Always been a fan of the A-6. Also the A-4. I feel like we retire aircraft too soon. I get that fatigue and flight time will ultimately retire an aircraft. However many A-6s were in the process of getting new wings etc when they were retired. I just dont see this drive for gen 4.5 gen 5 and even gen 6 fighters, and nothing else. From what ive seen of Russias abilities to fight, I fully believe our military of 30+ years ago could take on any "modern" military of today. I suspect its similar with China. I doubt they have the ability to wage a fight without huge loses. Then N. Korea well ....😂. So I just dont understand the constant waste of tax payers money on stuff we dont even need. Maybe im just old school and a grumpy old man of 41 now. Still say they should have a few squadrons of A-6's still.

Well Phil my Vackers Vilaint arrived today and as MrMoo stated it is certainly an improvement over the MikroMir kit. I must say the MikroMir kit was not too bad for pretty much the only 1/144 Valiant available and with Aussie decals. Thanks for the review mate.

Seems like a lot of work. You should get a plotter like a Cricut or Cameo machine and you can precisely cut masks in seconds. You can also scan in masks like those on ICM instructions and cut with a click of a button.

I'm guessing you could also pilot the mats with toothpick etc before cutting your tape.

got same with INFINI only thing I see is maybe a small diff in depth...infini do checkerboards A-D ..price for all 4 difference only thing make me get rid of my set ..na not convinced

Went to Omaha Beach, Utah Beach and the American Cemetery at Normandy. I was flabbergasted when we went to Omaha Beach. You could just see that it was a killing ground. God Bless the Greatest Generation.

Nice kit review of a personal favourite aircraft. As a youngster, I always wanted a 1/72 scale Wasp and lobbied Airfix, in vain, with letters to produce one. I am all for a 1/48 scale of both Scout and Wasp, but not at the expense of the 1/72 scale kits. Maybe this release will stir Airfix to up their game and actually release - at least - a retooled Scout, plus a first ever Wasp. Surely someone there must understand that modellers who buy kits of the Lynx, Seaking, etc., would also want to complete the nostalgic British naval helicopter stable?

How can you possibly compare it to manual sanding? It may be the same speed as manual sanding but it's less labor which is the fundamental function of an electric sander, to take the labor out of manual sanding. I mean who cares about the speed, I sure don't, I care about the labor put into the sanding. If it can be done easier by electric sanding then that is the key ingredient. I also have a Proxxon sander and it's great but there's not as many varieties on detachable bits for the exception of the angled bits which the Dspiae doesn't have, The Dspiae has more of a variety of different sizes which is a big plus imho. Just worth mentioning that if you search on the printables website you can find a small 3D printable stand/holder for the Dspiae bits, it's pretty nice and makes reaching for them much easier and quicker for ease of access.

Dear Sir, that particular Eagle kit is the very old (1970s) kit, not the recent 1/72nd scale release. It has solid, non-open body cages and is overly simplified. It’s not a very accurate reproduction, out of the box.

Sometimes when there’s a lull it can give you a chance to pick something from the “Stash”. Everyone get’s excited about a new kit only for it to go in the stash, personally my stash is starting to look like the end of “Raider’s of the lost Ark”!!! So it’s not always a bad thing, actually in a positive way it can turn you back on to a subject you might have forgotten about. Chin up lad’s 😂👍
