I loved you calling the metal bit “the shank” lol. I appreciate this video! Sold me on the tool, and its holder. Will keep in mind to buy a spare “shank” in case it somehow breaks, seeing as your friends have.

Good to see tools I use for decades finally appear as commercial products.

    Ah , yes ....
I saw the title of the video and my first thought was something about Star Wars .
    My bad .... 😅

Been eyeing up this tool, do have a deburrer from years ago. Curious to know how good this one would work on soft plastic like vinyl to remove mould lines, currently have to use a blade to cut the mould lines on soft plastic which has the risk of cutting in too deep, sanding is a bit of a struggle too. The handle and shank combo is a clever design by Dspiae.

Will not go deep when you use the chisel as plane tool. Of course without any handles. Just drop on surface and pull along, it cuts anything protruding from surface off, retaining flat surface.

@@vibeforge Yeah, the problem I have is the size of the chisel/length of the tool when working on intricate 28mm miniatures, already assembled, made of soft plastic (which is a growing trend now unfortunately from the traditional hard plastic sprues). They are a real pain to clean up.

@@TheAndrian463 figures are a little different because they don't have much flat surfaces to base onto, so consider using very sharp curved small blade or diamond-shaped MasterTools chisel tool to scrape off seam lines.
