Could not agree more. Built the Bandai one a few years ago and it was fantastic!

Might be an acceptable alternative to the Bandai kit, which is out of stock now.
I'd stick with Bandai given the option.
Wish I bought a third one when I had the chance.

    Good review. And you're right.

tbh tthis looks like a combo of the og mpc kit and a bit of new tooling

I have the old MPC speeder bike. I think I’ll stick with that one 😅

This feels like the same kit to be honest. I built the MPC kit and this is pretty much it- with a pouch and Grogu figure added

Phil, Agree fully with both your observations and comments…soft detail and in my opinion in the £35-£45 price bracket.
For me when I opened mine I was somewhat underwhelmed considering where many companies are heading in terms of both the crispness of their moulding and the fine detail they manage to achieve.

Out of interest a friend asked Revell why couldn't they have a standing Biker Scout, due to licensing the figure has to be seated.

Maybe the Bandai ones have dried up on purpose.....?

Your right , it's very toy like and the base is terrible and nothing like the great Bandi version the couple found right now on Ebay cost a fortune over 130 pounds . Why aren't Bandi making this available again, have they lost the Star Wars licenses ? there's still plenty of PG falcons for sale but lots of other Bandi Star Wars has completely disappeared just like this speeder bike , why ?

Opinions are like rissoles, not everyone likes them.

Its overpriced, by at least 30%. I remember building a speeder back in the 80s. Must have been the Bandai one, but thought it was Revell.

MPC put out a 'Return of the Jedi' speeder bike model kit in about '83/84
