tank.
It is suggested to remove the supports before final curing to help with removal and lower the risk of damage to the part.
Also switching to a kit with FEP vat for the tank would help long term.
Also there is a "TOUGH RESIN" out now that will help with weak printing when strong parts are needed.
The vat bottom and printing screen need to be as clean/clear as possible. Watch fingerprints.
A UV box or the sun will help with final curing but hot water might help get the warp out first.

I used to build 3-D stuff in Second Life and it was a lot like this. Back when SL first came out (2002) prims were all people had and they managed to come up with some pretty neat stuff. It's amazing what you can do with some basic geometric shapes and the right textures.

It would look sharp to make a wide trim piece toward the middle that you could paint a different color to contrast to the body like was often seen on these in the 70's. Some marker lights on the top corners and making a ladder for it would make it complete!

I might have to invest in a SLA printer, as I've seen some awesome pieces being made like 1/64 scale motorcycles.
Was there a tutorial you followed? I tried playing with tinkercad but got frustrated because I knew what I wanted to do but didn't know how to do it.

    Very cool content.
    Watch out for Jimmy.
If he goes corporate on us it could get ugly for the channel. He may form a corporation and squeeze you out.

We could cut Jimmy in half and rebuild him into a cyborg now! I'm not worried about him :D

Family first. Thanks, I've been wanting a 3D printer but the software turns me off. I hope next semester the local community college will have a course in 3D printing.

This TinkerCAD is free and there is no downloads, its internet browser based. You could go in there and play with shapes right now.
